1. Reminds me of this thread a bit. The stuff CW posted there helped me understand things a bit better (although I'm still not sure I have it all right!) The way I see it, 'more flow' can only refer to the turbo itself (and subsequent replaced pipework for FMIC etc). So the advantage once the air gets to the intake is that it's cooler. But it's not a lot denser - air density is relative to absolute zero (-273 deg C), so even a 30 deg decrease in temperate is only about 10% more dense. So I think that's part of the power increase, but that most of it comes from being able to advance the timing. Am I even close to 'getting it' yet?
2. Thank-you, Inspector. 172 mph meant nothing to me before you explained it.

4. My guess (if they work like Teins) is leave the big nut alone. On Teins, you'd turn the adjuster fully clockwise to the hardest setting and then count clicks anticlockwise so you know where you are. I bet it's pretty similar
5. If that's a long journey you're a bit lazy driving to Tesco's
6. Eek! Glad you found the cause, good thing it didn't happen on a longer journey.
7. Like this chappy? Just found him by the crapper - glad I noticed him before I sat down! The glass is just over 3.5 inches wide. Could do with a wash and a shave
8. There's places in Oz that offer modified valve bodies, the most extreme replace one or more the springs in the accumulators with solid pipe. Compared to those, the shims are a fairly mild mod. The other mods they do are to generally increase the fluid flow around the box, I believe. Search Soarer Central for 'shift kit' if you want to read about them.
9. That was already cracking me up but then this made me spit coffee! Class.

11. avicodec? As a player I like ZoomPlayer, even the free one is very good.
12. No worries, I just thought I'd been misunderstood as defending the cheap tyre idea
13. Whoa, steady on! I agree! But the only way you'll be sure of that is to go nowhere near the limit. In fact my comment was more about hard vs soft compound than cheap vs expensive.
14. The only logic I can see behind buying a cheaper tyre is that it might lose traction more gradually than a softer, grippier tyre, which would make it safer to test the limits of traction, although the limit would obviously be lower. (Note that I said cheaper rather than cheapest!!!) But I'm not at all sure that applies in the wet - you'd be far better off with a good tyre on a narrower wheel.
15. Thought so. I could tell how long the queue was by how quick you came round again
16. 38 in one day... wow! Took me all weekend to do 18. Is this you two?
17. Shave after a shower, keep your face wet. Works for me, putting lotion on afterwards didn't help much. Hang on - we are talking about your face, aren't we? The perfect shave, apparently.

Nengun also have it at the same sort of price as rhdjapan. Are either of them good to deal with? Not really heard much about either of them...
19. Oh, did he? Try to cover it up so he could keep both drivers in the front row? If that's the case then that makes sense of the constructor points penalty. Even so, it's pretty harsh!
20. That was about all I could find I'd never heard of ajp before so I was curious. Seems like there's no common standard for them, so you'd have to use the manufacturer's software.
