  1. Very nice Alfa What the hell happened to the 2017 Civic, looks like it crashed into Halfords and picked up every piece of tat available
  2. If it ever gets to that stage you will likely find that automation is enabled when you enter / join a motorway and manual cars would not be permitted access, precisely for reasons like the one you mention This could actually lead to quicker journeys as a fully automated motorway could in theory run at much greater speeds safely than manual or mixed.
  3. The problem with automation is us, we are too unpredictable, in a fully autonomous environment it would be great, I think we will first see things like autonomous motorway lanes etc. Other issues include a no win situation, an accident is going to happen and the options are an elderly man, a women with a push chair and the occupant of the vehicle, what choice does the AI make, does the user have the option to configure themselves as the highest weighted human, therefore saving yourself is a priority etc. All very interesting though.
  4. Smart meters installed in all homes so that electricity used for charging vehicles can be charged accordingly.
  5. Does this include fully electric driven cars that have petrol / diesel generators onboard? The chevy volt is an example
  6. sounds like something fitted by quick fit
  7. There are a few threads on the subject, search compressor stall. I have run without a BOV on various cars and the turbo was fine, I believe CW also believes they will be fine, might be worth checking with your turbo manufacturer though, it could also highlight other weak areas by splitting pipes, end tanks and possibly cheap ebay copy inlet manifolds etc.
  8. If you dont want any noise then fit a recirc unit / kit. With no BOV you will get compressor stall, like a flutter sound on lift off
  9. Bosch, OEM or maybe an Aeromotive unit. I would avoid most of the dodgy copy units from ebay, look at suppliers on here like SRD and Whifbitz and see what they have in there fuel kits.
  10. Much quieter these days, a by-product of the age of the car and numbers on the road.
  11. Uprated cams will give you a higher power figure but also shift your power curve to the right, stock cams will provide more low down torque but throttle the engine higher up the rev range. Single in tank pump OK to 600ish, Walbro 255, Bosch 044 or the Walbro 450lph will all do the job, would be on the limits with Walbro 255 though.. What injectors and other fuel mods do you have, what ECU you using?
  12. From memory you take up the plastic cover which is held on with 3-4 nuts, then the ECU comes out attached to a tray and the plug is held in with a bolt.
  13. Check all your fuel joins just to be sure
  14. The problem with the filter at the bottom is any oil would run out instead of being caught by the catch can Looks like the exhaust side is already routing back into the intake. Are you sure that blue pipe isnt for the idle control valve, can you get a pic of where it comes off the engine?
  15. Throttle body side most people just leave as stock, exhaust side you can run to a catch tank and then either breath to atmos or back into the inlet.
  16. Whifbitz did a nice catch can that mounts near the suspension, you can either put a vent to atmos filter on or as above run back to the intake
  17. Not sure where you got that info from but to my knowledge none of it is correct. Sam has never been part of Life (until now) or Syvecs, working for TDI he was a customer of both companies.
  18. If you didnt want to go for a drive you could jack it up and spin the wheel by hand to see if they are working, its much easier to go for a drive though and test all sensors at once
  19. Easiest way is prob the same way Lee instructed, fire up sCal, connect to your ECU and add a gauge for each wheel speed input and see if they work. Failing that you can setup logging, go for a drive and pull the logs.
