  1. quality, really would have thought the evo would have come out better than it did! i guess its down to drivers skills in weather like that!
  2. I have a friend who lives just above Bethesda so North wales is not out of the running.. my only concern is running it on the oil in it for 100 + miles... guess i could do a quick drain and refill. Right too early to think I shall have a look where you are this evening. Thanks Jonnie
  3. Any recomended places around the derby, notts stoke area? I am from basically Alton Towers (about 2 miles away)
  4. Hi again.. the usual new owner bombarding the group with questions to end the personal worrying.... The situation... New SUpra, last serviced in 1999, done 6000 miles since in 6 years. full service history before hand. Do I get it serviced at a lexus/toyota garage for i am guessing 600 quid(last time i had a supra) or i have a very good local garage or do i take it to a specialist garage( a garage for fast cars!!! wooo). What would you chaps do? It obviously needs all fluids changing and all belts, are there things that a toyota garage or specialist do that a normal but top bloke mate mechanic cant do. for half the price and i still get a stamp in my service book. Thanks Jonnie
  5. works.. took the battery off and on again and it seemed to co-operate this time. cheers should have tried for longer before posting i guess jonnie
  6. While she was "flying" down the road yesterday (10 miles over the limit), a woman passed over a bridge only to find a cop with a radar gun on the other side lying in wait. The cop pulled her over, walked up to the car, and with that classic patronizing smirk we all know and love, asked, "What's your hurry?" To which she replied, "I'm late for work." "Oh yeah," said the cop. "What do you do?" "I'm a rectum stretcher," she responded. The cop stammered, "A what?" "A rectum stretcher." "And just what does a rectum stretcher do?" "Well," she said, "I start by inserting one finger, then work my way up to two fingers, then three, then four, then with my whole hand in I work from side to side until I can get both hands in, and then I slowly but surely stretch it, until it's about 6 feet wide." "And just what the hell do you do with a 6 foot asshole?" he asked. "You give him a radar gun and park him behind a bridge..." Traffic Ticket $95.00 Court Costs. $45.00 Look on the Cop's Face............... PRICELESS
  7. ermmmm no animation in the old avatar....
  8. Hi, Picked up my new car, but when I had looked at it I had left the interior lights on and it was flat! and now the stereo says "security" tis one of these http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/~enzjmc/stereo.jpg the instructions says make sure the unit is turned off with the key position at acc... this is where it all goes tits up as mine is always on as soon as the ignition is turned. and then it does bugger all apart from say security. so i thought as it already says security move on two step two (after "prog 1 and 6 and power button" to "prog 1 and the tune rewff" button pressing. nowt any ideas or has everyone just binned the stock equipment? jonnie
  9. you do need a licience. just looking at doing mine. 2100 quid will get you 25 hours in the air and a licience at the end. cant fly at night, over towns, near airports.. apart form that you can pretty well take off anywhere you want. and some of the microlights you can buy now.. look like planes with elevators rudders and alerons. got a link somewhere where you can buy them. I was supposed to be starting this month then I bought this supra.. set it back a little bit but the car was worth it!
  10. Many thanks people. I agree to on the fluids and belts change. even if it has been run every so often its spent more time sitting perishing rubber. The expense of it all.. but god i cant wait to put my foot down again and burn anything that gets in my way... SUPRAS ROCK...... oh i have just finisghed a session in the pub... the evils of stella. Cheers everyone. JOnnie
  11. auto! i was supposed to be holding out for a manual!... still the last post has inspired me that a conversion can be done. we shall see. now to see if my insurance will insure it for a week so i can get it home and get it taxed and mot'd. I reakon they are going to laugh. gits
  12. Due to 9 points last year I sold my jap supra since then it feel like I have had something missing UNTIL...two days ago. I was offered by a mates dad his late wifes car... a uk 36000 mile P reg supra twin turbo.. full history in red with brown leather interior. sat in the garage apart from the odd run for 6 years!! how much... £7500. I paid instantly now I know its cheap but is it really cheap?? do UK models fetch much more? i noticed that this one does not have the three little dials my last one had so no turbo guage but it does have an electronic milometer and things like rear wiper and headlight washers oh and ABS! and a tracker which will hopefully save me some insurance. so time to start tuning..... i will be harassing soon for advice on exhuast and wheels as this is all i can afford for now. oh and i still have 9 points.. bummer but i do have a supra jonnie
