Ok I need some space in my cave for a new arrival, and have a few supra spares I havnt used or invisage using for a while: An NA engine £75. Will sell any parts required separatly if you want for cheapish . . eg ALT PAS, Cam covers and manifold, mounts, block, head, whatever . . W58 Manual conversion, I was keeping this as a spare as I thought mine may give up the ghost, but its been two years now and running strong, flywheel box prop master slave pedal hardline clutch ECU, only thing required is the gear surround £475 ono Volk racing, forged 1 piece wheels . . these have got to be some of the lightest 18in wheels about, need a refurb to be mint but still passable as they are (see pics), front tyres can be used, rears are gone. 18 x 9 ET45 and 18 x 10 ET48, Clear UK brakes £225 ono Location Harrow NW london

well . . .iv got the larger injectors lying arround, iv ordered a 12psi pulley and im winning a dastek on ebay . . . . With the dastec you can run a few maps, so im going to use a wastegate to limit boost to 7 psi on one map then have another for the full 12. befor that tho i need to sort a static pulley tensioner, bracket brace and most probably water inection to cool the charge . . oh and im sure i need a better clutch soon. My biggest incentive for water inj is as a drift car it doesnt see much airflow anyway for an intercooler or chargecooler and then the other advantages -

A picture of the final set up, an extreamly lucky find on ebay and I was on a 200mile round trip like a shot to collect the a Vortech super FMU (top right of the picture) this saved me a lot of money and time wating for one from america. Blitz dump valve flange was welded on and a cold air shield and duct fabricated. So after a weekend of pining after a test drive in it whist involded in a 24 hr kart race I booked her in at power engineering for a test run. 104 bhp increase @ just under 7 psi . . .Job done . . for now -
I was under the impression the Dyno measures drive train resistance itsself on the coast down after the run to calculate the FWHP figure.

This AFM is proven to be fine up to about 15psi in this location (source - http://www.lextream.com). I thought about all the above considerations, but would have still done it this way anyway to know for certain, in many other after market boosted aplications its also this setup (post compressor) and fine MX5s, hondas, 350zs , bmws etc. The nature of the vortech means there is little or no boost in cruising conditions anyway (The dump valve acts as a Compressor bypass too), In all the Post compressor sets ups i have researched the AFM having once reached its maximum capacity signals a switch to a super safe fueling map. An aftermarket ECU would be ideal, however this car is running the standard lexus ECU, (a 100 wires of fun) im a big believer in OEM ECUS, so i will continue untill it really does stop me, as opposed to might stop me. Il see how it goes, theres quite a few happy chappies on lextream with this set up, and a few strong indications that at this low boost no suporting fuel mods are required. when i dyno it i may see how she performs with the RRFPR disconected. My current pulley will only suport about 6psi, and this is fine for me, with my home made gearbox adaptor plate, w58 Gbox, and standard clutch, 10.5:1 compression ratio etc etc, running more boost is not really worth it to me (even fitting this is not necessary for me at all but I felt guided by fate to give it a go) gains at 6psi are excelent anyway (again lexstream for numerous dyno graphs etc) Also im a tightwad . . . . . its got me this far, this Car and all modifications is all in for about £2800 so far, Rising Rate FPR all the way! I would also like to say all coments are appreciated, . . theres always room for improvement, and im happy to explain / discuss any decisions I have made, if it wasnt for these topics online I wouldnt have contemplated such an undertaking. -

no thats a very good idea . . actually im upset i didnt think of that my self (i was brain farting along the lines of bracing it from the front) it does flex a little bit too much for a 10mm steel plate, a simple brace would add piece of mind -

Mounting spacers for the charger, I made up on my lathe, had to get them down to about 86mm in the end With the charger mounted, I had a pack of 0.2mm shims to get it level with stright edge, very hard to measure acuratly, so we will see how the belts fare -

Fitting the Fish bracket, the lower two bolts need a 2mm spacer (as acuratly i could measure with an engineers square and feeler guage) behind them to make it flush, the right side coil needs to be moved to the side of the engine, and one of the distributer wires re routed, or it would eb clamped by the bracket. There was also an inner arch clearance issue . . I hammered it well but the clearance wasnt enough so i had to use the other tool in my box, the grinder . . -

[video=youtube;QD0p-dnRUSg] Santa pod last week Preparations are under way for the supercharger now . . . standby! Ed glad you enjoyed it . . . it was my pleasure -
Ryan me thinks you will seriously regret selling this engine setup, I cant magine anything faster or more deployable in any situe in a supra, and probably quite economical to boot! Actually a bargain for the money too, For the spec and developement! Its worth more in parts. on a side note where did you take the oil feed for the turbos from? (and return) I need one for my vortech, thanks R

A last min visit on the friday from seba persuaded me to come to supra pod! I was up a hired crane re building a barn roof in belgium at the time and the crane had to be back by 5pm . . . and then we had to dash for the tunnle for 10pm friday night! we missed the train by 4mins, due to some traffic in brussles and elsewhere on the E40, and then uk customs decided to rub it in too . . (another long story!) Persevering we made it to london at around 1am Up at 0730 I still had to pack the tyres and tools, luckilly I always keep a set of six rims tyred and ready to be sacrificed at any given time so i just had to throw them in and fuel up. It turned out to be a good day at the pod and the weather cleared . . I must say i was a bit dissapointed the drift track was so small (but happy there was at a drift track) but none the less a good chance to practice on some tighter lines and techniques . . just not as spectacular as the usual pod set up. It was nice to meet everyone I did and those i took out for passenger rides . . u just had to come over and ask! Damn i love my car! It was too short lived tho in the end . . We had an 8pm train from dover . . that was never going to happen lol! but we put the loud pedal down and got on one at 2130 ! And i kept it down all the way back to maastricht eventually at 2am!, that was a lot of hard supra driving for one day and just makes you love these cars more and more . . .I wouldnt of wanted anything else for the ride! Next year I wanna see more people giving it a go in their supras, they love it and drift so good out the box! And il make more of an effort to help get more people involved next year im all in in to help organinse and make it easier to give passenger rides etc -
This is going to be a pretty awsome drift supra . .looking forward to some some tripple supra drift action at pod!

ok my inital problem is brake MC seal failiur some nicks out of the pistons (looks like they were cut on the output holes inside the MC bore) wierd as this only occured after i wound back the pistons in my rear calipers. initial research into dual MC set up: supra brake pedal ratio = 3:1 non servo assisted ideal ratio 5.5-6.5 to 1 there is space to fit a bias box to the existing servo but i dont think it will seal properly with the movement (as you can brak the seal with a tiny deflection by hand) removing the servo and using the existing pedals -plenty of space but again incorect pedal ratio, i think there is space to redrill the current brake pedal for as 5.7 ratio (move the linkage 5cm up) due to the angle of the curent cylinder (its tilted downwards) making it more level would allow a more aceptable ratio (may not be enough stroke on it ?) or just rebuild or replace my own MC or a reverse floor mounted pedal box? (space for that) ..................................................... So more reading and calculating . . seems moving the MC clevis up 5cm (achieving a 5.7 ratio) and using a dual Mc set up with like a .75 and .625 bores should be not much harder than the current effort required on the brakes (If anyone has real world experience please comment . . ) then i found this : pricy but aparently requires no modification to fit ( how can this be so?) http://www.compbrake.co.uk/Bias-Pedal-Boxes/Floor-Mounted/Toyota-Supra-Hyd-Clutch-cockpit-fit/prod_587.html looks like the one ryan tried? that was an OBP one but like to be the same unit
