  1. I doubt plasma will be fazed out, there are pros and cons for both. Plasma, you generally get a bigger screen for your buck, and they have no issues with blurring. As for the lifespan thing, utter rubbish mate. There are still gen 1 plasmas hanging in lakeside shopping center doing the same display that have been for the last 10 years.
  2. I love the look of some of them new OLED screens that are about 1cm thick.
  3. I had all this with the S2000 as they are prone to leak through the seals where the door meets the windscreen. Advise was to never use vaseline, and use a proper silicone lube.
  4. Another + for HSD's. Not sure how long they've been on my car, but they're certainly used. However, there is no corrosion issue, just a layer of road crud to clean off Ride quality is amazing.
  5. Lol, I doubt it mate, more like 275/30/19.
  6. awwwwwww, my first dog was a ridgeback, called Red. He was the most intelligent dog I've ever known. I miss him Not anything like my mental Dalmation Rotweiller(sp?) cross I have now
  7. Pah I'm not a massive fan of spiders, but I'll let them be when I see them scurrying across the floor late at night. If they don't bother me, I won't bother them. However, this is one cool spider, if I had to have a pet one, this would be it. The cobalt blue tarantula http://www.jc-world-of-pets.co.za/images/cobalt%20blue%20tarantula.jpg
  8. The jade r's also don't look that aggresive in 18".
  9. Just so you know, the Rota GTLM's look quite a lot bigger than the photoshop pic indicates. http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/2697/dsc00074vi6.jpg
  10. I've seen them fitted vertically in the past, and not read anything that would suggest it's a problem. Out of interest, why are you doing it vertically? I've just mounted mine horizontally and it never even crossed my mind to do it any other way.
  11. Or, there's always people like Keron or Jezz, who I'd trust to get you some low mileage second hand stockers. You could always get them, and have them checked before you fit them for pice of mind.
  12. It's all about the money mate. I've just scraped together enough really to get all the body stuff sorted. Plus - I don't mind getting my hands dirty every now and then. It'll be on my to do list when I get her back
  13. I like everything, bar the shark fins. Good luck with it mate.
  14. Top effort adnan, I had no idea you were so hands on. Back off from SUPRALOOPY - I'm next
  15. Oh crap dude, all this time I thought you were reading the codes from the engine light. That's why your getting odd error codes. Sort the dry solder joint and do it again.
  16. I couldn't work out the panic or refresh stage.
  17. I'm pretty sure someone on here has done it before, but my searching skills are not finding anything. I plan on getting an AEM AFR gauge in the near future, and I'd like it to go next to my AEM boost controller which is currently in the old clock recess. I know people have fitted 60mm gauges in there before, but the AEM only comes in 52mm. Any ideas?
  18. I also came from the MR2 fray many moons ago. I had a rev 4 tubby, then jumped to the TT supra. I have to say, stock vs stock, the mr2 would take even a TT up to about 70, then the torque of the supe would kill it. BPU supra though.......................a whole new ball game
  19. DATinter, the guy that used to own my car, sold his 350z for the supe. Providing you get a good one, I don't think they're particularly costly to run. In comparison to your 350z, the TT will be considerbly quicker. The only real sacrifice I'd say is the interior of the Supra is quite dated compared to your 350. Then there's the tuning potential. You have to pay BIG bucks to get the 350 to perform anywhere near a BPU supra.
  20. I think some did, I believe it was a option. My car had them on when it came over
  21. Awesome answer mate, very insightful Don't get me wrong, I love games. When my first 360 failed, I was livid, I did everything I could to make sure the console was well ventilated, made sure it was never dusty. But it still failed. When I got the replacement through, I traded it in for the PS3. I had the PS3 for a year, I loved the facts that its build quality was outstanding, everything ran the way it should, it looked nice next to the rest of my AV setup, it played BR films etc etc. I even convinced all my other mates to purchase one so we could play online games together. However, after a year, the gaming experience just wasn't the same. The online component is so severly gimped in comparison to the 360's, that I went back. I bought an elite model with the apparent upgraded MOBO, so it 'apparently' shouldn't fail. So far (fingers crossed) this one has been fine. It's always in the back of my mind though, that another RROD is right around the corner.
  22. MS = Software developers, not hardware. This is their (admittedly rushed) second outing into hardware which explians why it's got some serious design flaws.
  23. Yeah, there are other pics of it on the site with different rims.
