Right, I'm now well and truly confused. What 'buttons' aren't lighting up? when I say dial cluster, I mean the whole unit that holds the speedo, rev counter, and temp/fuel gauge. If you take it out and unplug it all, I doubt any of the lights will work as there is a huge break in the circuit unless its all plugged in. On the back of the unit, you'll see the floppy circuit board thing that all the dash lights plug into, this is the thing that has bad connections. Once you have it all plugged back in, turn the headlights on, check the buttons that control the direction of airflow from the heaters, this should light up when the lights are turned on, and be adjusted by the dimmer switch. get back to me once this is confimed to work or not. Edit --- Did the lights work prior to you installing el-glo dials ?

Do the lights on the center console work, the ones around the heater controls etc..? If they all work, it eliminates the switch and dimmer. Just seen you wrote, 'no dimming of daytime lights', thats because the dimmer has no effect unless the lights are on. Check the stupid plastic floppy circuit board on the back of the dial cluster, they are prone to bad connections on just about every car that has them fitted. I'm pretty sure the supe has one too, I replaced my dials ages ago and can't be sure if there is one.

Well, after driving her around today, its made quite a noticable difference, my suspension feels less crashy. Highly reccommended bit of cheap maintenance.

Damn it, I was looking at Ianc's old post with the torque settings, which are unclear and relate to upper arm torque settings to the subframe, not the subframe itself, it would appear you are quite correct Matt. Thx. I have changed the settings on the front first page so as not to let people go out and shear off bolts. I'll do tyhe 4 19's today as well, don't know how i missed them.

Rory, your problem, I'm certain, is your N/S engine mount. Common problem on the supe.

Decided to check my subframe bolts today as I've no record of having them done, I spoke to the guy who works on my car and he's never touched them, so jacked the car up, here are the bolts in question that need to be tightened to 125Nm's (ITS THE 2 BOLTS FACING DOWS TOWARDS THE CAMERA, THERE ARE 4 BOLTS IN TOTAL, TWO EITHER SIDE OF THE CAR, YOU'LL NEED A DEEP 17MM SOCKET TO TIGHTEN THEM ) As you can see from the condition of the car, its been very well maintained, its certainly not a dog. So I recommend you get out and check yours out before your engine falls out. I then decided to polish my headlights and they came out pretty good, got rid of most the yellowish, the rest of which is on the inside of the lense. Then, I fitted my chrome rad pipe with my new mikalor clamps after the original clamps let it leak, but the bugger still leaked, I think the blue parts of the hose are just crap and dont fit properly, so I'll be getting some samco stuff in the near future.

SMX suffix on number plate would suggest imported and registered in the south east area of London. My advice, stay well clear, car not specced obviously to whats been stated as shown in pics. Surrounded by chavs and some seriously huge numbers on the milage readout.
