  1. yeah fibreglass, It looks screwed on but possibly with some glue on the edges to mate it close to the bumper.
  2. I went back on the bike the following day to check it out. Big signs on each side of the road saying cameras not in use made me feel a whole lot better
  3. Cheers mate, they're only niggles that need doing. As you know from first hand experience, my standards are pretty high, so I'll get this one up to scratch eventually.
  4. I've driven cars with heavy duty sport clutches before, but nothing like this. I'm not going to be dragging or drifting the car so there is little point in me having a 6 puck on/off clutch. It just makes me look like a fool at junctions As for the rust, you can only see it when the boot is closed, through the gap between the boot lid and roof. I've got some plans for the bodywork though, So I'll see if I can get it sorted then.
  5. Cool, glad thats sorted. So, back on topic, who wants these wheels then
  6. I had no intention of slagging off anyone, someone asked what the issues were, so I mentioned them. You can ask Jezz later, as I told him on the phone when I ordered the new seatbelt. I'm not one for forum wars and slagging matches. Fraser is a top bloke, if I had an issue with the sale, don't you think I would have got back to him direct?, it's not as if he's hard to talk to, I distinctly remember our first conversation about the proposed swap was like a chat between two blokes who had been friends for years. I can see how things have been mis construed from some of my previous seperate comments, and for that I apologise. Fraser, I meant no wrong. Sure, I was a little shocked when I spotted the flapping wings this afternoon on cleaning it, but you have provided me with a reason as to why they are like that, and I'm subsequently provided with solace. I'll be selling the wheels and putting the car on stands, probably for up to six months while I get things done.
  7. Not juddering like this. The whole car vibrates violently causing all sorts of horrible noises from the drivetrain.
  8. It's not my first supra. I know what to look for, I just dropped the ball on this one. There are aspects of this car that really shine, as you can see from the list, it's all pretty niggly shit. I just want it sorted.
  9. This might sound mad, but I know how rare these wheels are. So around the 1K region.
  10. - Deep breath - Driver side seat belt not retracting and fraid (MOT failure) Clutch needs replacing ( seriously bad judder when warm ) Dash screws missing (so the top part is hanging off) Airbag light staying on Boot rubbers perished so it rattles like a bitch Hego sensor hanging off (it was just wrapped around decat pipe) Exhaust is in constant contact with rear subframe so it bangs about when the clutch judders Headlights need replacing as there are big gaps around lense (where its been refurbed) Rear bumper not secured underneath and is loose. Both front wings not secured at all underneath and flap about. Aerial not working and seized in the half up position. Missing clips and screws in just about every piece of trim rear fog light is one of the reverse lights with a red bulb, but it shows up pink (MOT fail) Skirt spat things are held on with cable ties. rust is starting to form between the boot lid and car body. Inside trim of rear bumper missing This is just the stuff I can remember finding after its first clean today. I dread to think what else I'd find underneath if I got it on a ramp.
  11. I do like the wheels. The car has some major issues though that need to be addressed, and I need the funds that selling the wheels will give me to get a few things sorted. I don't want to start a slanging match or argue about it as I feel as much to blame for not spotting the issues before I took the keys, I took the sellers word that the car was mint, when quite clearly, on closer inspection, it's not.
  12. I'll take them off if I get a chance later.
  13. I can't see anything on the inside of the wheel. I just know they fit. DAT - inter may know
  14. As seen here. there are a few marks on it, but nothing that a minor touch up won't sort. Offers please.
  15. 18" 265's on rear, 18" 235 on front. Not sure on the offsets, how would I find out?
  16. Trial Try zelda wheels. I'll let the pics do the talking...... These are allegedly rarer than a bag of rare things coming first in a being rare competition. Falken 452's on rear with load of tread left, Avons on front with loads of tread. The car is in desperate need of TLC so I need the wheels sold to fund some repair work. Offers please. EDIT - I need these sold, so the price is now £600 for them.
  17. Who is the guy with the red and white trial supra? I have something he may be interested in.
  18. Picked up DAT - inters car this afternoon from Manchester area and drove back down to London. My previous Supra experience is a stock TT auto, so jumping in a BPU 6sp would be interesting. F!*K me!!!!, I had noooooo idea what was in store. The power delivery is savage and unrelenting. God knows how fast you boys running big singles must be, but I could not believe how quick it is. I've been home now for over an hour and my heart beat is still in triple figures. My buddy sitting next too me fell asleep halfway through the journey, but I kept waking him up with my manic laughter everytime I pressed the loud pedal. Fraser told me the car has some sort of uprated clutch which I'm struggling with TBH. It judders like a bitch on pullaway, so much so I get loud embarrasing drive train chatter at every junction and traffic light. I think I'll be putting a stock clutch back in at some point in the near future. I've also got to get my head around the AEM boost control dial thingy. I've worked out there are 2 programs on it, A and B, or off. But I've no idea how to fettle and change stuff. On A, it's supposed to be 1.2 bar and program B is 0.9. I caught it peaking at 1.27 on program A so I've put it on B which keeps it in the safe zone, at least until I work out how to change program A so that it boosts a bit less. I also don't get the random flashing lights around the edge of the dial, it doesn't seem to correspond to anything. I'll be spending most of tomorrow cleaning her, I'll get some pics up when done.
  19. Picked up my supe today from up north, and may have been enjoying myself a little too much on approach to the bridge. I know there are average speed cameras on the gantries, but I'm not sure where the first camera is. Can anyone tell me where the first camera is on approach to the bridge?
  20. I'll be selling them to someone like you no doubt
