  1. Welcome back dude. When you sell this one, can you please ask permission before using one of my videos in your gumtree advert.
  2. Whoever decided, "I know which wheels will look awesome on our Ferrari........", needs to be shot, and beaten at dawn with a stick.
  3. Just got off the phone to Chris, my lips are sealed.......................
  4. It was only on the crash bar, so it wasn't in any way an issue, it just looks terrible.
  5. Are you going to drive to the pod with them on like you did with the big welds? Look awesome though JP
  6. I owned one prior to my current supra. Mine was fine, but there are issues to watch for. The UK spec ones are obviously exposed to road salt more so than imports, so they tend to go rotten. Honda thought it'd be a good idea to fit rubber lips on the arch lips, these only serve to hold crap between the rubber and the metal, causing patches of rust to appear. I had to remove all the rubber strips, treat the rust and respray, I ended up removing the rear end and sorting out all the rust that had accumulated behind the bumper and trims. My supra on the flip side, although older, had no rust at all. They also suffer fron water leaks into the boot. you can't see it on first inspection because the bottom of the boot floor carpet is rubberised which masks the leak. Lifting the carpet revealed a stagnant pool in the well. This is sorted by removing the vent and siliconing the area around it. The clipers are also renowned for sticking, which 3 of the 4 of mine did within weeks of getting the car. EBC carried out a full refurb for £400 for all 4 Someone has already mentioned the sticking suspension bolts, this is one of the most crucial things to ask for and check when buying. The geo needs setting on the s2000 every 12 months, if not, the car becomes undrivable. The way to keep it good is to have the bolts copperslipped when setting the geo. If this has never been done, expect to fork out for all new arms, which is major spondoolage. The engines are great, but they're not faultless. They are known to consume serious amounts of oil in varying quantities. It's not so much a problem if you keep an eye on the level, but letting one run dry is obviously catastrophic. The engines are generally known to last around 130k before they die. The roof mechanism can knock like a bitch, replacing the latches with hardtop latches (yes they work with the soft top) sorts the problem. Here's my old one once finished.
  7. Sorry I missed it guys, I started work at 0600 yesterday, then didn't finish until 2100, I was knacked
  8. Deevo or Blox forged jobbies are both open. Coloured too to your preference. http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=176_226&osCsid=b8f61bd1eeea50da752e6391c8a3cf62
  9. Of all the people to reply to this thread, I knew you'd be one of them GLWS sale, looks like a proper nice example.
  10. Ok, covered is taking the pee, but secure parking must be available surely?
  11. Is there anyway we can verify parking at the stopover points. ? I'm a stickler when it comes to parking the supra anywhere. So secure parking, prefferably covered would be a huge bonus and piece of mind. Oh, and car wash facilities would also be nice, can't have the supe looking minging when we're acting as UK supe ambassadors
  12. I know you said you'd post when you knew more, and I hate to seem like a pest, but I wondered if there was any movement yet with the payout? Whoops, should've clicked you link above. Sorry Steve.
  13. Awesome kit I like this guys comment

  15. My cousin who some of you may have met at last years supra pod is building a new drift slag with a few of his mates. He's after a 5sp box of any variation. If you have one lying about or know someone that does, give me a shout.

  17. I've always had problems with PC's waking from sleep mode irrespective of OS. If you go into the power managment options and turn off the ECO settings, it won't sleep. You can then customize the option to just let the moniter sleep after an hour or so, leaving the rest of the PC running.
  18. I don't finish work until midnight, if you guys are still on then, I'll join in......show you how it's done.
  19. I don't think so matey, it has the foam wrapping around it that the 60" had on it.
  20. Woohaa there newbie, people are trying to help you, I suggest you wind your neck in on the abuse. To answer your question before you either get yourself banned, or this thread gets deleted. Your first problem is dry solder joints on the light display on the top right section of the dash, it's quite a common problem. Remove the top section of the dash cluster, 4 or 5 screws I think, unplug the multiplugs on either side. Then use a soldering iron to re-seat the solder joins on the small circuit boards. When plugged back in, you'll hopefully see that they now light up when the ignition is turned on. Now re-run the diagnostics and check for codes.
