  1. Because the cars they copy, ferraris mainly, have mid mounted engines, much like the MR2's. I can't think of an exotic car you'd want to copy that has enough room up front to house an inline 6.
  2. I think the first ones are CCW wheels, forged alloys are a bit out of my price range mate. I'd love CCW's or HRE's, but they're major dollars.
  3. I've seen too many horror stories of the build quality of these wheels. I like the style, but couldn't live with paying ££££'s for wheels, then refurbing them within 4 months because the crappy laquer falls off. Having previously owned Rotas on my previous car, I know the quality of them is top notch. (despite what the yanks say).
  4. I have no problem cleaning wheels, I love spending hours and hours cleaning my car, so if it takes a bit longer to clean a certain style of wheel, no problem. EDIT, just to add, check out DamanC's garage for more stunning pics of BBS LM's
  5. hopefully mate, just got to finalize a few things, then we should be good to go.
  6. Adnanshah has a mines ECU for sale at the moment, perfect for BPU
  7. 199 silver Not really my taste, thanks anyway.
  8. JP, Just found this. http://www.morfed.net/wheel-offset-calculator/ If you set the old wheel setting at 9.5 width (most aftermarket rears added to supra seem to be this) with a generous 35 offset. Then set the new wheel on the rota settings of 10" with 43 offset. You get a total 2mm difference in outer edge retraction, so not a lot really. My car is also quite low on HSD's, so the Rota's may mean I won't have to cut the rear arches.
  9. I've been trying to find out what the offset is on the genuine BBS wheels are, no joy yet though.
  10. There are a couple of members on here that have the proper BBS LM on their supes, but they are all 18"from what I've seen, these being 19's I've always wondered what they would look like. I just found this though. They are genuine BBS LM's, but they are 19" like the rotas. http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/2697/dsc00074vi6.jpg Well that's me sold then
  11. Thanks guys, I kind of gathered that would be the wheel of choice. I just like some reassurance I'm making the right decision before I spend that amount of money.

  13. Where do you get the carbon ones from?
  14. holy crap. I take it you sold it to a dealer, hence the price you got for it?

  16. If it's leaking really bad, and you can't live with it. Is it worth removing the plug, then covering the thread with PTFE tape and re-fitting.?
  17. Just to help out anyone in the future who needs a transporter. I found this site. http://www.motormoves-uk.com You sign up and place your free advert stating what car and where is being taken from and to. Different transport companies then bid for your custom, you get to see their rep, much like ebay, along with confirming with them what type of transporter will be used.
  18. My car will hopefully be heading off to Dave (supraloopy) sometime in the near future for him to work his magic. I need to get the car trailered from SE London, Sidcup to his place in Westcliff on Sea. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced company that you know won't run off with my P+J. Obviously they have to be able to cater for Supras with a low front end.
