  1. Virgin 10mb so I supposed that's ok. The throttling at peak times annoys the shit out of me though. I download half a film and it gets capped to a 2mb equivalent I had the 20mb when it first came out for £30 a month, but after 12 months, they put it up to £37. Thats just too much for broadband, so I went down to the 10mb package. I'm thinking of binning sky though and getting the whole package from Virgin. Then I should be able to have the 20mb connection with the HD TV for roughly the same as what I'm paying now.

  3. When it gets colder, which it has done recently down in London (last night was bloomin freezing !!), the Supra can and does idle that high when first started. Mine hasn't got to 2000rpm, but it's been close. I doubt there's anything wrong with it mate, sounds normal to me.
  4. Cheers Casey, I just got off the phone to John (dude) and chatted with him about it. I won't have the funds for a full head off recondition job until next year. He's said though that stem seals would defo give me smoke on startup first thing, but I don't get any of that. I've googled a bit for the past 30 mins and the PCV is a prime candidate for my symptoms. I'll wack a new one on seeing as thay are relatively cheap and report back with the findings. I'll take off one of my FMIC pipes this weekend and have a gander. Fingers crossed the tubby seals aren't fubar'd. I can't afford to go single yet. (though if the missus gets wind of what I;ve been spending recently, I'll be single a lot sooner )
  5. I get no smoke on idle, none on over run, I just had the occasional puff when throttle is re applied after coasting.
  6. See, mine doesn't actually smoke on over run, it's when the throttle is applied after over run, I get a little puff very randomley. However, to report back after my blat last night, I got no smoke at all today while driving. Could it be some old oil deposits of oil that dried up while the car was stationary for so long?
  7. Blimey, seems like there's a few of us close by, mini meet anyone ? Keep a look out for me in my silver one, I love being spotted
  8. Turbo seals would smoke on boost, but I get nothing, just on overrun. I finished work late last night and took her for a spirited drive, (the first one since I;ve had her back). My word she flys !! . It was too dark to discern whether I had any smoke but another run out today will confirm it.
  9. I think I spotted you outside the police station yesterday as well. I think I've also seen you up around Elysian Avenue in Petts wood. Can't be that many white supes round here.
  10. White smoke is water, it's defo blue though and stinks of oil. I've just been out to check the PCV valve, it's got blue oil mist all around it and the connecting pipe is solid, so no doubt the connecting breather pipes between the covers are the same too. I'll change the PCV first seeing as it's dirt cheap along with the pipes and see if that has any effect. I'll report back once it's done with the results. Feel free to suggest anything else in the mean time though
  11. Noticed today that my car belched out a puff of blue smoke after a while sat idling in traffic. I then managed to get it to do it again by coasting in gear off throttle (over run) and then applying the throttle again. I've never seen any puffs on startup which I thought would indictate stem seals, and I get no smoke on boost or at any other times. So, according to this thread it could still be valve stem seals http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=67516 But I get nothing on startup. Throughout my searching, I've found that the PCV can cause smoking issues, but haven't found in what circumstances it would smoke. Thoughts please, before I give the car to AFR for stem seal replacement. Edit to add, my car has been sat recently for up to a month between starts, could this period have dried the stem seals out through lack of use?
  12. I'm still thinking the TPS is a culprit. If you're at 40 like you say, then ease off the accelerator slowly, not fully lifting off, but slowly closing the throttle as the car slows, is there a specific point on the throttle travel that the fault occurs? There are instructions on here somewhere of how to test the TPS with a multimeter
  13. I have to agree, I'm not a soap fan at all, but found her performance to be quite brilliant. I've had to section loads of people before and her acting was spot on. It reminds me actually of one call I got about 6 years ago, it was a night duty in Lewisham, about 3 o'clock in the morning the caller states a woman at the location is going crazy. The location was a local authority run hostel for the mentally unstable. Apparently the residents were not mad enough to warrant round the clock care and supervision, though forgetting their meds would often send them off into a schizophrenic rage. So we get there, all seems quiet, the lights are on in the communal hallway but all the room lights are off. I peer in through the thin clear sections of the misted glass front door window. I can't see any signs of life. I turn to my colleague and ask that he calls the original caller to get some more info. I turn back to look through the door again and I nearly shit my pants. Standing 2 ft from the door was a 20 stone black woman in her mid thirties, wearing nothing but a thong, and brandishing a steak knife. She was wide eyed and foaming at the mouth. I fookin cacked myself when she started bashing the door and screaming that she's going to kill us!. She was distracted by another resident who opened their door to see what the commotion was, the woman turned and ran towards the resident with the knife held above her head, we smashed the window in the door and got inside while her back was turned. It took 6 of us in the end to disarm and restrain her. When schizophrenics have an episode, they seem to be able to tap into some primitive instinct that gives them unbelievable strength. Seriously scary stuff.
  14. Probably a bit of public retaliation against Simons comment about them ruining the show if they were to win. I don't think Kandy Rain could have won it, but I do think they were robbed of their time in the show. For people like me who are forced to watch it by the other half, young ladies wearing skimpy outfits is the clouds silver lining
  15. Cool, it seems like you've done a bit of research before just diving in. Look forward to seeing it come together.
  16. Hmm, I need to get some better pics of her ------------------------------- This one also flick my switch
