  1. 2012, now there's the very definition of 'amazing trailer - tragic film'.
  2. After having watched many 3D movies in the cinema, I'm fed up with them. I'd much sooner watch a blu-ray in HD. There is only one film I've watched in 3D that remotely pulled if off and that was Avatar. Sorry, doesn't really help
  3. Very special even if there is another. Great base car to start a project, very jealous Mr P!
  4. Ok, so it's not what the supra is at all (a german executive car) and modifying a car so you can't even tell what it was is an odd concept to me, but if that was it's own car (not a supra underneath), damn it would be nice! That car needs building as a new model.
  5. None of them scream out 'amazing' to me.
  6. Not a fan of flocking, but with all the interior done like that it looks good
  7. S Reg TT6 Aero Could be the only one in the country?
  8. A lot of people have hit the nail on the head in this thread. The reason for the existance of belief in a high power comes from one of three things or a combination of these things: 1) A lack of understanding (what's that big ball of light in the sky? - If gives life to everything on the planet, it must be godly) 2) Hope (the need to satisfy emptyness, or a means to the end over injustices that can't ever be righted) 3) Power / control (influence over others)
  9. Easily done nowadays. Maybe £2.5k / £3k for the job done?
  10. Have to say, there's some great snaps of our members cars in this thread. I wish I had the photo talents of some of you guys.
  11. Wow, that's the nicest supra I've seen in a while!!! I think I've just creamed! O M G That girl is unbelievable! I think I've just fallin in love! She's defo on my xmas list! Brill!
  12. I think the spice of life is variety and there's always room for a good 2D platformer in the world fo 3D. DKCR shows this perfectly, 2D isn't something that is old hat, it just needs doing well I think the biggest thing is misxing 3D and 2D. Mario Galaxy (1 and 2) is a percfect example of this. Playing along in 3D then getting to a section that goes back to the routes of Mario - in 2D, with with 3D graphics still in play. Aye, that has happened with my Wii in the past, but then a great game comes out like this or Super Mario Galaxy 2 and I get back into the Wii and PS3 gets a lack of attention. Thanks. Yeah, I've had DCK 1 2 and 3 on my Wii at home since they came out on the virtual console! Completed all in full again - such magic to them! Defo, Rob. DKC is also one of my all time favs. Although I'm torn between whehter I think DCK1 or DCK2 is the better one?!
  13. Thought I'd post up a quick review of the new Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Wii as I've just been bowled over with how good it is. I know there will be a lot of people out there that played the original and maybe like me, consider it to be one of the all time best games of that era. I originally produced this as a review for Amazon (I know it's a bit geeky). Utter Brilliance - Retro Nostalgia with a Modern Update The original DKC is an all time classic game made by the developers of that era - Rareware. The music, the game play, the graphics - combining to form one of the fondest gaming memories of my childhood. It was scary loading up Donkey Kong Country Returns for the first time. How can a new version live up to those childhood memories? Well, the fact is, this is first time I've ever bothered to write a review of a product on Amazon, so you can gather that it does... and more so! It is simply brilliant - the perfect combination of the classic with enough new elements to bowl you over for a second time round. Fans of Donkey Kong Country on the SNES will find nods to the original around every corner. The most important thing is the new developers have added loads of fresh twists to the original idea, making it stack up well in todays modern gaming world, but at no point have they forgotten their roots. Oh, if you were enchanted by the music scores in the original, those tunes are back in this version. It does the SNES version proud - you need this game in your life (again) Only negative thing is the Kremlings aren't in the game, which I think is a shame. Even though the new enemies work well, they're just not Kremlings!
  14. There's a lot of good posts in this thread. Makes me wonder whether I'm actually logged on to mkivsupra.net or not
  15. Completely free higher education is ridiculous. The situation would be worse than it is now with people going to uni for a knees up. Everyone should be educated to a specific level. Going to uni is a career choice. Why should Mr 'I didn't go to uni and I work for Tesco on basic wage' pay for people to go to uni to potentially earn loads more than him.
  16. I also think there's too much pressure on kids to go to uni nowadays. Most jobs out there require nothing from a degree. They require good on the job experiance and common sense. I'd say 95% of the people in my office have a degree of some sort. Those degrees are predominately irrelevant to how well they can do the job. Are higher fees going to stop people from going to uni to do useful degrees that are important to the economy? No, because a decent degree is a path to the useful jobs that hand out higher salaries - because they are only doable by the countries elite. That is what uni should be about - accessible to all, regardless of financial situation, but you're only in if you're very bright. Increased fees will not change accessibility, but it should assist with the later.
  17. P.s, I think there should be another cat in list for 'increase justified but not as much'.
  18. As far as I’m concerned, the whole country is taking a hit financially and I don’t see why students should be exempt from it. Not increasing fees will mean everyone else takes a bigger hit for it. Going to Uni should mean that you come out the other end with increased earning potential. This may make the 3 years of a p!ss up students think twice. And in any event, there is an improvement to the pay back system too. I can totally understand potential students being annoyed though, it's money out of their pockets, and no one likes that.
  19. That engine bay looks totally new after the clean
  20. The matrix would suggest your tat is wrong!
  21. On another note, I think I'm one of the few that doesn't find liz stunning. Sure she's good looking, but she's far too skinny and she's got scary alien eyes.
  22. I loved everyone's reaction when Stuart came back into the house after the firing. People take the show too seriously. It's simply a TV show and that's why Stuart's still in it. I have a feeling however, that he'll do ok during the interviews next week because he has the gift of the gab. Perhaps Liz is simply just another clone of everyone other decent candidate and that's why she went in lieu of the brand; no one can argue he's different.
  23. I'd be worried about spending £1500 on a macbook and having the limitations that come with no being able to use windows / PC stuff.
