I have around the 2k mark for a new run about for the wife. So far, I have looked at the following 3 1.8 2001 Mondeo. 2.0 2000 Accord 1999 Lexus IS 200 The Mondeo and the Accord have around the 50 - 60 mile mark, full history and seem to be ni the average to good price bracket, whereas the Lexus varies wildly in price, you obviously pay more for a nicer one and at this budget, it's right at the bottom which is putting me off it. Does anyone have any thoughts on the above three, or suggest something else similar. cheers.

I thought you could just drop the subframe to get the sump off to do the work? Someone on here threw a price figure out there of £100 for the pump and £300 to fit it? Is this way off?

I doubt that mate, NA's weren't released in the UK.

You haven't had the injector changed yet. Do that and report back.

It's kind of a given that it's best practice to replace the pump. but I couldn't work out why you were still popping FMS's. Thanks for clearing it up though mate

No mate, I've just been reading on another thread about yet another catasrophic FMS failure. I was going to give advice on it and decided to do some searching (to make sure I wasn't just talking bollox) and came across this thread, but there was no conclusion. The FMS failure is a foible of the supra, I like to make sure I know as much about it as possible in case it does happen to me. My car has been off the road for about three months, I imagine that as soon as I get her back on the road (in the very near future I hope), that little things will start rearing their ugly heads. This being one of them. I'm glad to hear you got it all sorted in the end.

I used to have that game when I had a PS3. I agree it's an awesome game. Probably the most visceral racing game I've ever played. The sense of speed and realistic crashes are awesome.

Arcadey? You need to turn off the assists. No traction, no ABS, manual gears, no racing line. Then jump in a S tuned Supra and see how you get on

Pah, Forza 3 has loads of aftermarket tuneable add on bits. So everyone can fulfill that single dream With crash damage, fully rendered interiors and roll over physics. + it's out in October. Forza 3 FTW

I think chingy's car is also on stock internals. (I'm sure I read that in a magazine )

get the carbon one, then spray it.

I'm not sure I've seen a cam cover leak that bad before. Though, it's not too expensive to sort out so I'd start with that. (don't forget if you haven't already, replace the two connecting hoses between each cam covers.)

Absolutely gutted for you mate, she looked beautiful. The boxer is a great dog, brilliant personality. Always over the moon when they see you (even if you've only left the room for 10 minutes ) I feel for you matey, I really do. I don't think I've ever felt a more painful sadness than when I lost my first dog. The advice to get another one is sound, there is a dog out there that you can provide a perfect home too. Not only that, they are great at lifting your spirits during hard times. Don't think of a new dog as a replacement, think of them as a reminder of how much you love them.
