The 360 has far better cross game online intergration. The OS is constantly running in the background. This means, that as soon as I switch on, my profile is signed in, this then shows all my friends that I'm online. Big whoop you say?, my PS3 does this also. However, if you open a chat to your PS3 chum, that's all you can do, you can't play a game while you chat, you're stuck on a silly chat screen where you can send pictures to each other and nothing else. If you want to invite your mates to play cod 4 for example, you have to sort it all out on the phone, then send invites once everyone is signed in. If one of you gets booted because of connection problems, he can't jump straight back in, he has to be invited once your party is back in the lobby, and you can't dicuss this with him as you can't chat to him. You can open up a chat with up to seven friends on the 360, while all of you are playing different games. One of you can then send an invite out to everyone who can jump straight into whatever game he is playing, totally seemless, no interuption, and no break in communication. Due to the OS running, you can have custom soundtracks from your choice of music, from whatever source you want, so playing COD4 with slipknot from the IPOD blaring out is unbeatable. You can stream music from your pc, while playing games to use in the custom soundtrack, you can play from the 360 hard drive etc etc, the ps3 has some custom soundtrack support, but only on a handfull of games, the music also has to be saved to the hard drive. Then there's the VOIP, some blutooth headsets are gash, which means although you can hear people, most of them are garbled rubbish. Everyone has the same high quality headset on the 360, so it's as clear as talking on the phone. Bottom line, it's no where near as good on the ps3.

At a guess, your ISCV sounds blocked, but as posted above, a better explanation is needed.

Bought a 360 6 months after release. Sold it for the shiney new PS3, the online sucks balls compared to the 360's, sold the PS3, bought a standalone Sony 550 blue ray player and an elite 360. If it's a "games" console you want, the 360 takes it.

I've read that the stock ECU retards the timing quite a bit when it runs on our lower octane crud. If you're concerned, reset the ECU so it's forced to run with new values.

My best friends dad was diagnosed with cancer this time last year, all seemed to be going well, until the last month where he has deteriorated on a massive scale. He went into hospital last week then discharged him saying there's nothing more they can do. The doctor went round his house today and said he has three weeks max. My mate phoned me and I was stumped for what to say, I feel helpless. My mate seems to be dealing with it really well, but I'm racking my brain on thinking of ways to be there for him and his family. He said his dad would love to meet Jeremy Clarkson, and I've been asked to look into it, I know there's pretty much no chance of making it happen though, which makes me feel even more useless.

Where are you lot getting you HID kits from? I've bought the ones knightracer supply, they're all very posh and come in a nice magnetic flap box, I've not plugged them in yet, so can't comment on any issues.

Hello fraser, long time no see Have you seen what I've done to your supe yet?
-
Yes mate, pretty much the same on all cars, it's a bit of a pig job due to the positioning you have to get into, but if you've done an S2000, this'll be easier

Spotted you driving through Blackfen this evening, looking very nice

Everytime you pull away, you slip the clutch. So as long as the clutch has not been slipping excessively, it may be fine. Have you had any bad clutch smells? Smells usually indicate severe slippage and wear. Sure, adjust the clutch bite point down, you may find you can rescue it. To do it, push the drivers seat all the way back, then dive into the footwell headfirst with a torch. Look up at the clutch pedal, you'll see a brass bar. On this brass bar, you'll see a lock nut on one end, with a larger hex adjustment behind it, crack off the lock nut and adjust it using the larger hex. Wind the bar in, in a clockwise motion. Only minor adjustments are needed. A couple of turns will pull the bite point down from the top, to the middle. Good luck.

Sure there's not much you can get wrong when it comes to actually fitting the clutch, but the pedal adjustment is crucial, especially if you're going from stock to aftermarket, or vice versa. You may or may not know, but I recently removed the 6 puck from mine and fitted a stock one, the biting point with the new stock one was literally millimeters from the carpet. So it must have been adjusted when the 6 puck was put in, if it was left in the same position, as I imagine yours was, then the 6 pucks biting point would have been right at the top, instead of in the lower half/middle area. So it must have been lowered. I had to raise mine up so the bite point is now about an inch from the carpet, so much more driveable.

Holy crap dude, that's some serious bad luck. I can't imagine where the rubber crap has come from, I can only imagine that between the transition of the TT lump from the donor car to yours, someone has dropped something into the oil filler hole, in fact, come to think of it, it could be the rubber bottom to the oil cap , Its then rattled around between the cams until it finally fell into the valve area. With regard to the clutch, the RPS are quite well renowned as being great quality. Where was the bite point on the pedal when you had the clutch fitted,? If it was too high up the pedal, you could suggest it was never engaging properly and was always slipping, just not to the point where it actually gave way. Get it back to whoever fitted it mate, weekend light use should not wear a 6 puck sport clutch out so quickly. From you current mods you've stated, you're not even running BPU power, so it should have lasted years.

Just shy of £500

Having measured mine, the front lip of the Ridox presently sits just shy of 5 inches from the deck. Compared to other peoples cars on here, is that excessively low, or will I get away with it?

O/D light blinking, TC not working, manu button not working!
pistonbroke replied to a topic in mkiv Technical
First off, welcome to the club mate. Having carried out a quick search on here, a flashing OD light points to a possible problem with a speed delimiter. Is the car restricted, or will it carry on past 112mph? The TC is rubbish in these cars, even with it on, you can get them to step out. When yuou get the wheels spinning, does the traction control flash up on the dash?, if not, it may well be disconnected. The MANU button should illuminate a light on the dash, if in D, it will drop the car to third if cruising, you then have manual shift control between L (first gear), 2 (second gear) and D (third gear), great fun in the twisties. I was only reading the other day about a dicky manu switch in someone's auto shift lever thing. Take the lever off and see if it's disconnected, failing that, try another lever. I have no idea about the relay bit I'm afraid, I don't have an auto anymore so can't verify it for you. Good luck -
The flickering on and off can only be a problem with either his wiring, or the unit itself. The high idle and lumpy gearchange could be down to the fact that the battery may have been diconnected and the ECU has reset. It can sometimes take a while for the ECU to sort itself out after a reset.

Thats the first time I've seen that. Looks like the plug next to it has been replaced at some point too.

Did you phone the police when you saw it?
-
Good effort mate
-
Take it back to whoever fitted the profec E-01 mate.

It is true mate, I love the falken 452 tyre, I've had them fitted to my last three cars. I voted incorrectly at the start, and was then too baffled to do anything about it. Falken 452 FTW

On one of the sites that shows how to do the TTC mod, it states that it'll run rich during the early revs, where the first turbo should cut in, and until the computer sorts itself out. http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/articles/andy.htm Last paragraph on this article

Is it at all dangerous to run in TTC with a stock ECU? If it's at all overfueling, am I risking bore wash?

Welcome...... Oh well, easy come, easy go
