  1. It's not just the offset, it's the wheels design.
  2. Can one of you fine chaps confirm this boss will fit an airbag equipped car. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=224680
  3. Is there a physical difference between airbag and non airbag boss kits?
  4. Rob, youll have to take me out in the rex. Ive never been in one.
  5. Just to clarify this for people. Chris has said these turbos worked fine when first fitted, which is true yes, to an extent. Chris phoned me shortley after getting them on to ask me about a noise they were making, and whether or not it was normal. I went out with him in the car and could hear they were louder than normal twins. I put this down to the fact they were oversized suspected stage 2 or 3 hybrids. My hybrids sound different to stock twins, but not overly so. Just the spool noise is slightly louder, Chris's turbos were very loud, and I suspect this wasn't down to a characteristic, but more of a sign of imminent failure. I went round there again this evening to see the aftermath, of both Chris's turbos, and his sanity. Having separated the turbos, there is a huge crack in the casing, and obvious signs of a failed repair with a weld line along the crack. Turbos in this condition should never be refurbed, it's futile to expect them to have any durability left with such damage. Someone at some point will have been aware of this crack, be it the seller of the turbos, or turbo technics. My advice was to get the seller to take up the claim with turbo technics himself, as he's the one that bought them originally, and the sale of goods contract is between them, not Chris. Chris in my eyes, is a completely innocent party in all this, and shouldn't be expected to bear the brunt of the failure. Chris has demonstrated time and time again that he is more than capable of fitting turbos, his workmanship is not in question. There is a thread on here, with pics, of my car on his drive undergoing the swap procedure. I also find the timing of the failure a hard pill to swallow, I suspect (And that's all this is, suspicion), that the seller had these turbos on his car, the noise started, so he removed them and sold them to Chris. I don't like to think that a member on here would intentionally rip another member off, but the fact these turbos failed so quickly raises some red flags IMO. The hardest thing for me, is seeing this kind of thing happen to someone I class as more than a fellow member, but as a mate. Hence the long post. Either way, I hope your refurbed turbos from CR get done ASAP, the sonner you're back behind the wheel with the BPU+ grin, the better If there's anything else you need dude, don't hesitate to give me a shout.
  6. Fine.......me and the old beasty.
  7. PM it to me dude so as not to spoil it for the rest.
  8. Again, you stop at what seems to be a pivotal point You should sell this to a TV network for a series, the suspense is winding me up.
  9. Excellent suggestions there mate. The witchcraft one was one I was thinking before posting this thread. Hand that feeds is a cracking track, nice one Queens of the stone age also do loads of tracks great for driving. That Ash track, that brings back memories , that's defo on the shortlist Why has the swear filter blanked the suggestion? The main problem with this track, is that its been used loads before in Supra vids. I agree it is a good track though.
  10. It might just be me, and I know this is off topic (but it's a free bump for ya), is the GTO really that much bigger than the supra?, it looks huge in the last pic.
  11. Sweet dude, I think they're gonna look awesome under the hood Can I come and get them?
  12. I'm about to start putting my video together for the suprapod 2k10 production, getting the titles and intro section done and out the way, so I can concentrate on the footage later. So, I need suggestions from you guys and gals for what song you'd like. This video will be longer than my last one and will no doubt split into two parts, which means I'll probably squeeze 3 or 4 songs in there. The last one I made in 2007 used the nickleback tune as suggested by someone on here, and it went down pretty well. I'll add a poll too for what music type is preferred, so I can gauge what genre the majority on here prefer.
  13. While I agree that looks like over spray in the wheel arch, that blue on the light trim could be coloured wax/polish that you can get. It's only 4.5k.............still a bargain.
  14. To add to this, I've just bought a 160cm tripod and a wide angle lense for the camera I want this video to be as professional as possible.
  15. I have a v160 pre facelift 6sp diff.......£12000, and you get a free supra attached to it
  16. Then that'll encourage them to join the club then
  17. Looks pretty good. Blitz wheels are nice, just looks like it needs some TLC. New headlamps, fix the damaged bumper, or go back to stock. And remove the trial stickers, nothing on that car is trial.
  18. Looks like a nice example. Honest engine (not steam cleaned), original wheels, big brakes. That could be a bargain if its what it says it is. Anyone near Bucks could go and take a look for Benkie? If you find any down SE London area mate, PM me and I'll have a gander for you.
  19. I'd just contact Jurgen, though his auction sites are great to browse through. If you're looking for specifics, I find it impossible. He'll be able to get one for sure, probably at a good price too. Especially considering he's just sold a whole low mileage (7000miles IIRC) engine with all ancillaries with turbos for £1600 :blink
  20. Now posted on the pistonheads forums along with the payment link, so hopefully we'll get some diverse machines turn up on the day
  21. Lets hope you're faster down the strip than you are at getting out of bed
  22. http://whifbitzperformancetuning.co.uk/toyota-supra-fuel-components-sard-p-1469.html
  23. that's a lot of car for 4.5k, looks like a nice example
