  1. Hodge, could you do me a favour, could you measure the width of the D2 calipers? I'd like to know if they'd fit on mine with the wheels I have. I have UK spec calipers at the moment, and the clearance is very close. If they're any bigger than UK spec, they won't fit.
  2. I believe its the bomex with the side ducts painted black. IIRC, that car now has the far superior TRD bumper fitted to it.
  3. Brilliant work Dave, thats the one area of the car that I've been unsure of on choices until now. I was never sure about what rear would go with the rest of the kit. I toy'd with the trial rear option, then got quickly put off by several members about fitting issues with it. Then I thought about the stock look and toyota ones, but again, really wanted to get something that not a lot of people have. So sgain, plumped for the Ridox option. I was a bit concerned when you were offering them up to the car and seeing how pissed they were (especially when I paid a good price for them), but clearly, you have the skills to pay the bills
  4. The insurance company haven't written it off, as it's not in their interest I suppose. They can sell it on for more if it's not got a write off marker on it.
  5. Glad to help mate, hope you get it sorted soon.

  7. Could well be the coil mate. I'm sure that's where your rev counter gets the signal feed from, and to see the needle dropping so drastically when it cuts points to it being a possible culprit.
  8. If memory serves, the TRD mounts are stiffer than stock, so anything causing vibration in the first place would be exaggerated by the stiffer mounts. My money is your flywheel, they are dual mass jobbies, and would imagine they cause vibration when buggered, the vibration was probably there before you replaced all the mounts, but your stiff mounts are making it transmit to the rest of the car so you can feel it. I take it you mean vibration at 1800rpm when the car is stationary. If this is the case, it's almost certainly the flywheel, as its the only big rotating mass big enough to cause vibration from the gearbox area.
  9. £900 for genuine BBS Lm's...........................deal of the century!! I'd had torn your hand off for them a couple of months ago, I've just paid about that for copies
  10. Yup, the aristo sump pan is at the front, the supes is at the back.
  11. Got these two cars up for grabs. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1226000.htm http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1225947.htm
  12. Jeeeesus Hodge, you don't hang about do you?
  13. Hmm, is that a carbon bonnet with UK style scoop for 550 ?
  14. Exactly, people suggesting WEDS, CCW's and other forged wheels may be futile.
  15. I fitted some sounds into the back of my mk2 xr2. I had a cheapo (but massive) fury amp which was not secured properly. Some enthusiastic driving round lakeside saw the positive terminal of the amp rest up against exposed metal in the cars frame. As if this wasn't bad enough already, I didn't bother fitting an inline fuse, so the ensueing fire ruined my boot carpet and parcel shelf. The wire running from front to back also set fire to the carpet inside the car all along one side
  16. Someone needs to go to spec savers
  17. Ok, Is this any better. ? At least your hear the awesome engine noises in this one http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gameplay-montage-need-for/55405
  18. the new one looks pretty sweet though.... http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/need-for-speed-shift-tv-spot?size=large yes...............thats ingame
  19. Is it that obvious , I love driving games, they're my favourite genre. Dirt 2 out next week, then NFS shift (which is looking awesome BTW) a fortnight later. They should tide me over for Forza 3 Turn 10 is owned by MS, so no Forza on PS3 I'm afraid You'll be getting GT eventually though, which has recently been confrimed to have damage. I wouldn't judge the final GT on GT prologue. Prologue was mearly more than a beta (that you paid for). The final game will be much more polished.
  20. http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/02/forza-3-welcomes-1000-horsepower-bugatti-veyron-supercar/ Probably the closest you'll get to driving the real thing.
  21. TBH, if you're worried about protecting the front stick with stock.
  22. Stillen ones are urethane I believe. And recommended by a few on here for their fitment and strength. Not personally had any experience with any aftermarket bumpers, I'm having a Ridox copy fitted to mine at the moment which is FG, with a rubber coating. I'll let you know in 6 months how it's holding up
  23. Cheers Dave, lovin your work bud No need really mate, for the most part, the paint is in pretty good condition. (well, in my eyes it is, Dave may think otherwise )
