  1. QUICK, class one, do me a favour and delete this thread before it gets sucked down into the ridiculing depths of extreme front mount intercoolers and the like...................
  2. Please could you leave your membership cards on your dashes so I can add your name to the up and coming supra vid that I'll be compiling on the night. So when your car gets its own little showcase, it'll say your clubname at the start, like your own little claim to fame when it hits the web. You'll also be in the credits at the end :D
  3. cool, I'll let you know the details of where were meeting and times closer to the departure date
  4. Does that mean my mint 96 TT is worth about 12K ?
  5. Surely you would put a reserve on a car like that?
  6. yup, the dash is a big turn off. Too much blue.
  7. another red one round here, thats three then.
  8. Lui, could you add supra surj to the list if he's not already on it, him and I are convoying up from the Kent area if anyone wants to join in
  9. no one likes to hear that, sorry for you matey, hope you get it sorted soon.
  10. If they brought it out to look like that, then its all good. By the time they go through all the safety rubbish where the shape of the car has to be asthetically (sp) safe for when you run down pedestrians, it'll come out looking like a civic.
  11. So, are only the people on the list getting in the car park, or is it first come, first park I will turn up a lot earlier if it means getting in to a car park rather than out on the street, my car is in the condition its in, purely because I'm as picky as I am.
  12. I've never been up there before, is the parking actually in a car park or is it out on the street ? I hate parking my car out on the street.
  13. Thing that bothers me though, is that I've had worn drop links before but never experienced these symptoms.
  14. If I manage to get the car fixed before this event, I'll be bringing the HD video camera.
  15. On route into work this morning everything seemed fine, pulled onto the A2 and accelerated up to about 60, during acceleration I got a wobbliing sensation through the steering wheel, then the car seemed to pull to one side all of a sudden, it felt like I had a puncture, or that feeling when the car tramlines on uneven road surfaces, but I've never noticed it doing it before on this stretch of road. so I pulled over and checked the tires. The tires were all fine and could'nt work out what the problem was. So, I continued on my journey, it never did it after that but I managed to replicate the slight steering wheel wobble again a couple of times at higher speeds. When I got into work I had a quick nosey about underneath and the only thing I could find was badly worn front droplinks, the rubber has detereorated terribly on one of them and when I touched it, all this brown rusty gunk that used to be grease fell out, like a little turd . Once I got the car home this evening I jacked up the front and checked everything I could see, the roll bar bushes seem fine and there is no play in them, the top and bottom ball joints seem fine, the shocks are fine, the only thing I could see was the knackered droplinks. So while I was there, I decided to change the oil and filter, I felt bad for my baby, that I'd let her down in some way, so I made it up to her with some nice new Motul Chrono oil So my question is this, could worn droplinks cause the symptoms I described earlier, or have I missed something ?
  16. I look at loans as saving backwards, you can save and save and save for years, then eventually buy what you want, but by then its out of date and old. Or, get a loan and enjoy the benefit of what you want while you save backwards
  17. your right about the 360 and the PS3 supporting 1080p, but none of the games are coded in it, all are 720p. There is not enough processing power in either of them to render at 1920x1080. The only 1080p aspect is the blue ray films and HDDVD. But like I said, according to avforums, 1080p is not discernibly different to the naked eye from 720p unless your viewing it on a screen the is mahooossive.
  18. I'm also partial to a decent film every now and then, I'm especially looking forward to the new transformers film http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/transformers_hd.html But HD gaming has taken over my life, gears of was is not the same on a small standard definition screen.
  19. I take it your running a projector then?
