  1. I thought stem seals only smoke at startup.
  2. They're smoking when he's pulling away probably due to the residual smoke from the initial stop. His description of pulling to a stop then seeing plumes of smoke go past is turbo seals all over. Also when he revs at a standstill and lifts off he gets smoke, that's from the vacuum created while the revs are dropping, then the positive isle pressure pushes the smoke out.
  3. I'll put money on you not lasting 2 years without one..........I didn't.
  4. sounds like it mate, have you had them reconditioned before then?
  5. The benefits are built in fuel cut, so no need for a seperate fuel cut defender. There is very little concrete info on them, but from what I've read (I've got one in my BPU), the rev limit is slightly raised, and the mapping has been made slightly more aggressive for a performance increase. They are perfect for BPU cars as you need no other ancillary components bolted to the ECU to make it run. Make sure you only use good fuel in with them, as they are obviously mapped for high octane stuff. Performance differences are minimal on the rolling road, but apparently the car feels faster than an equivalent tune car without the mines side by side.
  6. My mate did this last year, he had a right hoot. Wait until you get to some of the seedier parts of Europe . I'd love to do something like this.
  7. When you used to arm the badly wired alarm, did the indicators flash?
  8. I think the NA and the TT auto gearbox is the same. Speak to keron, no doubt he'll have a few in.
  9. the ones from the official ridox site say they are FRP, so I suppose it could be. Like stonkin said, a stamp on the inside will give it away.
  10. is it fibreglass with no carbon lip on the front?
  11. Haha, don't worry, as soon as I have swapped the tyres over, I'll get some pics on here.

    hellooo

speak to Keron on here, he'll be able to help with things like looms etc etc. This 500bhp you're after, there's no need for a forged/built engine end with that power figure. I'd say the stock setup is capable of handling that power. Check out JamieP's car, or Chingy's Do-Luck car, both of them have over 500bhp on stock internals. Save your money and use the stcok motor. Build it if you manage to blow it up.
  18. hmmm, my 5zigen is ridiculously loud, if it wasn't a weekend toy, I'd have changed it for sure. It has no baffles in at all, 3.5" straight through with no cats.

Easy, depending on how big your wallet is The 2jz gte is good for 350 - 400bhp on a budget of around 1k. Click on bpu for all the info.
  20. I've heard of TT engines frying the ignitor when bump starting causing it to not start. Not sure if it's the same on an NA. Pull the king lead off the dizzy and see if you have a spark. The ignitor pack is on the passenger side strut turret on the TT, as I said, not too sure about the NA.
  21. Oh my.....I need that bonnet in my life.! Love it mate, you're going to raise the bar for sure with this car
