  1. Evening all, I'm after the part number for valve locks (or valve retainers, whichever you want to call them). I seem to have misplaced one while changing my valve stem seals. Thanks, Luke
  2. So this would plumb straight into my autobox?
  3. Oh right, you mean the bonnet is too weak for the struts and they're putting too much pressure on it... I get it now
  4. What sort of offer do you want for it, £50?
  5. What aftermarket bonnet do you have? I have a carbon bonnet and its very light, I'd be amazed if even the weakest of weak struts couldn't lift it!
  6. Anyone else know about this 'secondary ring' ?
  7. Go to a nice hotel in Ireland. My mother and her husband bought some flights to go over there for £20 EACH return! They're staying there for a long weekend (with friends). So just find a nice hotel and your mission is achieved. Apparently there are some nice views and ermm stuff...
  8. Rear wheel bearingS - Is this for two or one? Does it/they come with the seal kit?
  9. I'd go to a suspension specialist. Seems like an odd issue
  10. No, no problems when the car was last used. I was just going to change them as a peace of mind thing until I read they should be good for more than 30k miles and I'd only done 16k
  11. I've had my denso iridium IK22 sparkplugs in the car for 16,000 MILES (nearly 3 years) and I'm just debating wether or not to change them to new ones while I'm doing the valve stem seals. In the spark plug guide on here it says they're good for 30,000 MILES + So, change them or not?
  12. I might need to buy a TT psp, how much you want for it?
  13. I totally appreciate what you're saying Tom, but for us people who cannot afford £5k for a spray job there has to be a happy medium. A decent job for a decent price, which is what I feel I got (and expected) I'll be the first to admit my spray job won't be as 'good' as Mr Joe Bloggs down the street because he paid 4 or 5 times the amount I did, but I'm very happy with the result of my spray job that cost me a reasonable amount of money imo. Who cares anyway, 1k or 5k, the front end will need redoing after 12months anyway
  14. Hello Tony, did you find the swap over easy enough? I'm in the same boat as you were and would appreciate some feedback
  15. I had a colour change (black to midnight purple) last May. Glass out, blended trial rear, blended skirts. I had to strip the car myself (including glass) and then rebuild it when he was done. We agreed on £1500 and a max time of 2 weeks. Only thing he didn't paint was the engine bay. I'm happy with how it turned out, even nearly a year later. No doubt the eyes of someone like Peter Richards will pick out bits that aren't 100% but overall I'm happy and thats what counts isn't it? I also made sure I saw at least 6 of his full paint jobs on previous cars before commiting.
  16. I know nothing about camber etc, but where did you take it for the geo doing?
  17. Did the coilovers not get bent or anything with the impact? Could be interested depending on price. PM me a ball park figure?
  18. Yeh sounds like a good price Think mine was around £140 from Nic, but I didn't mind the 6 week wait
  19. Most of the traders on here will sell you one Approx £140-180 IIRC B4stard of a job to change though
