Its easier to change the plugs on an FTO compared to a supra. The inlet manifold has to come off, and that's it, very much like the NA supra. The non mivec gr engine is more reliable than the mivec. There loads on the Mivecs letting go, but very little on the non. The GR model also has hydraulic tappets, so no need to adjust, whereas the mivec needs them fettling every so often to shut them up. The only reliability issue I had with mine, was due to a previous owner steam cleaning the engine bay, forcing water into one of the big multiplugs on the gearbox, this messed the gearchange up and was stuck in learn mode. I found the fault, replaced the loom, job done. The only other thing is as Abs says, they're noisy compared to other cars, especially tyre noise. Oh, your biggest problem will be Mitsi themselves......they're useless.

Don't dismiss the GR v6 model. The difference is minimal in performance. The FTO is a sound car, mine was lovely to drive and the tip box was brilliant.
  3. It has Brembos already, surely that's enough?
  4. To my dads 350Z They are mahoosive wheels, but really look the part on the Z
  5. I'm not a fan of spacers, sell the wheels and buy a set that fit.
  6. Possibly mate, you might be lucky. I know UK's wouldn't fit. Supra T had them wheels (before he smashed them up) on his single turbo supe, and I think he may have after market bigger brakes. Might be worth checking before fitting yours.
  7. Wish I could say the same about the farce I had with mine
  8. It wouldn't surprise me if they were -15 -20.
  9. Excellent hard hitting video. Some of the adverts that have been lifted are from proper TV ads in different countries. I believe the one with the boy getting pinned against the wall is a Scottish one, the other ads I've seen are New Zealand/Australian ones. Why England doesn't use the same hard hitting message, I don't know. I've linked the youtube site to an email and sent it to everyone in my address book.
  10. Nope, sorry mate, can't help with the wheel make/type. However, just so you know, 350z fitment offset wise is way off from the supra. 350z's have much much more aggressive offsets than the supra. So wheels that fit the arches nice like that on the Z, will never fit the supra (without over fenders.)
  11. You're gonna need new wheels then, those brakes aren't going under the Anteras Looks awesome Mark, that car deserved the 15 large you've put into it. It was a stunning base to start with, it was absolutley immaculate when I had it. I'm chuffed to bits to see it ended up in the hands of a real enthusiast. Though I have to admit I was a little concerned when you got hold of it after seeing what you did to your last supra
  12. Blimey, don't expect me to run against you at supra pod 2k10.5 or 2k11. You're in a different league now
  13. Another update. After suggesting a full refund and informing rarerims that I'll be buying them from the US from a supplier called Wheeldude. They said that they'd buy them from him on my behalf. Fair enough, they also convicned me not to go for the polished finish again, saying that they stand a good chance of falling apart like the GTLM's did. This was a week ago, I phoned them a couple of days ago and the wheels are apparently with the courier. Which means I'll probbaly get my new wheels just in time for the winter salty roads to have a go at them
  14. Seems strange looking at my old car now. Not much of it is left I don't remember it having an LSD when I had it, I take it you've changed it?
  15. The link that Nevins posted was to Monkton in Witshire. I'm not sure thats the same one your old boy is talking about.
  16. I know there's one around my way thats all filled in, where abouts are you in kent, it might be the same one. 18. surely if that was polished then laquered properly, you'd not have a problem.
  19. if you swap the injector out, does the problem cylinder change?
  20. You say you've done a compression check, but have you done a leakdown test? It may be that one of your valves is knackered.
  21. I'd do some simple methodical checks first. Change the plug in number 3 to a different cylinder and see if the problem chamber changes. If not, you know it's not the plug. Then I'd swap the coil packs around to see if one of your coils is weak.
  22. Compassion should be used where it's warranted. I have many run ins with drug users and they constantly portray themselves as 'victims', and that the whole world owes them a favour, and they need to be spoon fed every aspect of their lives. They're to drug addled to work, yet not to ill to go out committing crime. Lock them up for 6-12 months for some serious cold turkey I say.
