  1. I wouldn't get 20's, but thats just because I couldn't afford the rubber
  2. The argument for saving money on top mounts and using stock originals is negated really, purely by the fact that my top mounts are coming up for 11 years old and I'm sure they're not as efficient as they were when new, so, may as well repalce them with new tein ones all already attached to the new shocks making fitting a much easier process. Its seems mad to spend all that money on nice shiney new adjustables and bolting them up too knackered 10 year old top mounts.
  3. I put a set of pillow ball top mounts on my FTO and they clicked when going over uneven surfaces, I was told that this is a characteristic of the top mounts, is this the case with tein jobbies ? I currently have the Bilstein shocks on my car that came standard, the ride at the moment is quite 'crashy', I think this is due to them being worn, how much harsher is the ride in comparison with the set I have at the moment?
  4. I'm looking into getting a set of these soon, anyone got any opinions on them or actually have any experience, please let me know.
  5. This has been vexxing me recently too, where to go from the supra?, I've decided to hold out for a Monaro VXR next me thinks
  6. to give you an idea, I took some pics of mine just prior to going TRD. Here with the new TRD
  7. nice one, thanks for your help. JamesRZ, when you ran it with one cat, which one did you still have in, was it the front or the rear one?
  8. As you can see with my other thread about rattling when cold, my thoughts are leaning towards an exhaust rattle on one of the joints between the rear cat and the start of the HKS Silent, I say this becasue its the most corroded part of the exhaust, the rest of it looks new with no corrosion at all, saying that, its not hanging off or anything, there is just slight corrosion where the batman gasket is between the two pipes. I hypothesis this becasue I'm thinking there is a rattle when cold until the metal expands closing the offending part. My question is, if I put just a rear decat pipe on, providing me with a new seal between my exhaust and the rear of the old rear cat, will I have to use a restrictor ring to keep the boost down ?, bearing in mind it'll still have the front cat in. I have no interest in upping power due to the fact that my car is in daily use and want to keep reliability at its highest and certainly don't want to jeopardise my delicate ceramic jap turbo's.
  9. Come on you lot, can't believe you've got no opinions on this what with all your combined knowledge
  10. Last time I was up there, some tosser in a van hit my car then fooked off, I hope it was the same van......bastard. Nice vids jamie.
  11. Jumped in my car this afternoon, started her up, put her into D and I hear a faint rattle from underneath the car. Then stopped, engaged N and the rattle stopped. Opened the door to see if I could hear it but nothing. Engaged reverse with foot on brake and the rattle returns, if I hold my foot on the brake and raise the revs slightly the rattle gets worse with engine revs. Its a mettalicy rattle much like a heat shield. thing that worries me though is that it stops when the car is warmed up. Could this still be a heat sheild on the exhaust if it only does it when cold? I'm just worried it could be something to do with the torque convertor, though I have had the fluid changed about a month ago. All levels are fine.
  12. Turtle wax, all the way. No photoshopping here
  13. Excellent, I look forward to seeing how loud it is without the cats in
  14. After the last guy failed to show up after organising a sale, I'm putting it up for offers again. One stock spoiler, in red, mint.
  15. My supe is sweet mate, (touches wood), I''ve decided to knock the front bumper idea on the head, and I'll stick with the standard one, I have however decided to save for some tein adjustables with top mounts. I love the lowered look with stock front and OEM skirts, (Like yours)
  16. you've had a new rack fitted, you need a full alignment doing, derek only does tracking, toe in and out, he doesn't do camber castor checks. Also, check you tyre pressures, I've cured enough driving problems on mates cars just by putting the correct pressure in the tyres.
  17. Thats brilliant, I would have laughed so much though if windows decided to do one of its random crashes half way through, with its error message reports
  18. I used to have a ridgeback
  19. Good price, if you gave an auto you'll need a seperate autobox fluid cooler + fan, just so you know. As the stock rad comes with it all as one part. MKIV store used to do some very good autorads but alas, no more.
  20. I can't believe it was Derek, was it him or his mechanic?
  21. Nice one, should make the missus happy when I suprise her and put it in her car
