  1. I did one, although I got to drive the Ashton, the Lambo and the Ferrari! If it was one, I’d pick the Lambo (as long as it's the murci) any day, but that's because it's my dream car and even just sitting in one makes my heart race.
  2. Never heard of the book, but it sounds like a good read. From the gist of it, a film adaptation would be brilliant as I presume it would be a documentary style story with numerous flash backs highlighitng certain events and the stories of a few non or maybe connected individuals? Sounds like it would be epic.
  3. Possibly, she had a very 'pow' bottom. And the roof: Well, I'll throw in a collection of hi-res images of the cheeky photos I have of the same day
  4. Best thing is, she's not (or wasn't) a model per se, she was just getting cash together before uni - so not an empty shell!
  5. Which one, the brunette was fit as.
  6. Cheers mate When had my bodywork done, I knew exactly which front bumper and which rear bumper I wanted, but the skirts were a more tricky choice. I think the stock skirts stack up to any of the aftermarket stuff, so a trial rear, OEM skirts and new front bumper will look great IMO.
  7. I know it's your car, but do you like it? I was at Asda a while back doing a shop and when I returned to my supra, there was a chap and his missus getting back into their car (a Smart Roadster). The guy wasn't exactly short, but it looked like a game of twister with them both trying to get themselves and the shopping into the car.
  8. The turbo aerotops available to us all came in auto, so if you want a 6 speed, it will need to be a conversion anyway. You could easily have your NA aero converted to a TT 6 speed with £12k with money to spare. Throw a single in there at the same time and bulk buy may allow you to do it but would be a close - very close. Considering you want a 6 speed, I may be inclined to stick with your own car for the project.
  9. Cheers, Gaz. looking over that now. Just mental isn't it. I quess if you're spending the money of a one-77, it won't be too hard for the salesman to convince the buyer to part with some pocket change for the Cygnet novelty for the missus
  10. Ah, the love child of a supercar manufacturer and absurd legislation. “Mr Ashton, you need to produce excessive carbon designing and building a pointless car to meet our un-thought-out legislation” “Ok then Brussels, how about this, the cygnet. It will retail at £30,000, so obvious, if someone’s got £30k to blow on a car, they won’t care about the low tax and MPG savings this thing will offer” What is the point? It surely will only appeal to either nutters or hardcore Aston enthusiasts?
  11. 'the horn doesn't work'. Lol, that is a very simply fix on probably 99% of cars out there. To be fair though, if you don't think that the horn works on your supra, it might be that it does work fine, it's just that it's so pathetic you can't hear it!
  12. I didn't realise it had been annouched already. Do you have a link? If I was looking for an cost effective daily driver, I just don't think 40-50mpg cuts in nowadays for a brand new motor. My 2000 reg 1.8tdi escort is down to return 46mpg and that's for a model that came out in the early 90's. For something new, I'd want to see at least 60mpg plus. On another note, I've seen some of the specs for company cars that our sister company offer and the Volvos all seem to be top notch in the MPG cats.
  13. I've heard that the government will be offering very tempting cash incentives to buy a new electric car in the new year. Obviously, there's a trade off in style with an electric car, but it might be worth waiting to see what they offer. If the scrappage scheme was anything to go by, there may be a few grand at stake. You then get zero road tax and ultimate low running costs.
  14. If you're getting a new TV anyway, then yeah, why not get a 3D one. I'm not so sure about this VAT rise thing. I think companies are making too much of a marketing ploy out of it to get people to part with their cash before they may need to. I'm not going to rush out I don't think - it's only 2.5% in the grand scheme of things - may get absorbed one way or another and there's always sales on. 3D tvs are only just hot off the press too, could be that things get outdated fast in the beginning?
  15. Wow, that's a mental morning trip arond the neighbourhood Old age prangers.
  16. No specific mention of rhubard. Might be ok? To be honest, I'm slightly worried. I run a mushroom farm up north and publicity like this doesn't do me any favours. What if the southerners decide they not only don't want to buy generic fruit and veg from up north, but stop buying drugs too?
  17. What a beast and an Aero to boot. 800hp with a hole in the roof, what ever would Chris W say.
  18. The first one wasn’t as much of a show of pedantism as the first. In light of that, I thought I would quote your second post to divulge in a little bit of Scott=op baiting; it’s one of those pastimes that you can always rely on to deliver a result
  19. A mere jest, nothing serious about it
  20. In general? Jeez, now that woud be long a long list to compile.
  21. Rob, Are you in the market for a decent new TV anyway, or you consider upgrading a decent Full HD LCD or Plasma set up? Just that unless you need a new TV anyway, is it really worth it right now? What do you think?
  22. A few people off from work at the moment. The GF's aunt and uncle are off too. Funny you should mention it, had a little bit of ear-ache today, but that could be proverbial rather than physical Guigsy, In summary, Scott says 'no, I haven't'
