Need to firm up on a date. Shall we say 5th June? I've got a Alfa Shoot Out as well and I'm trying to juggle you around. Regards Pete

14.5lbs was the weight of the 10lb bottle. 24.5lb obviously when full. This is one we filled the other day. I don't know the empty weight of the NX 5lb'er Why do you need to know? When you fill it you have to exhaust all the gas (air as you've used the NOS up I'm guessing) in it anyway so weigh it then ! Maybe I'm missing something? oh we regas NOS bottles as well regards Pete

Sat 24th April (Sat only 1/2 day enough for 8 to 10 cars.) Sat 8th May (will have to fit in an Alpha 166 between 11 and 12) Sat 5th June (completely free) Normal Power Run price is £60 incl VAT Group = 5 or more With advance group bookings and full payment BEFORE day. £45 incl VAT With no advance bookings or prepayment (i.e. you just turn up) £60 incl VAT There is not enough time for tuning within the 1/2 hour allotted per car for power runs. A power run is simply .... get car attached to dyno....perform between 3 and 6 acceleration runs in quick succession allowing you to change boost controller settings (no modifications are made) .... remove car from dyno. BUT.... if a group book and want some setting up of boost controllers, fuel computers etc (simple piggy back systems) then I can offer tuning at £70/hr incl VAT (normal price is £80+VAT=94/hr) Most of you will be definitely sorted out within the hour. This alllows you to run multiple boost settings, NOS, different fueling, tweek fuel pressures etc etc. All datalogged and plotted out for you. So 25% discount for a Power Run or 25% on the hourly rate for tuning. Regards Pete

THOR will be bringing his Dyno along Regards Pete

Did you check the solder on the connector pins? Sometimes there is a dry joint and the solder is cracked making an open circuit. Best to just resolder all the conector pins to make sure it's not that. Is it JUST the air con illumination that's faulty? Could be a similar fault in the illumination circuit as a whole. Regards Pete

Results are.... With 100HP NOS jets spraying on the intercooler he got 30HP improvement. Nothing was visibly ingested into the air intake. BUT if that was me (and I am fitting NOS this soon) I'd put my NOS to better use and stick it into the engine. Might be better to find another inert gas (that's cheaper) with similar heat reaction going from liquid to gaseous state as NOS. Then ingested NOS and some other liquid to gas coolant type thing on the intercooler (or even water but no where near as good). Purging NOS, especially before you go for a drag run is a good idea so why waste it over the windscreen to look good. Just purge onto the intercooler! ps. anyone spot us at Santa Pod over the weekend ? I saw a couple of you. Regards Pete
-
We are begining to offer this service. General oil, filter, plugs etc etc Not Cam belts or engine work just yet. Trying to juggle staff and equipment at this stage. Soon though. Regards Pete
-
We'll be there with the Dyno Regards Pete

Did anyone spot the post I made earlier about flamers? I've just made 10 sets for a company. Included the control box, spark plug, long lead, coil and cable for £50 all in. Yes you can make your own cheaper and I'll even sell a box of bits for you to solder together for £10 (you get the coil, lead and plugs etc) The £50 only just covers my time to colder it together. Regards Pete

Provided the converter is a decent one then yes. The key is having one with the original speed sensor signal output. You could use a connection straight from the sensor but it really shouldn't be electrically loaded like that. The VVTi is slightly different and is 80% likely to need a new converter. Regards Pete
-
It is definitely the conversion. Not the box but more the actual wiring of the box and other wires. Easily fixed. (by me ) drop me an email [email protected] Regards Pete
-
Without Jap import cars the error code ALWAYS refers to (99%) the fault in the speedo signal path or the converter. I've never known a speed sensor to be at fault! Regards Pete

I've got a guy coming in on wednesday with an R33 skyline with a NOS intercooler spray. I don't hold out much hope. Cannot be as good as injecting it into the engine! Seems a waste of NOS to me! But I'm willing to be open minded about it. Might be good enough. I've got three NOS kits with 5lb bottle for sale at £500 (so your chap got a bargain) Normally about £575 Regards Pete
-
Just a quick note to say we fit Highpower Wizards of NOS kits and these are WET systems. I would never ever fit a dry NOS system. You must (in my opinion) ALWAYS fit a wet system. Wet system = NOS + Fuel jets Dry system = NOS (no extra fuel) Regards Pete
-
Almost always 99% the speedo conversion carried out on the car. Sometimes 1% it's the odometer output drive that fails Either way my converter fixes all these issues TRL DSC Regards Pete
-
Sorry to sound picky but.... I did the tests You'll see on my new website extra features (uploading tomorrow 16th March) where we do "THOR Product Tests" if you can't wait here is the 99% completed site. THOR Dev Web Site (just ignore the naff flames ) The aim is to show real world power increases from mods that work and try to get the order sorted out for what to do when / where and why. Lovatt, if you want us to fit the FSE then ask (it's a bit of a twat on the Supra (skylines are a piece of piss in comparison)). We can supply as well. It'll be great to get a before and after (did you have the pump the last time the car was on the dyno?) Regards Pete
-
I was selling these for £60 all in. (as I'm hand making them, always gets cheaper if I make a proper production run of them.) BUT they are just the spark plug up the rear job and not the Butane gas bottle ones. So flame is dependant on the amount of extra fuel you have in the exhaust, mainly on overrun. You get control box and 1m long wires, long spark plug lead, ignition coil, fixings, spark plug ummm cuddly toy??? You need to supply a switch (too many people have different tastes for switch styles.) There is free info on the web and I'll provide a circuit if you fancy making it yourselves. Or I'll sell a kit of bits for the control box for £15 (saves my time soldering the dam things!) You get your own extras. Regards Pete

Thought I'd step in as it was my car and my dyno it was tested on. Well. 1: Dyno'd my car running at whatever level I've had for the last 3 years 2: It was lean. but then I knew that. 3: Fitted FSE and set to stock pressure. 4: Dynoed again and noticed in the process of measuring the fuel pressure that it was actually dropping pressure. This could only mean one thing. The pump did not have enough flow to cope with the requirements fo fuel at stock fuel pressures. Something I wish I'd measured before I started the tests. So I was now left in the unfortunate position that meant I had no choice but to fit the pump. Again I wish I was able to show before and after JUST the pump but I cannot. Should anyone be having this mod done soon then I can always check their car. With the new pump and FSE (set to stock pressure) the results are as above. The reason I believe I have more power now the mixture is richer is that the ECU was retarding ignition due to knock detectoin. There is now scope to map the fuel properly across the RPM band to get the most power out. Still not bad for a 110K mile car Check out my new updated website (going live end on Monday) which will show all the bits I'll be reselling and services I offer. Vastly improved I think. There will be (at long last) the BHP hall of fame. Plus EVENTS calendar, showing when are where we'll be with the dyno. Plus a BIG section on denso iridium plugs, NGK plugs, Highpower NOS kits, fuel additives, K&N filters, 106 octane fuels etc etc plus large FAQ's. If there's anything you need just ask. THOR Racing Regards Pete

I've actually just made 10 flamer kits for a company. (and have enough bits for 30 more) Make of that what you will. It's money and that's all that counts at present. Regards Pete ps. finally got my PC to view this forum again after 1 month! Flipping Norton Antivirus being TOO over protective.

Adi, The dollar is good at the moment and as you can get high and low impedance injectors you won't need the hassle of a resistor pack and all that wiring. Regards Pete
