  1. I can't see Porsche dissapearing off the planet anytime soon. They'll be bought out, and it will seem on the face of it that nothing has changed. As for the Porsche slating going on. I agree on some points. Before I bought supra No'2, I flitted about between several cars. It was a toss up between the s2000 and the boxster S. The boxster is a better car, no doubt about it. But the owners club was filled with a bunch of turned up nose pretentiuos tossers who love the smell of their own sh1te. My first post was introducing myself and asking what peoples opinions were, with regard to what I can expect given my previous cars. I reeled a few off, Impreza, Supra TT, MR2 turbo.......... The very next reply was "it's people like you who bring the Porsche name down". That one single comment made me buy the s2000 instead. Drivers aside though, Porsches are probably the 'only' usable supercar marque. They're unrivaled when it comes to build quality, and the mileages they seem to get too says it all. They also hold there money more than most. If I had the money, I'd buy a fast Porsche tomorrow. (I just wouldn't join the owners club )
  2. Sorry to hear this mate, could have been worse though, I went to ace in my old supra, and some muppet smashed into it,then drove off!! I can't link the pictures as I'm in work, but the N/S front wing was stoved in, what made it worse (and more expensive) is my car was all blended. I'll never take my car to the ace cafe again.
  3. Been asked to update this, the bumper is sold. The side ducts are still available.
  4. Have I missed something, I thought Nic was just unwell, I didn't think he was gone forever.?!? Don't get me wrong, your logic is sound. If it ain't broke , don't fix it.
  5. So you replace all the bushes, but have to keep the shitty old ball joints? (unless you replace the arms.) Do new arms come with new bushes installed?
  6. I've got a surprise for everyone going on this
  7. fuck this, tried for ages, can't get more than 60. I need NOS.
  8. Really? Care to give me an outline of the basics of whats involved.?
  9. Oh my word, thats one for the bank......
  10. Out of interest, while you're here Heckler. How hard would it be to modify the rear LED strip, so that when you apply the brake, the LED strip progressivly lights up from the center, then when you release the brake, the strip progressively scrolls back to the center until they're all off?
  11. I keep meaning to look at the lights, but the stunning supra they're bolted too make me instantly forget why I'm looking at the pics in the first place Edit, forced myself to focus for a brief second, I like em, very smart.
  12. Dude, I've seen your work, no mere mortal should attempt such feats
  13. The more important question here, is how do you know they're not working when you're sitting in the car driving it ---------------------- To be more contructive though, yes, you'll need a new LED strip. I'd get one from a breakers. Or, you could do what I saw another supra owner do at a meet, and disconnect the ones that are working intermitantly, and mirror the pattern on the other side of the strip, so you have a strip with even gapped working LED's. I thought it looked quite smart, when I spoke to him about it, he said he did it because some of them were not working, so he bodged it to at least make it look good.
  14. Fingers crossed for the buyer that it doesn't turn out to be a complete POS.
  15. If it's just floppy bits of sticky paper that aren't pre formed, it'll be a sod to fit.
  16. Thats fine for carrying fuel/oil. Not is it's submersed in it though.
  17. To be fair, it's obviously some deluded (or blind) persons pride and joy, the engine looks quite clean. Take that front end off, remove the vinyls, remove that spoiler. Sell the tat to some other mug, put a stock front end on with lip and TRD spoiler, it might be quite a good deal.
  18. Well done that man great effort for a first post.
  19. CCW LM20's are some seriously sexy wheel. Someone needs to do a 1 piece more affordable copy of them Edit, slightly off topic, our american cousins always take stunning photos of their machines, the colours are always really vibrant, whereas ours comparitively always look dull. I hate British weather....
  20. Just when I thought I'd decided on my new wheels, you go and start a thread like this. Cheers, thanks alot
  21. Nice one fellas, I knew I could rely on you
  22. A bolt on supercharger kit for my mates 5,7 hemi 300c. He wants to be able to keep up with my BPU supra when it's back on the road. Can anyone suggest a kit or a good tuners that knows what they're doing with the HEMI V8. Cheers
