  1. Falkens are lethal until they are scrubbed in. I lost my s2000 when I first put falkens on it.
  2. I''ve removed the aerial on mine, I'll be getting one of the internal ones, then running it up the weather strip utilising the original aerial loom from the rear quarter and mounting it at the top of the rear window. With the rear window tinted, you'll never see it.
  3. Love it mate. Abflug low level spoiler would also suit.
  4. Nah, he's a good boy, all bark and no bite. Still, it'd shit you up if you didn't know.
  5. I've been at it with a pick axe and spade mate, when I trailered it down to Dave, it only touched the ground on one part that I need to sort. I'll have it sorted before Dave is done.
  6. I had some chrome caps on my S2000. It was parked outside on the drive while my garage was being built. I was sat in my living room and saw 4 lads suddenly surround the car and bend down at all 4 corners. I got my dog and opened the door, I shouted at them and released the dog. He chased them off down the road, one of them fell over and started pleading with me and crying. Funnily enough, them caps remained on the car to the day I sold it
  7. If you are inferring that I've spoilt it by adding a kit, fair enough. It's all down to personal preference though. Sure I love some stock bodied cars, but they need that something extra to make it work. For example, jamieP's car is stock bodied, but the combination of advans, subtle rear diffuser, lip spoiler and stance, make the car what it is. Put his next to a totally stock car, and it makes the stock one look pants. There is also a pic of an american white one knocking about, with a set of wheels that are probably worth more than my entire car alone, sure it looks stunning, but you need touches like that to make them stand out from the crowd. End of the day, it's all personal taste. I want something different. If you parked your stock UK spec next to MattH's, and left them there for a few hours, I guarentee it wouldn't be your stock one that gets any attention. And thats what I want, something that stands out, something that turns heads.
  8. Shit, sorry Dave. I thought it was always a case of pay peanuts, get monkeys. but I forked out for this stuff big time Just do your best mate.
  9. Well, having searched around, I'm pretty sure that engine ain't from a supe, I believe its from the Aristo as the sump pan is at the front. If you tried to fit this to a supe, the subframe would prove to be a bit of an issue In fact, I recently recall a thread where a member on here bought a second hand engine, that proved to be incorrect (the sump was like the one shown here), then it got real messy and ended up in court.
  10. I might be completely wrong here, but I think the sump looks wrong.
  11. Shame that wasn't a double post, I'd love to hear that one again...
  12. Wait a minute, I've seen this type of thing before....................
  13. Blimey, if it gets the JP seal of approval, I'll know I've done something right I've gone for a combination I've not seen before, I want to be different, without ruining the cars looks. The only down side to this, is I've only seen the end result in my head. There are cars out there with parts that I've bought, but none of them are fitted to just one car. I just hope the diverse options work well together. It'll be one expensive minger if they don't (if that happens, I'll rename her 'my wife')
  14. Stick to 8k mate, you just might have to wait for a bit for the buyer to come along. Someone out there will wake up one day and want for nothing more than a mint aerotop. It's then that you'll get your money
  15. Hmm, each to their own, but I think that guys a bit optimistic. The wood dash would be first on my list to bin. He's also full BPU, which can be a plus or minus depending on the buyer. Also, depending on what wheels he currently has on the car, one pic shows BBS LM's which are serious money in their own right. Personally, I prefer the look of yours, but I'd say more like 8K.
  16. Erm, yeah, you'll fail an MOT. Indicators have to be amber. Red lenses will make them red, irrespective of what bulb you put in them. With the clear lenses, you can put orange bulbs in to get the desired colour.
  17. Don't worry, that lip has gone, along with the bumper, spoiler, headlights, stock side ducts, wheels, indicators, side repeaters, aerial and stickers She'll be totally different.
  18. WOOOOT!! I'm like a kid before christmas. I can't wait to see her once he's worked his magic ! :D:D I've owned the car since May, driven her 3 times, already spent ££££'s on her. Watch this space peeps Just for reference - this is what she used to look like
  19. Shit, sorry dude. I don't think I've seen so many dead supe threads as there have been recently. Get your money off the insurance and give them another run, you might find it's not as bad as you think.
  20. From what I can tell, it sounds like belt squeal. Some may not approve of this, but get some lubitol (or other silicone based lube) and spray a tiny bit on the ribbed side of the belt when the engine is running. If the noise stops, it's the belt.
