  1. Hi, Back after a brief stint away but now feel the urge to get back into Supra territory. All models considered - budget up to £10k ish! Ta!
  2. Hi, during a recent heater matrix install, the fog light switch was lost! It was located below the stereo where there are now just 2 blanking plates and a hole with the 2 wires hanging out! Ive been trying to find a replacement but something that I presumed was simple is proving quite difficult! As there are 2 wires, I presume I just need a 2 pin unit. I had seen some quite cool "Supra" ones on ebay that had a fighter pilot type switch but they are for the mk3. Im not overly fussed about style but just want a switch that does the job and fits nicely in the hole.....anyone have any experience of where to get one?!! As always, help much appreciated!
  3. Cheers guys - the unit it as the mechanics at the mo but he is having trouble. Do you know if you need to remove the air con unit to get to the matrix? If so, will it need regassing? Thanks
  4. Hi there, I've taken my Supra in to have the heater matrix replaced and the mechanic has called saying that the air con unit has to be removed in order for him to get to the matrix and replace. He says that he would have to get someone in to remove the air con unit and re-gas which would cost a lot more. Having quickly scrolled through the matrix replacement guides on here and seen that it was too big a job for me, I cant remember seeing anything about factoring in the air con removal and re-gasing. Is there soemone with experience of this that can confirm if the air con needs to be removed and regassed or is there an alternative way? Help would be very much appreciated as im without car! Thanks all!
  5. Hi there, I have done a little research and having water in the passenger footwell as well as no heating is pretty set on to be a duff heater matrix. Ive yet to look at coolant levels, flush the matrix or check the rod behind the heater console. Do you think its worth me checking these things or is it a dead cert to be the matrix? If the matrix is bust, will flushing it just put more water in the footwell or even worse, over the rear of the console/ electrics? Cheers
  6. Hi mate - I will have it then.....will pm you! Cheers
  7. Hi mate, how much is carriage to Hants for the starter motor?
  8. Hi - anyone got any contact details for Graham as PM'd him but no reply. Cheers
  9. Really? The battery is only 8 months old and has a full charge?
  10. Thanks for the replies. I will do a little research and come back to you guys. Thanks
  11. Looks like I might give Graham a shout. I used to work for Honda and they usually do little bits and pieces for me but im unconvinced their "boys" are up to scratch. I also have a family friend out in Kingsclere but its a pain getting their and back.....I know, im lazy!
  12. Having had a look, I may be best to just change the whole thing but will have a look at your post now. Thanks
  13. Also, I think a little confusion.....I know mine isnt worth 5/6k. I was referring to the one for sale at 6k Thanks
  14. Cheers guys. The bloke hasn't come back to me so clearly isn't interested in moving things forward. I'm in no rush so will keep an eye out for some deals!
  15. So, regardless of fruit on head and hovering things....Le Mans is great?!
  16. Hi, need a starter motor and shocks as above. Car is having issues starting and im getting a familiar sound coming back that points me to it being a shock problem! Cheers
  17. Great - will look at posts on here ref refurb as have basic mechanics skills so "should be" ok!! Many thanks
  18. Hi, Im getting a little disillusioned by my current mechanic contacts and wondered if anyone could recommend a decent one in my area that I can trust? Thanks
  19. Hi, ie had a problem with my supra for a few months now where you turn the key and it clicks but the engine doesnt fire up. You might try another few times and then it starts as normal. Sometimes it will be in the middle of starting up and then fail so you have to try again. Ive noticed that it is less likely to do this if the car has been running i.e I stop to get petrol so turn off engine for 5 mins whilst paying then go back to the car and it starts no probs. Its basically when its been left overnight or left during the day when im at work. As im worried that this may get worse, would you know what part I need to replace? Thanks
  20. Cheers Steve. Kinda my thoughts. Its a nice car and a little different but at the end of the day its just an NA so thought 5k rather than 6k. At 6k I can get a lower mileage, younger 350Z. Hmmmm, guess I see if/ what the guy comes back with! Thanks
  21. Hi all, I have a black 93 N/A manual JZA80 which is pretty standard apart from upgraded alloys (17"). Mileage sits at 102k miles and I was toying with the idea of changing for an earlier Supra or (dare I say it) Nissan 350z. I've just seen a nice 3.0 SZ 1996 manual in electric blue, 54k miles, 19" alloys, veilside (prob not the real deal) at £6000. I've always been tempted by something a little different rather than performance so I know the arguments for getting a TT will be there. I just wondered if I could get some input on my cars value for p/x and whether £6k is a reasonable price? Cheers
  22. Hiya, not sure if im posting in this in the right area but ive been invited on a stag do at Le Mans this year. Has anyone been before as I hear its a party atmosphere and worth the trip?!
  23. Good point, may well be worth just paying out for the additional £30/40/50 and get a new one. Budz, let me know how you get on! Cheers
