  1. I'll come along to this, but I'll not be tracking the supe, I'll just spectate........or get passenger rides with people if thats ok?
  2. Hmm, I've never done that to my bike tyre. (R6). What am I doing wrong? I can lean the bike over pretty far, and have reached the point where it's tried to flick me off where the back has slipped out.
  3. I concur, lovely looking machine, love the wheels. But why is it half facelifted?
  4. Nice mate, that looks like a minter. I see a few of them at local meets but none as nice looking as yours. With regard to running a TT, insurance wise a TT is not much more than a N/A. I'd also suggest that if you do mainly motorway miles, and stay off boost, the TT returns excellent MPG........It's only when you go mad with the loud pedal that they tend to guzzle.
  5. You can call Steve Manley on 01865291300 who works in a parts dept for Toyota who sells parts to club members at a discount. He'll get them delivered to your door at no extra cost. Or, Paul Whiffin from Whifbitz, he can supply all parts at a good price though it's worth phoning them both up, as sometimes one is cheaper than the other.
  6. The wheels themselves are stunning, and they'll look fine on white. However, the offsets on the ones you're talking about are far too shy. They will look puny sitting back in the arches. IMHO, don't get them unless you're going to stick big spacers on. (not something I'd suggest).
  7. Sure no problem http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=199474
  8. My other half has just been saying how tired she is, so I might be able to get on it early. I had a go on the dantes inferno demo earlier......OMG!!, that's going to be game of the year 2010 for sure.!!
  9. The higher the offset number, the further 'in' the arch they will sit. the lower the number, the more they'll stick out.
  10. Update for this post seeing as she's finished.
  11. I don't think it's paint, its a full body wrap.
  12. If it's a 98, why does it not have the facelift dash?
  13. I always find I notice it more in mine in the wet, is this the difference for you too? Saying that, my current car doesn't do it as much as my old red one did, probably down to adjustable coilovers and reset geometry to suit the wheels.
  14. That guy must be smoking more than just 'hashish'. What a cock.
  15. I need to have three of mine out too, I've had one removed already after an abscess, and the opposing side has followed suit. Haven't got the money at the moment, but the random sharp pain attacks are something else. I thought I was going to pass out the other day after a coffee hit the spot
  16. Going great mate, the 6sp supra is a whole different game compared to the auto. Not that there's anything wrong with the auto, I loved my old one, but the driving feel is totally different, especially with the jump to BPU. Shame you weren't down a Bluewater the other night, I was looking forward to showing her off to you I was worried for ages that I'd not be able to make this one as nice as the red one, but from comments I've heard people making about her while oogling, seems that she ticks all the boxes.
  17. Sorry to see you're leaving after such a short time in the club. Hopefully you'll consider another supra if things change for you. Good luck mate.
  18. It's that magic 30% though that matters. That's the time when the uncontrollable grinning starts You said yourself on the Brighton run that you didn't realise TT's were that quick when we were having some fun, and I'm being honest here, I wasn't even pushing her. ------------------------------ If you love that "pressed into the seat" feeling when accelerating, the TT does this in spades, especially when BPU'd. Do it mate, you won't regret it.
  19. Another yes from me, I've had two TT's and both of them have been brilliant. A lot will depend on whether you're averse to spending money on cars. I don't mind servicing my cars every 3 months and lavishing them with TLC. I imagine like a few other members on here, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and like my cars to be immaculate in every sense. With this approach and attitude towards the supra, I've found it does nothing but reward you with hours of driving fun and pleasure. Neglect them however, and I'd imagine like any mechanical object, they'll go wrong and bite you hard in the process. Make sure that the slate you start with, be it a blank one, or a lightly modded car. make sure it's a good one. Reciepts, history, and the current owners enthusiasm for the car will show whether it's a good one. Due to these cars being relatively cheap now, some have had the misfortune of falling into the wrong hands, and have been abused. As a result will be nothing but greif. To summarise then, if you're willing to put the effort in for the general upkeep and don't skimp on looking after it, the car will be a joy to own. Make sure the car you buy is a nice example to start with.
  20. Have you got CCTV.? If so, set the stills up on here.
  21. Hmmm, I would have suggested toyodiy as a source of information for all parts, but I've read recently that it's down. I suggest you PM Paul Whiffin who sells hybrids. He'll have an answer to all your questions.
