  1. OUCH.... So glad we don't have to go through that.... Man Flu finishes me off let alone 26 hours of panting and pushing, my poor old mum had the same with me... I was bloody 10pound & 12ounces. SOD THAT! Every time my GF starts getting broody I just mention it and she suddenly goes off the idea Good luck with the new little one. Mark
  2. cheap (i know... different spelling) :-)
  3. Cheers everyone, I'll see about getting the speed converter replaced and have the car de-limited at the same time. Strange though, its been really hot today and i've been out smashing it about all day and not had the warning lights once???? Maybe it doesn't like the cold wealther or something. Still gonna do it for peace of mind though. Thanks again PS- I love this site, you're all legends!!!
  4. Thanks for you time everyone, Congrats to Paul also, little supra owner in the making maybe? Suggestions really appreciated, might try EA as they are really close otherwise i'll go farther afield. Ta all.
  5. Hey all, spotted a silver soop having his pants pulled down (£££) at the pump in the BP garage in Braintree on friday night... I tried to toot the horn but all I got was a squeek Replaced it this morning so if I see you again you should be able to hear me. Are you the same one I see occasionally in chelmsford parked up near the army and navy flyover/dvla office? .

  7. LOL I'd love to but im just getting into the whole scene and haven't really worked out the whole 'when the events/meets are happening' section of the forum. Whens the next one? I'd love to come meet you guys. Where you from?
  8. Yeah that was me and my lovely lady. What did you think to her? (car/lady ) only picked her up on saturday (car) Tell me you didn't go down there for the shopping... It was so rammed everywhere. Were you out in yours? I didn't notice another soop.
  9. I see what you mean now, ive had a look at the spoiler and it deploys cleanly every time its just that it sometimes does the old sticking its tongue out thing when ticking over. Made me laugh my arse off when it did it the first few times but I reckon if it did it when sitting at the traffic lights i'd end up looking like a proper weapon Anyway, I'll try topping up the brake fluid to the maximum and see what that does. Fingers crossed. The other thing is I still get the stiffer steering at speed etc and everthing feels perfectly normal so im not sure that its that. Cheers guys, any more suggestions please keep em coming. Mark
  10. Im sort of Braintree/Chelmsford area so Witham is just down the road. Heard mumblings of a Dyno day down there on the 11th. What sort of work do Engine Advantages take on? Otherwise Enfield look like a good option, are they round the A406? I think Ive seen them. Cheers all, Mark
  11. Hi everyone, Just a quickie this time, wheres best to have my supra worked on in Essex? I want a garage to have a look at it all to sort out my error 42 thing and possibly change my cam belt. Wheres good? Any recommendations? I keep hearing the name Thor mentioned, who and where are they? Cheers All Mark
  12. Afternoon guys and gals, Quote - """Do you know what speed converter is has on it? It's worth while getting it checked over and possibly replaced.""" Speed Converter? Tell me more, where do I look to find out? Im not too worried about the active spoiler problem as I can just switch it off for the time being which has stopped that warning light but still a little concerned about the little engine block shaped light on the RH panel. It came up again today under heavy acceleration... I've repeatedly checked the oil level and its always dead centre of the mark on the dipstick. Is there anything else I can do to try and work out the problem or should I just ship it off to Toyota? I live in Chelmsford in Essex is there anywhere better to take it than a Toyota dealer as i've heard they can be a bit funny about the import soops. Another long post... soz :-) PS- Thanks for the warm welcome all, Loving the club!
  13. Evening all, Have just bought myself a shiny black 94' GZ TT. It has been looked after well as far as I can tell but since picking it up yesterday (in the pouring rain - fun) i've had a couple of warning lights light up randomly. Ive had the active spoiler miss-behave a couple of times, the warning triangle comes on and the active spoiler green light flashes (common problem I assume by all of the threads ive read) then once parked it has occasionally comes down then back up a couple of times. The other warning light ive had is on the small panel to the right of the steering wheel, its on the left hand end and looks like an engine block and comes with the big warning triangle. Both of these warnings have happened when Ive accelerated hard up to about 70 ish (ahem) mph but then go away a few seconds after I slow down to about 40 ish. They haven't happened at the same time either. After going through the threads left by other people about certain faults I thought i'd give it a go and tried Mawby's fault code ecu bypass method (thanks so much btw mawby and aerotop dave, without some of your threads I wouldn't have had a clue what to look for in a Supra). However instead of the big triangle warning light flashing the code, the engine shaped warning light did the talking. It flashed up error 42 (flashed 4 times, paused, flashed twice then repeated). The 'overdrive off' light also flashes on/off repeatedly whilst bridging the terminals. I was thinking maybe oil pressure or something as its under hard acceleration but hoped you guys could help me out. Btw its still restricted and still has the cats, pretty much stock apart from the wheels. Sorry for the long post but Im scared of driving my baby till I know whats wrong with her. Thanks alot.
  14. Thanks very much for the hard work that went into the supra guides!! Thanks to them I didn't feel like such a newb when viewing Supras. Just found myself a beautiful black auto GZ TT with everything I wanted on it and I pick it up on Saturday.... Can't wait!!!!!!!!
  15. A Dyno day sounds great, Im picking up my first supra this saturday and i'd love to find out what its got to give! Anyone mind if I come along? Its a 94' GZ TT Auto but its still restricted to 112mph... shouldn't be a prob tho should it?
