  1. This is coming along nicely and I'm enjoying the level of detail in this build. Keep the updated coming.
  2. Found. Keith has sorted me out. Thanks Keith.
  3. Not a problem and many thanks for looking for me.
  4. I've bought most of my bolts new, especially anything suspension related as the plating process can cause hydrogen embrittlement. The risk is low, especially if the part is baked soon after plating, but I'd rather not take the risk on drive train parts.
  5. Yes I do. How much would you like for them? Happy to dicuss this via PM if you would prefer. Thanks, Matt
  6. Car was collected today by Dan from Auto Haul and dropped off at the dippers. Kane kindly travelled up with Dan to ensure the panels could be removed without damage. This is a monumental milestone for me and the rebuild. I'm both excited and nervous about this. I have asked if the company can get some photos or images of the process. Not particularly hopeful they will. If they do I'll be certain to post them. My step father - supervising the loading. Dropped off and ready for a bath. Before the spot was even cold, the GR Supra decided it needed to use the space
  7. I mentioned that I had finished the HVAC refurbishment. I had been waiting on some parts from Rock Auto and the new RHD evaporator I had tracked down from Japan. I thought I would put up a few pictures for you from this. I replaced the two bolts holding the pipes and expansion valve to the evaporator as they had corroded with age. I bought these new from Toyota versus refurbishing them myself. Expansion valve was direct replacement part from Denso and A/C seal kit was a generic kit via Rock Auto. This shows you the difference between the original Toyota expansion valve on the left and the Denso replacement on the right. This shows the state of the old bolt versus the new bolt. These hold the expansion valve and pipes to the evaporator. There is a temperature probe that attaches to the evaporator. There was no point blindly reinstalling this without first making sure it was working as per the manual. The testing involved placing the probe into water set at a specific temperature and taking a resistance reading. This required a lazer thermometer and multi-meter to complete. It wasn't too difficult and the results were as per the manual. Placed into the HVAC system. Of note, when coming to commission the A/C there is a requirement to place a volume of pag oil direcrly into the evaporator itself. This is the seal kit I bought for the car. If anyone else needs it for reference.
  8. It's been a long time since I updated this thread. I have progressed a few small things with the car, such as finishing off the refurbishment of the HVAC. More importantly I watched with great interest the work done on Darren's car (Wile e coyote). My plan had always been to have the car shell chemically dipped and then resprayed, so Darren's car set a perfect benchmark for me to assess if this was what I wanted to do, and being honest if I could afford to do it. I've since been to see Darren's car, which looks amazing, and I have spoken at length with Kane, who has been doing the body work. I'm pleased to say that my car is being taken to Surface Processing Ltd in Dudley on Monday where it will be chemically stripped and e-Coated. From there it will be taken to Kane where he will start the bodywork and respray. There are a few bits of the body that need some attention, but there are generally cosmetic, I dont - as far as I know - have any real rust issues. Undecided on colour at the moment. The sensible answer would be to keep it factory. Will update with some pictures showing collection and drop off. I will also see if I can get SPL to do some videos of the car being dipped.
  9. Welcome to the club and good luck on the refurb and NA-T journey.
  10. New clips arrived today. Although dissimilar in looks they work perfectly as a replacement for size, position and function. Ordered from a company called Digi-Key. Delivery was 2 days from the US!
  11. Not the best images, but there are two. A bigger one for under the canister and another on the near side wall of the engine bay, this is smaller.
  12. I've managed to find a stockist for Hellermann products - they supply clips etc. to the automotive industry. Unfortunately I can't find a stockist outside of the US that will sell individual items versus bulk, so this is a US order. I think I've found a suitable replacement. Code 151-00023. I've ordered 20 and I hope they work!
  13. Whilst removing all the looms from my car I’ve unfortunately, maybe invariably, broken a few of the clips trying to get them off the car. In particular I have a couple of offset bundling clips that I broke that hold the loom up and over the windscreen for the courtesy light. Toyota don’t list these clips in the EPC that I can identify, so I’ve been looking for an aftermarket option. Has anyone replaced these themselves and/or can point me in the right direction to a place that sells them? I can’t seem to find these without having to order thousands of them.
  14. Anyone got these from having removed the charcoal canister from their car?
  15. It's OK mate, Barry meant to say £4000, not £40. That feels more like Supra prices!
  16. Loads of these on eBay. Most locksmiths will have blank TR47 bladed keys, but they won't be branded Toyota. Instead you can get a genuine blank here: Toyota key blank eBay
  17. Welcome to the club. Are you also on the US Supra forum?
  18. I've repaired Russ' original ignition barrel - it jammed up a few years back on him and he got a replacement, but he then had to use two keys for the car. On inspection the springs on a few of the pins had lost their mojo and a couple of the pins were worn or slightly bent. Russ can now revert back to using the original key for all the locks and ignition He just needs to fit it!
  19. As per the above. Looking for both brackets for the factory charcoal cannister. Condition isn't particularly important as I will have them powdercoated. Please let me know if you have these available and how much you would like for them.
  20. Looking good. I've bought myself a couple.
  21. You can get the glass professionally polished to remove light scratches. There is a company near me that does it. They are coming out to remove my windscreen, rear screen and qtr glass on Tuesday ready for the car to go off for chemical cleaning to the same place as yours. I'll get them to look at my side glass and advise on whether they can polish them and how much it will cost. I'll let you know what they say.
