  1. Holy hell dude....have you made a will?. If not, can you make sure my names in it somewhere Nitrous with those rears.........sub 10 for sure!
  2. Don't forget it's also on BBC HD at 2000hrs too.
  3. Erm, I think I owned both of you at the start of the A2
  4. So basically, you've bought two supras, one built one, and one in all it's component parts. With all the old stuff you take off you'll be able to build another car at this rate.
  5. You'll need a pulley puller tool to get the old one off.
  6. What, in his front mount intercooler ?
  7. I've had my turbos overhauled by CR turbos......does that mean mine could have 600hp, or a 1000 with a bit more money? I don't get it really, something is definitely off. There's no point building the block up for what is essentially a BPU supra. There's nothing wrong with the stock engine internals for what he's going to be running. As for a RR print of 523hp, no way mate. Not a chance, not on stock turbos.
  8. I take it it's an auto, I'm pretty sure you can lock them by jamming the flywheel with something.
  9. I'll be there on the R6......supra is a bit poorly.
  10. All the gaskets on the turbo feeds have been replaced. But I just went out to check anyway, they're all bone dry up there. All the oil is only down around the sump so I'm pretty sure it's that gasket for the drains to the sump. Thanks for the part number Andy Right, now why isn't Mr whiffen answering his phone.?
  11. All the gaskets up at the turbos have been changed when the turbos were reconditioned recently. But this drain pipe was left in situ and I'm guessing it may have been disturbed during the removal refitting process. It's the only gasket that is still original to do with the turbos. Any chance anyone knows a part number for it?, toyodiy has no exploded diagrams anymore so its just a list of part numbers with the word gasket next to it Edit, oh and mine have 12mm nuts fitted
  12. Ok, update. I went out and had another look before taking it for a test drive, and I noticed a drip of oil coming from the bigger pipe that runs down from turbo 1 to the sump. I thought it may have been something I missed on the first wipe down, but it appears to confirm that it's the location of the leak. I had a blonde moment during this next video asking whether it's a coolant pipe.....sorry about that. Would you chaps be kind enough to confirm what I've found before I go part number hunting.?
  13. Nope no drip at 6 o'clock, just a general coating. I've been out and cleaned off the bolt, there's definitely washers on both sides of the bolt. I'm going to drop the car down and take it for a blast. I'll update with the results.
  14. Can I direct your attention to this thread.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=221912
  15. In typical pistonbroke fashion, I've done a quick HD vid for the tech bods on here. Hopefully you can shed some light on where this oil leak might be coming from. Wait a while and youtube will process it in HD.
  16. Well, its not the switch. it's dry as a bone up there. I'm uploading a video for the techies on here to help diagnose. I'll post in the tech section when done. As far as I can see, it's one of two things, FMS, or turbo feed pipe.
  17. Yup, but luckily she's easy enough to see coming
  18. Took the supra out tonight for a little run, and noticed a patch of oil in my garage. I initially put it down to a mark left after a filter change, (it's impossible to not make a mess when doing it ) Yet curiosity got the better of me when I got to the pub and I had a gander underneath, sure enough, I saw a drop of oil fall from the passenger side of the sump...... I lifted the bonnet, and half the pub came out to have a butchers at a proper engine , and one guy was nice enough to lend me his pocket LED torch. I looked from the top and everything looked bone dry. I checked the filter and I couldn't feel any oil underneath it, it was also done up tight enough for me to be unable to move it at all from the top (the engine was also hotter than the sun which made it a little more difficult ). From the top, I could see down to the bottom of the block towards the rear, and there is no sign of oil anywhere. Pipes, wires and other bits prevented me from seeing any other area clearly. What I'm thinking now, is it's either the sump, or the upper sump bit. Are these known to fail like this all of a sudden, I've seen supras with a mist like oil leak from them, but never this bad. I know my upper sump was leaking as in the mist type about a month ago, but to suddenly start leaking this bad seems unlikely to me. The other thing (I'm hoping it is) is the oil pressure switch, this is apparently in the block, on the passenger side behind the air con compressor, which would probably make oil drip from where I can see it now. Both cam cover seals were replaced about 2 months ago, so I know it's not them, does anyone else have any suggestions on where I should start looking tomorrow? Oh, and I need you all to cross your fingers for me that this is a cheap fix, otherwise I'll be selling my suprapod run ticket
  19. What did this end up being Chris?
  20. He only asked for the turbos, so I assumed that's all he was after, the manifolds are different as you know. Is it not worth reconditioning the ones you have already.?
  21. What do you want UK turbos for? Do you realise they won't fit a Jspec?
