  1. I'd say mike wins. The sheep is clearly alive, no one said anything about being a picture.
  2. Thanks for the offer mate, I'm gonna give it a try myself first . Once I've made a complete mess of things and made it worse, I'll give them to you to sort
  3. Sorry mate, I never meant that to sound rude. Good luck with the new car, she looks
  4. As of tomorrow, Nev has to pick another pic if we fail with the sheep challenge.
  5. Nice, my engine looks pretty clean in that shot . Shame the cam cover, fuse box and other bit is sprayed gold though.
  6. Can I ask why you sold the red Na and bought another one?
  7. can't make tonight, I'm on late shifts
  8. BT will say they can offer 20mb connections, but I've yet to see anyone on their service actually get it.
  9. Go to http://www.speedtest.net and post your results here with your connection speed.
  10. I'm sure the ad says it has RLTC fitted. This is probably why the crappy stock trc system has see fit to be binned.
  11. The only reason I'm with virgin, is down to money really. They have the best broadband service by far, so getting HD TV with them and the phone line saves me about £40 per month. If I get the TV service from Sky and the phone from BT, it costs too much IMO.
  12. I'll try and get to as many of these as possible, doing shift work though means I'll probably miss a few.
  13. Still sounds like the stat. The thermostat holds the water in the engine until it gets to temperature, then it releases it to the rad where it gets cooled to be circulated back into the engine. If the stat is stuck, it doesn't release the hot water from the engine so your heater matrix is full of cold water. Once the stat opens, it allows the hot water out of the engine, into the rad and your heater matrix, hence why it blows hot air when you see your engine temp go down. HTH.
  14. Happy birthday mate, what presents did you get for the supe then ?
  15. I can see how UK cars used to be sought after so much, mainly due to their spec and easily traceable history, but I've seen a few minger UK cars of late, and the fact that they've been in this country their whole lives would make me worry more about rot and rust due to our crappy weather and salt. If your biggest concern is getting cheap insurance, I'd suggest you need to think about maybe bugeting more for your insurance and broadening your horizons. IMO, your money is better spent on getting a late model jap car from a trader like jurgen.
  16. Am I on someones ignore list ?
  17. Sounds like the ignitor mate. Try one of the breakers on here, Keron or Jezz. I've also heard the aristo/soarers use the same part so you can use theirs too if needed. I've heard the part is about £300 for toyota, so I'd get one from a breakers first. Did you try and jump start the car by any chance.?
  18. I recently changed my home phone line supplier over to virgin along with their HDTV package and broadband. Their service has been pretty good with only slight teething issues on the broadband side of things, but these issues were eventually rectified. 2 weeks ago however my landline phone goes dead, no dial tone, no nothing. I'm not hugely bothered as I use my mobile 99% of the time, but the wife uses the home phone to talk to her mates/mum/sister for hours on end at weekends, sometimes after having spent all day with them shopping or 'doing lunch'. Anyhoo, she started nagging me recently to do something about it so I phoned virgin today. I told them that about two weeks ago, I noticed the big green exchange box at the end of the road has the doors open on it, and it's been open ever since, no doubt kids have been messing with it and have yanked the wires out. They were pleased with the fact I had told them about it and would send an engineer out to sort it. Fine, all good I think, job done. Then, the guy on the phone says "If you're not home when the engineer calls, you'll be charged a callout fee". Hang on mate, I don't live in the green box at the end of the road, why does he need me there, and why would you charge me for it?. He goes on to say, well he has to test your line after the repairs. I reply, well, you know my home phone number, how about you phone it, if it rings, then it's working. No sir, we need you there.......Unbelievable, I'm not taking a day off work for it, if they bill me for it, I'll go mental. *rant over*
  19. I just Lol'd at Fitz's comment in this thread. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=206033 "Wrap up warm, its freezing out there" , then he turns up in a shirt.
  20. I always tell my wife I've bought new stuff to replace something that's broken. She thinks Supras are really unreliable
  21. Don't be too concerned about the mileage mate, an abused car with 50k on the clock will not be anywhere near as nice as a well cared for example with 120k on the clock. These cars were designed as motorway GT cruisers, so big mileages are not an issue for the supra. There are members on here with over 200k, and if I remember right, I'm sure I've read that someone has gone over the 300k on the same engine with no mechanical failures whatsoever. Just get the best example you can, from where I'm sitting, Jimbob1's car meets all your criteria, you'll have the solace that the car has been owned by a club member, which is about the best history you can get.
  22. I've got to be part of this thread, it's full of win Doubtful I can find any sheep round my way, if I'd have seen this sooner, I could have had the cop car one in seconds. *next to a live sheep*
