  1. I have ahad a PM off one member suggesting somewhere, albeit a bit far out. My problem is weighing up whether putting the CAT back in and then putting the DECAT back in, will cost more than a new MOT test somewhere.
  2. 17mm I don't want to damage the decat pipe. I'm gonna get the MOT guy to do it, much to my annoyance.
  3. Have you bought it for the 360, or are you sticking with the PC version?
  4. So are you going to buy it on Friday then ?
  5. Thats the problem though, there's not even enough room for a ring spanner. All my stuff is snap on Mate, if I knew one, I'd be going there. The one I took it too was supposed to be BPU freindly, but he went all legit on me when I got there.
  6. The problem is getting something onto the bolts in order to get enough purchase without rounding them off. That was my only 17mm open end spanner. I have slim non impact sockets, but even they won't go on.
  7. Some of you may be aware that my car failed it's MOT the emissions. So I took the car away to put the second CAT in. I've just found out that my second decat rear 2 bolts are too big. They are 17" nut and bolt which have no gap between the side of the bolt/nut and the actual pipe. I've just done this to a spanner trying to get the buggers off. Now I'm stuck
  8. No need to apologise matey
  9. Burning oil is not white smoke, it's blue. White smoke is antifreeze, or simple condensation. How have you been driving the car for that 600 miles.? Lots of boosting, or just pootling about.?
  10. Blimey, the majority of 6sp's I see for sale end up going overseas.
  11. Yeah, I think that split hose is your culprit. It's not uncommon for them to split, I caught my last supra starting to split and I had to go to toyota for replacement hoses. I couldn't find a generic hose with the same interior diameter to replace them with. I'd replace the one above it too while you're at it.
  12. I would get underneath the car and have a poke around, check for anything obvious like G/box oil leaks. Then I'd check the G/box oil (this is not a case of just checking the dipstick). I'd drain out the existing G/box oil, and check the contents of the oil for any metal filings or obvious damage. I also think the drain plug is magnetic on one side, so check that for any bits of swarf which would be a sign of damage inside the box. Also look at the oil itself and see what colour it is. IIRC it should be bright red. Then put some fresh oil in there. To check the level, get the car up to operating temperature, then, with your foot on the brake, go through reverse, drive, 2,1. Then back up through to park again. It may take a while to select some gears while the oil works its way around the box, then after 3 to 4 cycles, with the engine still running and the G/box in N, get out and check the oil level on the dipstick. After you've got some new oil in there, see how things go.
  13. Not mine mate, I have both CATS removed. It seems odd that they even bothered testing it, especially after I pointed to the second CAT sitting in the boot, it was obviously going to fail
  14. Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised that all the other tests passed without issue. While underneath it, the tester asked me if I actually drive it anywhere There's no minor warnings to worry about and everything was tip top underneath, no play in any bushes, no leaks, brakes all good......supra all good. Just this pain in the ass CAT to put back in. I might have a go at doing it in my garage. The only thing stopping me is that the car is so low, that I can't get my trolly jack underneath it
  15. Keron will have a few I'd imagine.
  16. I got to the test station late so they didn't have a chance to fit my second CAT, so no surprise that it failed on emissions.......it also failed on no front plate, apparently, it stuffed on top of the dash behind the window is not good enough I thought I might be able to sweet talk them round to passing it using a donor car, but nope, they wanted it done all legit. I've got to take it back in on Wednesday to have the CAT fitted in order to pass. I'll stick the front plate on with double sided tape, then hope it doesn't accidentally fall off as I drive away afterwards
  17. Looks ok, but like others have said, that wing has to go. It's also clearly bending the aerial in one of the pics so it may need a new aerial at some point.
  18. The suitably epic launch trailer..... http://www.gametrailers.com/video/launch-trailer-mass-effect/61043 Mega hyped for this one
