  1. Cheers, Pabs. No one offered me quite what I wanted at the time and then a property opportunity came up. Pursuing that meant I wouldn't have been able buy a GT-R if I managed to sell the Supra so I decided to keep it. Price wise I'm a bit out of touch with Supra values, but that sort of price region seemed to sit ok with me when I was mulling it over Cheers
  2. Thanks, Frank. I just noticed you tried to PM me. My inbox was full but I've cleared some space if u want to try again?
  3. CAR NOW SOLD. Since purchasing a GT-R, I haven’t really been making use of my Supra. I’ve therefore decided to put it back up for sale. With that said, I’m in no particular rush and I’m happy to hold out for a reasonable price. The photo below was taken a few weeks ago when we actually had a bit of sun. I still think the car is seriously good looking. It turns a lot of heads. The best acknowledgement I’ve had was a couple of months back from a chap driving a Lambo Aventador. Getting the thumbs up from a guy in a £250k motor is quite the endorsement. The car is very, very quick. It gives my GT-R a run for its money on a roll. The sound is great too. It’s not too loud tottering about but on WOT it roars and the whistle/whoosh never gets tiring. The engine has been rebuilt with uprated components and mated to a GT35R DDB turbo. In my opinion it offers a good balance between power/turbo lag. The car is running around 500BHP at 1.2 bar. At this level you can launch the car on a dry day without skidding; although this is helped by the 12 inch wide rear tyres. The sound system had been upgraded with Rainbow speakers all round (incl subwoofer). The speakers are controlled by two Kenwood Amps and a Kenwood Head-unit. The head-unit allows direct control over the subwoofer level, has USB connectivity with iPhone/iPod control (it works fine with all the iPhone models I’ve had including the iPhone 7) and Bluetooth hands free. The resulting sound quality is spot on and can be cranked to headache inducing levels without any distortion. The car was built from the ground up in 2008, starting with a shell from a CAT C car (The car is therefore recorded as a CAT C on the log book). Ibrar Jabbar of speedwells (trader on this forum) had the repairs done prior to me buying it from him. The engine was built by Michel Lane/Ian Walley (Ian Walley Racing). The car has been running great over the past few years since the last of the gremlins were ironed out. The car has been maintained exclusively by Ian since the build was finished in ~2009. Bad points: The bodywork was completed 10 years ago and while the majority of is still pristine it does have chips/scuffs in the usual places. The lip of the front bumper is the worst area given how low the car is. Over time some of the areas where the rivets hold the overfenders in have raised slightly too. I’ve replaced the stock aerial with a stubby one from a group buy on this forum. It’s much sleeker but it’s nowhere near as good as the stock aerial. I don’t listen to the radio in my supra so form over function prevails in this situation but if you want a good quality radio signal then it will need replacing. Apart from the above, everything else is as to be expected. The wheels are much wider than standard so there is more feedback in the steering wheel than a stock car and with the car being low you won’t get it into a multi-storey car park (for example); but that’s the nature of the beast. It’s worth noting that I opted not to have the AC included in the build given the roof comes off. Traction control was also omitted given how pants the stock system is. Mileage is ~87k MOT/Service due in Dec. Car is based in Warrington/Wigan area I’m looking for about £17, but I’m willing to hold out for the right price. The private plate (R9 SUP) does not come included, but happy to negotiate on this. PM me if interested. 4. Car hasn't changed in any significant way. This photo was from this weekend (sorry for going off topic).
  5. Not bad, just getting old Yeah still got the supra. Was out in it today. Looks Like I got spotted based on another thread.
  6. Hi Jazz, I received an email from supraforums siting your build, so I thought I'd drop in and wish you luck. It's been a long, long time in the making! Happy to see such significant builds still taking place. Matt
  7. Wow. No messing about on the suspension. Great work.
  8. Wow. that looks flawless!
  9. Cheers. Massive shame when the CJ / Gamer car got written off. Not sure what ever happened to Supragold's car. I have to say though, I didn't like the ultra arches he ended up putting on.
  10. Supragold's and CJ's / Gamer's car (before black wheels) were the ones for me. I used to drool over those cars 7 years ago
  11. F me that's a shafting of a bill. Shocking, Shane.
  12. Looks awesome, Johnny
  13. I have a Defi BF EGT gauge. You don't need to monitor it as such, as it will 'warn' you when the defined temp has been breached with tones and and flashes. The Defi link series allows you to record the moved of your gauges, so you can have a blast then play back the gauges movement.
  14. Fantastic work! - - - Updated - - - P.s, did you do your blue LED conversion yourself?
  15. Does anyone know how to change the display units of the AEM Tru-boost? It's not clear from the manual how this is done further than it requires pressing 'some buttons'! It's displaying PSI and I would like it to show bAr. Ta
  16. I'm sure there's plenty of companies out there ready to rip you off on any model of car to be fair!
  17. I glanced at that and read 'Tempted by Whippie'... Not sure why. But I would love a Mr Whippie right now (ice-cream!).
  18. It's the minority that's shouting the loudest though........ which is Ironic!
  19. Threads and posts like these are making it seem like members of this forum are jealous / bitter individuals I think there needs to be a bit of a laying off the Supra VS GT-R nonsense.
  20. I understand what you're saying, but I would have thought an element of risk is built into the 100k and the belt would, on average, last longer than that.
