  1. Come on Raven, for such an active forum member, I don't think I've seen your car once.
  2. I'l probably still go mate (gets me away from the wife ).
  3. My condolences to you and your family Kris, very sad news RIP Alan.
  4. yes, I got a sucking whooshing noise an hour after stopped, so the tank is still pressurised without leaks. Should hopefully have some VSV's coming my way..........funnily enough, I've owned them before as they're from my old car
  5. TTC mode is savage, no problems in TTC, so it's either iacv or egbr.
  6. If the wastgates are sticking, then putting it in TTC mode would still produce the problem. TTC mode eliminates the VSV's. This is what I'll be trying next.
  7. whoops, my bad, number 10 is connected, the boost controller connects to the thing in front of it. I'll try the top one first and see how it goes, then go from there.
  8. Number 10 is not connected on mine as I have a boost controller. The fact that they open when throttle is re-applied suggests it's not the wastegates. I'll see if I can get a donor one and try it.
  9. Nice one scott, in the following pic, are you talking about number 7
  10. It's happened three times now, the first I put down to a hiccup in the system, but it's done it a further two times under the same circumstances so I thought I'd ask here for any pointers. When travelling down the road at a steady pace off boost, if I drop a gear and give it full throttle, I get no boost at all......nothing. If I then take my foot off the accelerator and re-apply, it boosts fully as it should. I've checked all the hoses, they are fine (they've all been replaced). I've just cleaned up the VSV's with some carb cleaner, but not re-tested yet, is there anything else I should look at. Having searched a bit, I've come across this pressure tank thingy, I understand it's under the inlet manifold towards the rear of the engine? Could this be something I should look at?
  11. take a few pics of the boss if you can mate.
  12. Thats not right dude, sounds to me like the clutch is binding on, hence why you're having trouble getting into gear. Your release bearning is not disengaging from the pressure plate and it's whirring constantly (soon to be knacked). It's my guess anyway.
  13. Well, I've had a go. You can still see the blob of touch up despite polishing like mad.
  14. Yeah, will do bud. I've decided to try one last time, though this time I've painted it so it overlaps the damaged area onto the good paint. Then tomorrow morning I'll try rubbing it down to see what the finish is like. If I'm not satisfied, I'll have to fork out for a proper repair. Makes my blood boil that this is all down to a feckin impatient idiot
  15. Some twat overtook me using the hard shoulder the other day and flicked a huge stone up which hit my passenger wing causing a nice chip in the immaculate paintwork. I've bought the right touch up paint from halfrauds and have had several goes at it, but I can't get it looking any good. Does anyone have any advice on how to get a decent finish with touch up paint?

    Howdy!

Don't worry yourself about the mileage too much. If the car has done 50k but been neglected and battered, it'll be shite, compared to a high mileage loved example. The engines in supras are very strong, and will go on for miles if cared for.
  17. Mercedes? If you mean the Lexus, yes it did. Autobox as well, in park. Once the rear wheels are off the ground, it makes no difference though.
  18. Aftermarket clutches mated to lighweight flywheels will make considerably more noise mate, get a video clip up if you can.
  19. This guy who I snapped yesterday in Bromley. Story goes that he lost it big style obviously while giving it too much stick. The car has then collided with a parked mini cooper on the opposite side of the road, the Ferrari has then continiued on to hit a Lexus GS300 which was hit with such force that it got pushed up onto a Peugeot 206 GTI parked behind it, the GTI has then been pushed back causing further damage to two more cars. People wonder why our insurance has been going up?
  20. I'm back in work tomorrow mate, so I can see if I can book the day off. If I get the day off, I'm there.
  21. I was outside gassing when it went in, sorry dude
