  1. Welcome to the club. Veilside, just like my first Supra. Brings back some long forgotten memories.
  2. I hear you Dunk, we've got a BMW M440i and the A90 Supra, both have frameless doors. Defrosting the cars in the morning has become a bit of a chore!
  3. Wow, that is terrible timing. Been -6 at night where I am. I suspect it's the same for most, if not worse, elsewhere in UK. Hope this got sorted yesterday?
  4. So looks like you've managed to get the active spoiler working with the FMIC? Are you willing to share some images of the custom brackets and the custom end tank design on the FMIC?
  5. Hi Mark, I think I have an old pair in the garage you can have. Likely to need a repaint. Do you still need these? Matt
  6. When I spoke to Paul Whiffin a few months back he said he didn't have them in stock and they were indefinitely back ordered.
  7. I assume you've still not sourced a set Matt? I've still not found anywhere with fronts yet. I was looking at the HKS Hipermax S, but I'd still prefer a full set of B6s.
  8. Agree. That looks really nice and what a great place to store your supra
  9. Both of mine have arrived too. Many thanks to all involved in putting these together
  10. I'm looking at my options in respect of suspension. My go to is a set of CW suspension, but Bilstein seem to have given up producing the B6 dampers for the JZA80 (Specifically the fronts). I've been waiting months for them to fall back into production but the date consistently slips and I can't find a set to allow Chris to work his magic. So I've been looking at alternatives and the HKS Hipermax S have caught my eye. These are an updated version of the Hipermax IV suspension. Apparently the S variant provides a more compliant ride. I was wondering if anyone has the Hipermax S and can offer an opinion on them? Would be great if someone has experience with the Hipermax IV and S.

  12. Thanks Another important aspect for me is the ability of the battery system to act as a power backup in the event of a power outage. Apparenly very few of the powerwall and equivalent systems offer this functionality. I'm sure I read recently that there were only 3 systems available in the UK at the moment.
  13. Anyone running solar with a Tesla Power Wall? Interested to hear of your experience.
  14. We are currently paying £492 combined per month. That is reduced to £425 until April with the government support scheme. We have an intergrated solar hot water system (came with the house), which is basically useless when you need it in the winter months.
  15. Absolutely epic work. This is how a respray / rebuild should be done. This is going to look amazing once complete. You going for a neat and tidy reapplication of the seam sealer, or rough and ready like OEM? I know you originally said you were going to limit the sound deadening to factory, but are you more inclined to go for a more modern solution now?
  16. That is really impressive. The quality of the finish looks really good. What a brilliant base to rebuild from.
  17. Would have been really impressive to see the transformation. I assume neither you or James have been notified of any hidden horrors found during the process? Or it is simply a case of you'll find out upon collection and examination?
  18. Did they manage to get any images for you whilst is was being processed?
  19. Reminds me of a Keron's desk.
  20. I can see you've written aluminium on the bonnet. What are the plans with this as it can't be dipped? Are you getting the doors done too?
  21. I didn't realise the dip process took so long. I assume this is just a workload thing versus the process itself? Do you mind me asking who you intend on using?
  22. Awesome. I've been waiting for the dip for ages
  23. I'm on holiday in Scotland over this event. I'd gladly have come otherwise.
  24. Still loving my A90. It's now done around 6.5k. Such an amazing car to drive. Interestingly we also bought a new BMW M440i gran coupe in May. This is a B58 mild hybrid with x-drive. It has approx 384 bhp and is certainly a fast and capable car. It is approx 0.5 sec slower on paper to the Supra, but in reality with the x-drive it is far more consistent in its launch time. Both my wife and I agree that the BMW isn't as exciting to drive as the GR Supra.
  25. I spoke to nearly every supplier on the net about a month or so ago and everyone was out of stock of the front B6 dampers. Rears are available though.
