I've heard there is a company in the Midlands that does LS1 V8 conversions. the Corvette engine is one of the lightest engines you can buy, so although it may be heavier than the little rotary, I'd be willing to sacrifice some handling for a v8 soundtrack and reliability.

I don't think you can use standard silicone hose for PS, it has to be lined with polythemascksutbnkiodhjelite I'm in the same boat at the moment but my PS hoses are not standard as I have an aftermarket cooler. I found one place that does them in 9.5mm, but hopefully, with a bit of elbow grease, I'll be able to stretch them on.

Serious kudos to the brains that put it together. It must have taken some serious engineering skills to shoehorn it all in. I think so much stuff has been done with the supra over the years, you'd think that all lines of modding had been exhausted. I take my hat off to anyone that thinks outside the box, and is willing to put all that hard earned into something that hasn't been tried. It's like the member on here (who's name escapes me) who is supercharging his NA. He got a fair bit of negative comments for going down the S/C route, especially as the tried and tested turbo conversion is availble. I commend anyone who is willing to do things differently.

The thing is, put the same car and two different dynos on the same day and you'll probably get two different figures. Dyno figures and printouts are one thing, getting in the car and being blown away by a well tuned setup is another.

I bought the jeantech when my last PSU failed. I didn't have access to another PC so I had no other choice than to go to PC world. I bought the most expensive one they had which happened to be this firestarter model.

It was a 750w jeantech, 18 months old from PC world. I've now ordered some mega bad boy one that is more than capable of dealing with dual GPU's. The name however escapes me.

I was sitting at home on Saturday afternoon watching TV when I started to smell a burning smell. My initial thoughts was that my 18 month old son had been playing with the cooker. However, on walking into the kitchen, there was no smell. I went back into the living room and quickly traced the smell to my (expensive) desktop PC. The PC was turned off, but there was a funny fan noise coming from the PSU at the back, like the fan was spinning half speed. On touching the case, it was red hot, I reached over the back to remove the main kettle lead and burnt my arm on the case, it was that hot!. As I pulled the lead out, a huge spark followed by a flicker of fire shot out the vents at the back. I yanked all the wires out and managed to get the side of the case off. The PSU has all charred insides from fire damage. I count myself lucky that I was in when it happened. My biggest concern now is, what are the chances that the rest of the components in my PC have survived.? I've just installed an Nvidia 295GTX GPU less than a month ago !. I also have over 2 terabytes of saved data that I've accumulated over several years. There is no visible damage to anything else, it was like opening and oven though when I took the side off. I've ordered a new PSU which hopefully arrives today or tommorow. Fingers crossed the rest of my PC has survived.

Thought I'd bring this to everyones attention as I'm changing mine today due to the wear. These two hoses are the one that runs from the resevoir to the cooler, the other is from the other end of the cooler to the rack. Here is the extent of the wear on my MY96. I know people will say its just the outer coating that's cracked, and it's nothing to worry about. I however don't trust it so I'm replacing them.

You were right to mention it mate, these cars are group 20 for a reason. . Out of interest, if you want a tail happy car, take an early s2000 out for a spin (literaly ) Back on topic. Go and get a supra mate, whether it be an NA or a TT, Manual or auto. Makes no odds, just make sure it's a nice one. Half the fun of these cars is not the power, or what gearbox it has. It's the burbling cruise round town while watching all the rubber necking onlookers from the pavement. My favourite personal supra story was with my first red auto tt. The first week I had it, I pulled into a petrol station next to a pump where a guy was filling his DB7, there was two young lads looking around his car slack jawed at the magnificence of it. I've read this a few times recently. Don't want to go off topic, but I thought I'd quickly add this seeing as it's been mentioned again. I'm on my second TT, this one being a manual BPU++ TT. Neither of them have been particularly tail happy. Neither of them slid out without being obviously provoked into it. It leads me to believe you might want to get your geo checked. Especially if it slides out without any warning.

Yes, another one, sorry guys. Underneath, where the original front stone sheild used to be, the new front bumper has a kind of built in stone shield that is part of the bumper. Did you guys make up brackets in order to secure it to the bottom of the car?

Don't be sold by mileage mate, a well cared for high mileage supra will be much better than a low mileage battered uncared for one. Check out my garage. My old supra is in there, it's now on it's third member owner and think the mileage is probably well into the 90k by now. It still looks as nice as when I had it though, and no owner has had any grief with it to my knowledge.
