  1. I've been feeling let down too with top gear, their older stuff with the trip to america to buy a car for $1000 was hilarious, their antartic race against the dogs was brilliant, their first outing into making amphibious cars was excellent. This series though, has been a bit of a let down. Maybe their budget has been cut, or the writers that come up with ideas have changed.
  2. You said earlier it cut off after a few minutes, now it's a few seconds?
  3. Hmmm, The codes correspond to nothing I can find. Not the original codes or the VVTI ones. I can't find a mines error code list either. I thought though, that the mines ECU is just a standard ECU with an internal tweek, like piggyback chip, but it's inside, then they stick a plaque thing on it and flog it. So I wouldn't have thought the error code reading would be any different. But from reading through your list, and the things you have already tried. I would probably see if I could borrow a TPS from someone and do a quick swap to see if it makes a difference. I'm sure a knackered TPS would cause a lot, if not all the symptoms you have described. Apart from the smoke thing, but I suspect that's just valve stem seals and nothing too much to worry about if it's only little puffs of smoke.
  4. If the car has not run for ages and the battery has been changed, chances are the ECU has reset. A reset ECU takes time to re-learn values, and cutting out is not uncommon, especially if it's just sat there idling.
  5. Can you get a video of it. Or, jack the front of the car up and spin the wheels to see if there is any anomalies in the spinning, check for any grinding or irregularities. Check for excessive play, top to bottom and left to right.
  6. If you bring it back into the UK, good luck with Mitsubishi. They were less than helpful with the FTO before it got an official release.
  7. I've been on a sex ban for so long, I can't even remember why it was that I got banned in the first place. Thank god for the internet .....................
  8. Hello and welcome, my car originally came from torque GT. If my car is anything to go by, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
  9. That bit, I don't know either
  10. Print this out and sit in the car with it, you'll quickly suss it out. http://www.schnitzracing.com/manuals/AEMTBC.pdf
  11. This thread has made me think, why do we have to resort to making 'game rooms'. All my expensive home cinema stuff is obviously in the living room, which obviously makes it the place that I want to play games in. When I'm shooting American brat kids in the face over xbox live, I want to see the whites of their eyes in stunning HD on a huge plasma screen, moments before their dying screams echos in glorious clarity around the room. Why can't the wives retire to a 'soap room', kitted out with tea making facilities and an iron, so they can watch their crappy programs, and do something productive at the same time.
  12. The LED's around the edge aren't as bright as I'd like. But you can get around it by not putting the glare plate into it when you screw the bezel on. I did a thread about it recently.
  13. I think I was sick in my mouth a little.............
  14. FFS, I swore I'd never get caught out on a repost..... I guess I was just so overwhelmed by the thing that I just had to tell you lot.
  15. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=20343 Stunning, simply stunning.....
  16. Similar lines to the FTO. Very nice.
  17. When you say supra friendly, do you also mean supra de-cat friendly?
  18. You need your geo checked mate. Go to http://www.alignmycar.co.uk to find your nearest place. Your car is obviously lowered too. How has it been done, ie springs or coilovers?
  19. Are you sure you have the AEM tru boost reading in Bar and not PSI? (14.5PSI = 1 bar) I know you can change it to read in either from the settings menu I know you have J-spec ceramics on your car, and don't think you'd get away with 1.5 bar for very long.
  20. Oil pump is probably a good idea, it'll provide piece of mind that the FMS isn't going to jump ship along with all your oil when you're tanking it. As for the water pump, I'm not aware of there being any big issues with them, if they go, they go. If there's nothing wrong with it now, I don't see why you should bother replacing it. If I'm wrong on either of those though, I'm sure one of the legends will be along soon to correct me.
  21. Has is never worked properly since you've had the car then?
  22. There was a guy on here a while ago whose name escapes me who sprayed his matt black, I seem to remember he died shortly afterwards in an accident
