  1. I'm on my second plasma now, my first was a second generation 'hot' plasma which had slight screen burn after 10 hour gaming sessions, but the image was quickly wiped by watching somthing else for a minute or so. My newer one is now 3 years old and has no image retention issues at all. I think it was only a problem on very early plasmas, I'd be very surprised if any newer models suffered with the issue.
  2. Mega mega fast, but looks very unstable
  3. There's nothing wrong with the blacks on it. Certainly better than the current cheap big stuff.
  4. Not 55" mate. Once you go over the 50" mark, prices rocket. How big is the 3dTV for a couple hundred more? I know what you're saying about depreciation, this TV was over 3k when new. However, comparing it to current cheaper sets such as the big sammys or LG, this set still outperforms them. I know you can get smaller sets with higher spec than this, but to most blokes, size matters . Trust me, this is one hell of a TV for £700, if I didn't already have the same set myself, I'd be having it. My dad is desperate to get his new 60" Sony, so make a sensible offer, he may well accept it. He doesn't need the money, he just wants the set gone to make room for his big new one.
  5. don't ask me, I've bolloxed my recent wheel purchase and made a right hash of it The rota range generally have great caliper clearance, whereas ultralites are not so good. Get onto Paul @ whifbitz, he can sort you out. He has a wide range of wheel options for the supra and has knowledge of what fits and what doesn't. Don't buy Linea Corse wheels........they don't fit
  6. If you removed the electronic swivel stand (yes, the TV can swivel via the remote.) I reckon you could lie it flat in the back of the supe with the seat down. Edit, oh I see, I've put this thread in the wrong section. Mods, please move
  7. If it's been there for 5 years with no ill effect, I'm saying no. However, you've been run down with a particularly nasty bout of whatever ailment it was (I saw your other thread). I'm guessing, especially this time of year, chest infections and colds are rife, all three members of my household have a chest infection, all my mates do, all their kids do. I reckon you've kicked whatever it was you had before, but your immune system has taken a beating, so I reckon you've simply contracted something else.
  8. It's three years old. No idea about hours used, I'll check. It's my dads, he only uses it to watch films, he rarely watches TV (spends most of his time in the pub) There is no degradation at all on the screen, and no dead pixels.
  9. Plasma mate.......oh wait, whats this? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=231767
  10. Wow, properly gutted for you guys........bad times
  11. Dwayne, any news on the clunk noise then with the new mount fitted?

    3d tv

I'm still waiting for the 'no glasses' 3DTV's to hit the market before I commit. Like Rog, I have a 55" plasma that I'd be reluctant to downsize for the sake of 3D.
  13. This is Jax, my Dalmation/Rottweiler cross.
  14. Haha, no way dude, I've started........so I'll finish. These wheels clearly weren't meant for the supra, but I'll make em fit somehow
  15. Yet again my luck with the wheels has struck again. You can see from the pic that the center cap doesn't fit, it's fouling with the hub nut behind it Hopefully your 5mm spacers will pull it out enough to make them fit.

  17. Toyota don't do ball joints, only whole arms. You can measure the rubber gaiter though and get a generic one to fit..
  18. Apparently, this sorts the gear selection 'thunk' you get with the 6sp.
  19. Yes mate, if you're in the area, drop em round........I'll obviously be indoors
  20. With your measurements, the tyre wall will sit 15mm further out than yours, meaning it should be right in line with the arch. I may need to raise the suspension though. Next question, have you got the C spanners for the HSD's?, if so, can I borrow them
