  1. Cheers Guys Very pleased with it, been down this afternoon putting lights mirrors seals and boot struts on, paranoid about scratching it but its gonna happen and did slightly when putting the back lights in. Should be done for tomorrow. As for cost I have got a rough idea of around the 2k mark but we kept finding more bits to do, I'll find out when I get the keys back.
  2. Hi all, finally got round to having my supra resprayed, it was suffering with a rusty front wing, rust around the rear window seals, chipped lacquer faded red paint in some areas and generally looking a bit tired close up. Spent a day and half removing all the parts bumper, boot, skirts, seals handles etc Its been awsy about 2 weeks at the body shop. Going back tomorrow to refit all the bits, will post some more pics when its done. Steve
  3. Chris wilson put stainless steel pistons on mine as the car stood for a while each year and never got full travel through the pads. Not had a problem since with my jap spec calipers
  4. Any Good. Sorry about the bin and the bonnet paintwork high res image at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/yxpqbs266hscqke/nto45CIBGP
  5. Thanks Harvard thats what I thought when I found a slightly loose hose clip on the matrix out pipe which was weeping slightly and I thought I had cured it, may be another tiny hole somewhere yet to find. I have just pressed the 2 big button on the heater controls to put it into diagnositc mode which indicates, air mix position sensor and solar sensor.
  6. Hi Staples, I am having exactly the same problem, been searching for months & months and I have read every post I can find, I have flushed matrix, fitted new thermostat, checked rods, and all is fine, a few weeks a go I had a nice 48 degrees with a temperature sensor in the vent, now I am lucky if I get 4 degrees, I am having another go tomorrow and will definately let you know if I find anything. Mine seems to work for a bit if I force water back into the matrix outlet pipe whilst running and then quickly put the pipe back on, but after a week of driving I loose all heat. Steve

  8. That should do for removing and installing the stem seals, the magnet part you mentioned is normally a seperate tool used to grab the collets once you squash the valve spring and retainer to save them jumping into the engine bay.
  9. Nasoup, Did you fix your bearing problem in the end, I am just in the middle of replacing the rear left, and have similar problems but I just read chirs's post about the worn splines as by nut has loosened in the past. Just wondered if you had any more problems
  10. I put my gauges on screen using a Kenwood double din Stereo. Didn't want to spoil dash to much. I can also change the pictures to different views or gauges
  11. I did mine a while ago, 10 minutes at 100 degrees in the oven seems to be enough to make the sealant go sticky so you can prise them apart, I used a plastic polish from a caravan place for use on plastic windows, its in a yellow tube. Worked really well. But then I got some Glass ones.
  12. Thanks Guys, it was sliver but now black but it could do with another coat of paint, the photo and flash make it look like it still has silver bits on it, I found the mesh at a friends house I belive he got it from MotorWorld, and yeah the cat did want feeding but its head made a good tri-pod
  13. Not yet, its still in my garage will get some more pics of it when I can get the car out in the day light.
  14. Hi Just finished doing some work on my supra which involved the valve stem steals, cam belt and new radiators and I thought that some mesh would look better in the front rather than the big hole, so I had a go with the use of a hammer, cutters, marker pen and some paper, a piece of decking wood as a Jig and some satin black paint. Fitted with the original trim clips Any thoughts appreciated. Steve
  15. Thanks Hodge and Marco , I tried both these methods last night but I have left it running for quite a while today and its a lot quieter now, just get a loud whine when I first start the car then it goes. Haven't been able to take it on decent run yet as no tax or MOT, will see how it goes. Thanks Again
  16. Any body know if there is a different way to bleed the power steering system. I have just fitted a new (Water) Radiator (CW Style, using an auto cooling rad in a manual car, using the cooler at the bottom of the new rad instead of the ugly one at the front) But as I had to drain the power steering fluid to re-route the pipes, the pump now whines pretty loud when I go full lock to lock, Yes I have put fluid in. Any help would be help!
