  1. Well done matey, there'll be no stopping you when that new lump goes in
  2. YEEEEHAAA. I was waiting for a good match up against his tubby. This one I gotta see
  3. Cool mate. I see you're in Wales. Shipping this thing would probably be a silly idea. If you want it, I'm going to supra pod and you can have it there.
  4. If you haven't bought it already, or can take it back, I have a crash bar you can have for free mate.
  5. Go out for a blat for half an hour, you'll have changed your mind by the time you come back.
  6. The bubbling paintwork, was it on the bonnet by any chance? There is a known issue with this shape mustang where the two metal types used to contruct the bonnet when new intefere and cause what I think is called galvanic corrosion. Ford sorted it after a few years with cars still in the states, but obviously cars exported are not covered under the warranty. My bonnet is spotless, but I'm changing it anyway.
  7. Cheers dude, You've hit the nail on the head for me really. Don't get me wrong, I loved the supra (hence why I had two), but I just fancied something a bit more lavish. The supra never got caned, raced, tracked (rained off supra pod). Yet I had all the coilover suspension, BPU with over 400bhp and never really used it for what it excelled at. I couldn't get over speed bumps, the suspension was rock hard, I couldn't park it anywhere for fear of chavvy jealous types (thought that may still be the case with the stang). The Stang however, is a big lazy V8 which looks the part, sounds the part, and is rare enough to turn heads down a high street. All that without knocking my fillings out, and the ability to float over speed bumps I was originally planning on getting a vette, but current financial times prevented me from it. Possibly in the future though when they come down a bit.
  8. Like the supra before it, this is just a weekend toy. So the left hooker bit doesn't really bother me. It's actually a little more to insure than a BPU supra, but I think that's down to the value of the car.
  9. The LHD thing took some getting used to today. I had to pull round a stationary truck at one point which got a bit hairy. The other thing was coming across the dartford toll, I had to climb over into the passenger seat to pay
  10. 0-60 is just over 5 seconds. It's a 4.6ltr V8
  11. It doesn't have leaf springs........ It has a live rear axle with springs and shocks. http://image.mustangmonthly.com/f/16321673+w750+st0/mump_0403_05_z+2005_ford_mustang_gt+rear_axle.jpg
  12. Can't say this feels cheap at all. There are several trim levels, this one being the highest. The cheapest has cloth seats and a plastic grey dash, nothing like my aluminuim look one Here's the cheap one http://www.styleautosales.com/styleautosales.com/UK_based_Cars_for_Sale/Pages/2005_Mustang_GT_files/Media/P1000234/P1000234.jpg?disposition=download Here's mine.
  13. She's not ready for the strip mate, unless you've got a spare NA you want me to run against Maybe one day I'll get her supercharged, then I'll give you a run.
  14. Are you saying Im dumb, or that I've totally redeemed myself ?
  15. I know she's not much at the moment, but I have plans..... Imagine this, in black http://www.mustangmotorsport.com.au/images/07_models/eleanor/eleanor_conv_01.jpg
  16. Hmm, I don't think so. On stock suspension, it's very very soft. (which is why the handling is shocking )
  17. I'm going for the SLP loudmouth
  18. Some of you will think I'm mad for doing this, but I love it Just picked up this 05 plate Mustang GT for 15K. It has full history with only 18000 miles on the clock.......it's mint. It's totally stock at the moment, but that'll change soon enough. I drove all the way down from Derbyshire to London with the roof down today......awesome It goes plenty fast, with an awesome V8 soundtrack. Obviously I had to pull into a petrol station during the journey, and the amount of looks it got (especially from birds) was unbelievable.
  19. Replied, still for sale at present.
  20. Really, there are that many freindly MOT stations?
  21. Sorry to hear that mate, hope everythings ok.
  22. That looks the absolute dogs mate. With the standard of supra getting so high on these forums, you have to go some to stand out. And yours certainly does that matey. Epic effort dude, I love it.
  23. I have this left over from the sale of my car. It was meant to go with the sale, but I forgot to put it in the car when he drove off in it. Might sound a tad harsh selling it, but he drove off with my IPOD in the car which I did state was not for sale with it, and he's not got back to me. £50 collected.
