  1. I'm sick of being mislead in this thread.
  2. There's obviously points for an against this average idea. After considering Thorin's thoughts on the matter, I think an average my not be the solution. Perhaps a firmer emphasis on the fact 20mb won't be attainable by most customers and more onus on providers to direct their potential customers to pre-testing of lines. What I do feel needs sorting out which seems to have been slightl over looked is actual costs. I pay for 20mb broad but get 4mb, yet my friend in place x gets 18mb and pays the same? I think the costs banding needs sorting out more than the wording.
  3. I thought he took that onboard and sent a load over?
  4. So now you've moved for banning figurative things? That's hardcord that is, Jag. RedM will send you a pack in the post.
  5. Pretty sure I've priced this cheaper than you can get anywhere with what's included.
  6. People need to understand that if you've not got painted rims. i.e polished or chrome etc, then no matter what you put on, they will get screwed driving in the winter when salt and all the other impurities are all over the road. A flimsey wax barrier is not going to give you an all year round wheel barrier. If you do use polished / chrome in the winter, then you will need to keep on top of cleaning them like they're your children.

    come on summer :)

Come on the summer.... uh uh ahhhhhhhh.
  8. On the flip side, people might choose to not bother with 20mb on the premise they will get nowhere near it when the truth maybe that they might be in that 1%.
  9. That would be virgin fibre optics. In that case you should pretty much get bang on 50mb as you get what you pay for with fibre optics.
  10. Must have been a proto - surely no one's mental enough to part with the asking price for one?
  11. You're determined to build everything out of straw! Learn from piggy no.1 one - you'll just get blown by a wolf.
  12. That's the point of being a Vegan, Jagman - no more animal products, this includes leather and wool. Hats aren't essential and flips flops optional in the harmonic Vegan / Ethanol world of the future. Only thing that is mandatory is being nice to the animals. disobey and you will be turned into fuel yourself (+ soap perhaps?)
  13. I'd say that was fair as long as it was mandatory for all service provides to qoute the same. Business suicide if BT decided they would just 'do it'.
  14. Perhaps if we all became Vegan, then the masses of land devoted to the herds could be reused to grow the crops?

    Car Lashes???

Suprised it too this long to RE...
  16. That is suprising. Are there some special conditions for which the crops are needed to grow in because in places like Texas there's areas the size of cities available?
  17. Potentially having to drive into Liverpool and remain stationary while I fill up on E85 doesn't make it a good prospect!
  18. It's immense. I left the PS3 running the GT World Series in b-spec last night with a lesser experienced driver at the wheel and turned over to watch what the GF wanted on TV. No babysitting him whatsoever and he won every race in the Mazda. I was furiously babysitting my driver in the ZR1 and couldn't win. The ironic thing is, when I won the car from the b-spec MX5 cup, I didn't even bother looking at it for a while because my perception was that it would just be 'another car to sit in the garage doing nothing'!
  19. Sorry to hear that I got done over when I lived in Preston. The house felt 'wierd' after. The insurance 'new for old' payout almost certainly compensated for the hassle though.
  20. BT broadband at my mum's home was a life saver. It's still a shocking speed, but compared to what we had it's infinitely better. The realiability is the key for her - it's never failed, but she pays good money for that. I've now 7 months in a contract with Sky. I'm on a 20mb service and get ~4.5mb. I'm sure I could get better down the line than that. I've got the tv and phone with Sky too and the whole service is a joke. Can't wait for summer when the 12 months is up.
  21. I quess that's what happens if you've watched all the same old video clips over and over - get him to send you some new stuff
