Bloody hell! Amazing difference just due to the area. The one we are looking at is brand new, very nicely equipped i.e washer, dishwasher et ect all included. Not the biggest of semis, but definately big enough for us. Its a block of 3 and has an enclosed courtyard area which makes it very private. Do you think the average salary down your way compensates for the high house prices?

Plenty of those around here! Thats all they seemed to be building at one point. I reckon you could buy a 2 bed appartment thats less than 3 years old for around £80-90k Whats the price of an average size 3 bed semi then?

Rob - take a look at Yorkshire bank website. They seem to be offering 95% LTV mortgages and also theres a mention of 100% LTV for customers who bank with them at 5.3% I have an appointment with them tomorrow. Looking to buy a 3 bed brand new townhouse with garage for £110k, repayments should be circa £565 if my math is correct Good luck, theres lots of research to do!

SOLD A nice fella from Gateshead came down today and liked what he saw. Hopefully he'll be joining the forum next week so I can keep a track of my baby He was buying it with the intention of converting to manual, but after we went for a test drive he himself was converted Just something for potential buyers to bear in mind... these auto boxes are excellent! I feel a bit empty

Yeh I've discussed it with a couple of friends and the general feeling is the BMW will be easier to sell and more than likely fetch closer to £10k!? It does look like a nice example, higher milage ones on pistonheads are going for 10k+ so I think I'll arrange to have a look at that

A ford focus is going to cost £163 for the week + £40 for a child seat + £10 per day yound drivers surcharge (£70) so £273 for the week.... which I think sucks big time!

Hey everyone. I'm off to Irleland (Galway bay in the south west) in September and will be flying into Shannon airport. Been looking at some hire cars for the week for around £140 for the likes of a ford fiesta/focus etc. Problem is they all seem to want to charge an extra £10-15 per day because I'm not 25 (I'm 24). Just wondered if anyone had used any company inparticular and found them to be reasonable? edit: and an extra £40 for a bloody child seat... scamming gits!
