  1. One of you sods has outbid me. I still think these with the subframes are worth it.
  2. I checked Capital seating and they have the foam inserts but no seats. Does that include subframes too.?
  3. Well boys, I know neither of you are winning for sure, Best you pull your finger out or these are mine
  4. Are you paying for the retrim for me then mate, that's very kind of you
  5. I think he has a supra owning stalker Good for you mate.
  6. Adamr. First of all, welcome to the club mate. Can I ask though how old you are?, you say you're starting an apprenticeship which would indicate to me you're quite young. Have you looked at insurance for the supra TT, let alone an 800bhp monster single.? You have 20K saved for buying and fettling. but once you're on apprentice wages, I'm not so sure you'll be able to keep up with the cost required to simply maintain one of these cars. The supra is a great car, and they are reliable. But that doesn't make them cheap to run. Proper care and attention needs to be paid in order to stay on top of it. I spend £150 - £200 per month on bits for my car just to keep her tip top. That doesn't include modifying. I'm not going out of my way to put you off, but I'd not want to see you in over your head with a car you've thrown a lot of money at, to end up with it half finished and not able to sell it.
  7. Afraid not mate. Not sure you'd get away with stretching a tyre that much.
  8. I prefer the Recaros to the cobras, especially when you sit in them. The cobras are good for racing, but everyday I couldn't live with them.
  9. I've been sitting trying to picture them in the car......I've decided they'll look quite nice. If not, I'll retrim them. If I win of course
  10. Mate in work had one for a while, nice car, shocking interior.
  11. You blew the diff?! Have you been going sideways a lot?
  12. Really?, when you consider stock leather seats sell for £400, I thought these'd be worth a bit more.
  13. His buy it now price is £400. I thought these'd be worth much much more. ?
  14. I do love the vette, and no doubt on test driving one, I'll be forced to swallow the higher tax BS when I fall in love with it.
  15. As above, they don't have a leg to stand on. the papers would run for miles too with a company that wouldn't allow an employee to cut his ill mothers garden on a lunch break.
  16. It might be just me, but whenever I start my car I watch for the lights coming on with ignition, then going off once running. How long has it been since you serviced the car?. To lose that amount of oil in a short space of time would mean the leak would be pretty catastrophic.
  17. Were usually there chattering away until after 10pm. So you'll be fine.
  18. I'm in work tomorrow. I'm gonna try and get the weekend off as it looks like a nice one. If I manage to wangle it, I'll be there
  19. Just answered my own question in case anyone is interested. I've phoned an american importers in Central London, and they've confirmed that if the car is never sold over here, then its £185 a year tax Not bad for a 6.2ltr V8
  20. has anyone ever heard of the DVLA TC11 tax. Apparently, the SVA doesn't include an emmisions test, so only goes on the equivalent UK car for tax banding. The C6 vette is band M (£435) as it was sold through dealers over here. I suppose something like the Camaro would have to have a TC11 as there's no equivalent UK car which would mean the sub £200 per year tax?
  21. How has that worked then?
  22. Cheers Johnny, I might have to bung a lengthy PM Jevansios way asking his opinions of the 996TT. I know RMS failures can be catastrophic on the 996 engines costing major if they fail, though after repaired, the part fitted was modified to prevent future issues, I'd imagine older 996's will have had this work done already.
  23. The 996 turbos can be had for just over 20k, so in 3 years, they'll be more or less there. Surely the balls out turbo porka is the one to have. I'm pretty sure my BPU supra would serve the non turbo carrera its ass.(maybe not in the corners )
