  1. I was only running my supra third party fire and theft until I had to renew.. That time has passed and the buggers have automatically renewed it on the 11th Can I still cancel it.. was going to try the forums insurers.
  2. An RSR and both decat pipes. Looking forward to it. With other bits of course.
  3. My only problem is getting it up my drive with it down. I do tend to go over 80 so I am listening to your argument for keeping it. May have to do some work on the drive... been delaying it since my supra has been able to get up, but I expect the new exhaust will also cause me problems..
  4. Off to get my new exhaust fitted later this week but would like to keep my old origional one including cats. Will it fit in my Supra for the journey home? jonnie I may as well use the same thread, I am also fitting a front Inter cooler. Do people keep thier front spoiler down or get it removed? does it actually do anything handling wise?
  5. I would like to give him a cheque for 200 and some keys so he can rectify the shut windows and then pay he balance, but unfortuantly both the two top windows are now damaged due to trying to open them and will prob need replacing.. so there is no point in him repainting bits etc.. I have such a feeling that I am gonna loose this one and end up paying for the job and then only to have the lot ripped out and replaced at a far far larger expense. Arrghhhh I hate confrontation............. as usual if you want a job done well Do it yourself.. arse!
  6. no.. see picture of how tough the job was for him.
  7. Hi, I wanted some opinions thats all.. I have house up for sale that is a fair distance from where I live now, I got a local painter to paint the front windows and the door. I went to check the job last week, and non of the bloody windows would open. I tried to force one and due to them deing very very old and obvioulsy rotten the window broke instead of opening. The painter says, that he could not be around to leave the windows open and so its my fault. He knew that i lived no where near the place and never mentioned to me that they would need to be opened for a few days. This was over a month ago, and there is still wet paint on one of the windows that broke. So.. is it a bodge job? painting windows shut. Or my fault. I need to get an idea before I meet up with him tomorrow and argue the point. He is charging me 400 quid for four windows a door and frame. thoughts?
  8. Right the reason I want the gauges is so when I muck around with the Boost I can see if I am starting to push the engine.. What are the most important things to watch when upping the boost? Is a rise in the oil temp as good an indication as watching the EGT rise? I just want to play with my boost controller but be able to monitor "things" so I dont push the engine/turbos to premature distruction?
  9. Will have boost on the Boost contoller, The AFR would change if the fuel pressure was dropping(am I right?) I like the idea of the Pod on the drivers side. Just getting a pod to fit both gauges. Who do both an EGT and AFR that would fit the same pod?
  10. About to go BPU, and I was thinking that the best gauges to go for were an EGT and an AFR. Where do people put them? I quite like having a clock! I have a sbs i color going in, but was told that its over 400 quid for the extra AFR harness.. OUCH. So advice would be welcomed on where to put the gauges and what types you think are best and are these the best to have. jonnie
  11. Doh! cheers chaps.. This forum rocks! No more sweating for me! I did have a quick nosy around and did fiddle with a couple of flaps..... thought there should be something other than fuses under the bonnet. Again thanks JOnnie
  12. Hi all, Not that interesting, but i went to use my road angel today, noticed the fuse had gone in the plug, changed it, plugged it into the old ciggy socket and off went my air vent controls,fan,A/C,clock and fag lighter socket! fuse did not blow again in the angel lead(Iam guessing my lead must be buggered) All fuses under the bonnet seem fine, are there anymore I should be checking to get these controls back. Any advice would be welcome. jonnie
  13. thanks all, I will leave it another week and then try and chase him up. I am sure there is a good explanation, my mind is at rest and being a sunday I am loosing the will to do anything.
  14. Thats all I really wanted to know, as you say I also thought he came across as a nice chap. I will just have to hold tight. Its just he has had my money for a month and I dont have a thing to show for it or any communication. Thanks for that.. I will just have to keep driving slowly with my warped discs!
  15. Hi, I was wondering if anyone know's "Fastisnice." I bought some discs and pads off him a month or so ago, paid up and never got anything. He mentioned he was going to Greece at somepoint... Anyone know him? or know how I could contact him apart from through here. Maybe I was a little too trusting with paying up! Not p*ssed yet but would like to hear from him(you if your reading this) ta jonnie
  16. I have all my bits for BPU, but I noticed yesterday that my InterCooler is not looking hot. Cant afford a lot so I guess its gonna have to be a replacement side one for now? Anyone? Would concider new for a good price. jonnie
  17. I just cleaned my car properly for the 1st time a couple of days ago. I remember getting some wax on the boot rubbers and so wipping them off I also hosed down the arches and got lots of dry mud from the arch rims. anyway.. I live on a bad drive and its quite rough on the way down, Ever since my cleaning I have got this really bad squeeking noise. BAD enough for me to stop the car 5/6 times to see if there is anything catching on the wheel or hanging from the chassis. On the way back up the drive, i popped the boot and the noise stopped.. well i had the clattering of an open boot but the noise seemed to stop. Has anyone experienced this.. is is common to have to replace these rubbers, mine are craked but not that worn.. amazing how loud this noise is. jonnie
  18. PAID PAID PAID.. MINE MINE MINE Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  19. Where about in Thialand are you? I have only been to the islands and would like to go back and see some of the mainland apart from Bangkok.
  20. Yes, with help from traders on here, I have my sbc color boost controller, an fdc, my cooler plugs, a walbro pump(but I keep reading that the stock one actually is better and quieter) just been serviced but do need to check my IC. Car is a 1996, 30k car. Thinking of trying to book in with a trader to get it all fitted at once as I want a EGT and a fuel mixture dial fitting to. I am VERY much lookign forward to it.
  21. Thanks for that. Seeing that I AM spending a fair bit of money I want to do it right 1st time.. Better get it all fitted then!
