  1. Right, I had supraturbochris in the car the other evening, and he witnessed how I managed to get the 2nd turbo in 1st. If when you pull away from and standstill, you mash the pedal right down to the carpet, like mine, you wouldn't get the second tubby. However, put the throttle two thirds down until about 4500rpm, then mash it. Your second turbo will come on song for sure
  2. Now that looks like a very nice place to sit. Have a virtual pat on the back from me dude, top effort
  3. That's what the Fairmile is for. I'm uploading a video which I've knocked up in 5 minutes for you lot. Don't expect big things, it took me literally half an hour.
  4. I've been there mate, in the exact position you are in. People tell you "oh, hybrids don't last very long". BS, there are plenty of people that have had hybrids running now, and have had them running for a good few years. People tell you "there's not enough improvement over stock to justify hybrids". Well what if it's not improvement so much that you want, what if it's to repair a problem, like leaky seals?. "I'd get a new set of stock turbos", really?!?!, 2 grand last time I looked, which is considerably more than hybrids, with no performance gain, and ceramic blades again. People on here who hate hybrids, are going on what they've read, and have made up there own opinions on them. They don't seem to understand that new turbos are way too expensive, the single turbo route even more so. And second hand stock turbos are a big unknown.
  5. I plan on getting quite tipsy on that evening. In fact, I plan to start drinking after my runs down the strip are done I don't think playing football will be on the cards, standing up is more than likely going to be the biggest challenge...........and Tracy, no taking advantage of me Again.....if a ball hits my car, god help you
  6. If a football hits my car............god help you.
  7. There's nothing wrong with hybrids mate. They are stronger, so will hold bpu levels easier than the stockers. Though, yes they spool later, it's one of the trade offs. I've got hybrids dude, providing the turbos are in good enough nick before the refurb, they'll come out great.
  8. Someones pulling your leg mate.
  9. They wont spool quicker, theyll come on song about 3-400 rpm later.
  10. Was the battery disconnected during the work?, if so, the settings may have gone back to default.
  11. Who's doing the work on the turbos matey? Thing to look for before going for a refurb, is make sure the housings aren't cracked. If the housings are damaged, there's no point in spending up to 1k on refurbing them. I can recommend CR turbos through experience.
  12. It's a bit out of my league now mate, normal boost controller issues I might me able to shed some light on, but yours is a tad more complicated than mine Good luck with it dude, for what it's worth, it does sound like a setup issue rather than a physical problem.
  13. Boost controllers have a setting for internal and external wastgates, this is true. What boost controller is it?
  14. Chris is no stranger to supras. So if hes checked it over. It must be worth 3 k.
  15. Bring it to bluewater on friday and we'll suggest how you spend your money.
  16. Something tells me he's bitten off more than he can chew there
  17. Mine kept making stock boost after a rebuild, turned out that the 2 boost controller pipes were the wrong way around.
  18. Id rather have a vette all day long.
  19. Looks pretty smart dude, check the temp gauge in the photo though, it's creeping above what they normally do. http://cdn.images.pistonheads.com/aimg/1921/1921055-7.jpg What's the plan with it then mate?, is he doing it up at all?
