  1. That turbo is bloomin mahoosive!! Legendary mate.
  2. That video is now in the favourites.........for later
  3. That's a lovely looking car....very nice mate.
  4. 1800 euros EACH!! So unless your housings are cracked, it seems bonkers even if the seals do fail earlier in refurbed turbos......you could refurb them twice over and still have change. We digress though, I think the point here is that Toyota are about to lower support for arguably their best flagship car ever made. It's probably just the turbos to start with......but what's next on the list.?
  5. Whilst I agree with you Chris on all your points stated, where you mention steel internals being technically inferior. You may have posted previously why they are inferior in the past, but can you elaborate quickly why you state they are inferior. Is it down to the lag I hear people talking about?. Having just had my turbos done with all new steel internals, I can't say I've noticed any difference lag wise. I thought the plus side of having steel internals was that they were stronger, with less chance of catastrophic failure at higher boost. The other reason reconditioning turbos was more appealing to me than buying new, was the price. New ceramics tubbies for Jspecs come in at around 2k for the pair, then you have fitting on top. Reconditioning with steel internals, seals etc etc costs half that. (obviously if your housings are cracked then recnditioning is out of the question). As for Toyota being an arse and stopping parts supply, do you think an online petition will help.? I'm sure we could get a fair amount of signatures from the various clubs.
  6. Most of the members from the Bluewater meets will probably come to this. Jimojameso, have you messaged that lot?
  7. You say that like I disagree with modifying................have you seen my car ?
  8. and a carbon front lip spoiler ................ mmmmmm
  9. Thing is though mate, is that your car is near stock. These events are all about tuners and modifiers. If the event was the equivalent of a concourse show where it's all about purists and not modifiers, your car would more than likely get the blonde
  10. I'll message TJP, I want to see the yellow supe now she's followed our advice Chris
  11. 1. Jimojameso 2. Mwilkinson 3. Scooter 4. JamieP 5. Tony B (badboy) 6. Pistonbroke
  12. Well done on the award mate Need to get a TT lump in there now She'll know if she earths the battery live with that spanner in the first pic.
  13. Nice one J, hows the competition then?, is there anything getting close?
  14. they are reverse el-glo. you can get them that only go to 180mph if thats what you want. You can get them from the group buys that go on here regularly. They change colour too, they switch to green if you prefer.
  15. Enough numbers for you? Look better than stock IMHO.
  16. I'll definitely be attending this years event and making another pistonbroke production video like the 2007 one. Though this time round I really want to push the boat out with production values, so as per any big hollywood release......here's the trailer My other intention for this trailer is to make people aware of the event and a reminder for members to make sure they have the day booked in their calendars. Youtube is still processing the HD stream, so you'll have to make do with the SD one for now......enjoy &hl=en_US&fs=1&">&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"> Link for the 720p version -
  17. ahhhaaa, now I see Edit to add, by no means does it detract from your car, she's a stunning machine in arguably the best colour (though a bit slower than silver ). Good luck with the sale mate, well worth the money that.
  18. Really?, I commented in your thread before the car landed in the country that the front end was wrong http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=189280&page=2
