thanks for all the "nice" comments guys..... hopefully someone might want it as their 2nd car, or for the missus, or something!?!? pics will be coming up, I took some the other day but shot them in RAW mode and my transfer software is playing up and so I dont think I'll be allowed to post up 2.3mb pics!!
-
I'll be down too in the BMW (it's OK, I'll park it far far away as not to embarress myself) and I'll bring my camera gear with me for a few piccies.

Righty, I'm still on the lookout for my first Supra, looking to spend between 5 and 6k, but most of the funds will come from the sale of my current car, a 318iS coupe.... now comes the question, take a seat ladies and gentlemen...... Is there anyone interested in doing a p/x plus some cash?!?! Its a 1998 S-reg 318iS 70k on the clock Full service history (either BMW or specialist) Tax Feb 2007 MOT Aug 2006 Full black leather A/C BMW 6-stack CD changer in the boot E/W 10 spoke alloys (rear tyres about 8 months old, fronts about 2 months) Met Paint (cant remember the exact colour name) Very well cared for and garaged during the night. If you are interested or want more info/pics then give me a shout... or if you want to all point and laugh at me then well you can do that too!!

I've had the misfortune of actually flying on the deathcruiser, whole flight I was looking very anxious and listening out for some funny noises, not good!! If you dont me asking, who you working for now?
-
Key rist!!! You must have been around for a fair bit if you've got cover on the old DC10....... Just messing, honest!
-
okies.... there is a small show in a couple of weeks or there is this..... http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/server/show/conEvent.880 or there are plenty of empty weekends where we could all go down ourselves and make some noise...
-
Yeah, I'm all up for that... it's been a little while since I've been there... some of us at BA went up and helped out repairing the Avro Vulcan there, it's a priveledge to actually sit in one, its pretty, well, erm, snug!! Then we got the Merlin running for the Spitfire MKII, now thats a proper noise from an engine!! Do you think if we asked nicely enough we could borrow their runway for maybe an hour or two..... Get a list in the go and I'll have a look at the Duxford webby to see if there are any interesting dates

I'm currently working for rolls-royce in derby but hopefully returning back to the motherland of glasgow... how about yourself?
-
I'm trying my best to make it 5.... need to find the right supra and sell my BMW.... any takers!? What are we all? Personally, I'm a B2 and A license holder, with no approvals, yet....

I remember once I took a friend on holiday and she was a nervous flyer... I said to her "don't worry, as being an aircraft engineer and part-time "Maverick" pilot, if anything happened, I'm pretty sure I could handle it" So we took off and the first slightest bit of turbulance i nearly jumped out of my seat screaming "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!" My friend went green and burst into tears I sat there peeing myself with laughter... her face was a picture.... cruel, but v v funny.... As Skaeley said, its a bit weird when you know something aint quite right.... time to put your head between you knees and kiss your arse goodnight!!
-
Skaeley, you a flight sim engineer? When I was at BA I used to go down every week or so during the night for a few flights.... managed to land a 747-400 at the old Ki Tac airport with only a single engine, zero visibility so I was IR landing, with a large windshear presence.... well, when I say land, I stressed the fuselage to 2.2G and blew 13 out of 16 main wheels and maybe had a slight engine scrape too.... but I got her on the deck and managed to stop her.... its good fun!!
-
Yeah, I use a wide range of filters including a Hoya ProV Circular Polarising, hoya ND grad 120, 121, 121M etc and an R72 infrared filter, but that hasn't been out the box yet.... I'm lacking the time (and charisma) at the mo to get some new shots, if anyone can think of a topic I'll get the shots!!

Damn it wish my Nikon D70 worked like that!!! I've been photographing for about 2 years now, another one of my little expensive hobbies I've got my own website now and manging to sell a few piccies now and again. I'm hoping to come down to a meet with it and take lots of pics and hopefully get them posted up here... I've got a couple of telephoto lenses and a wide angle lens too so I can get some pretty interesting action shots... Take a look at http://adamcurrie.co.uk if you're interested... sorry for the shamless plug, ahem....

I'm still supra-less but hopefully not for long so I can be welcomed into the club with open arms (preferbly with pints of Guinness in them for me... ) Oh, and I'm Adam, but call me what you like
-
well the problem is I'm supposed to be buying a house at the mo... but the house cant put a smile on my face like a Supra can (neither will it send me to hell in a burning wreckage backwards..... but thats all part of the fun!) so thats where the money questions are coming into it. I think I have now adopted the "ahhh feck it, why not" attitude, I'm happy, the bank manager aint, so it's all good Just need to wait until I get back from my business trip next week and hopefully it will still be up for sale (fingers, toes, b:#&*!"s all crossed!! ) Oh, and as for being a BMW driver, I'm one of the rare breed that actually knows where the indicator stalk is and what function it actually performs, sadly I can't say the same for the rest of them...
-
what the hell is "indicate"?!?!

Evening boys and girls... After (another) lame day at work, imagine my happiness when I seen this.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=69448 Okies, this is it, after much looking, I think I've found my first Supra, I want it soooo badly But, my head is now ruling over my heart and I need your advice on costs... Firstly, insurance ( )... I'm 23 4 years no claims squeky clean licence single, no kids, engineer the car will be garaged (and for the moment in Nottingham... I know..... not ideal.....) with the additional spec on the car, what kinda price you reckon for insurance and any recommended brokers?!? Secondly, fuel... I'm doing about 150 miles a week... if I drove it like a nun ( ) how many miles for a full tank and how much to fill her up? Thirdly.... I've got a 1998 BMW 318iS coupe with 70k miles on her, full service history (either BMW or specialist), leather, air con, e/w, 6 cd changer, standard 10 spoke alloys, met paint, near showroom condition... what kinda price could I sell it for? (and no BMW jokes thank you... ) Cheers again for all your help guys, hopefully I can be a "proper" member of the club soon and not an imposter...

Haha, no thank god.... I'm originally from Glasgow, ahem

Fantasia Silver Thong..... oh er!!

Send the phone in a secure package with a recorded delivery and put a return address on the back incase it does not get delivered. I would also contact PayPal and ebay customer services quoting the item no and transaction no and they can trace the where abouts of the guy. Or, you could keep the money, keep the phone, and if he makes contact say to him you posted the item as per you stated on the listing then sell it to a mate for half what you were wanting...easy money!! ... he'll be covered by PayPal anyway... I'm a decent bloke, honest!!

Usually if its fecking expensive!!

I might even be a good boy and delay getting a Supra... but on 2nd thoughts.... If anyone is wanting professional pictures taken (either static or action shots) of their cars then please feel free to pm me and we can arrange something... my personal website is http://www.adamcurrie.co.uk (sorry for the shameless plug) and I'll hopefully be at more meets to get some shots of the action.
