Thanks matey. Nope, going down south.

Offer accepted and deposit on the way, so provisionally sold

Thanks all. It is for a good reason but I am still gutted. Worse still I keep getting sensible thoughts about selling the DC5 (Integra Type R) as well. I can afford to keep it, but I just keep thinking of the money thats tied up in it. I could sell it and get an EP3 (Civic Type R) for under 7k and have 4k in the bank. I know im getting old when I start thinking this sensibly Mark

Well just accepted an offer on my car and a deposit is on its way. Despite the fact that it's kind of a good thing as it will help us save before we have our next kid, I am totally gutted I have had quite a few cars in the past but have never really done much too them (usually just exhaust and suspension). With the Supra I did everything I wanted to it, short of putting a single in. Had a great time in the process and met some good people along the way. Will definately be around on the forum still as it is a good forum and a lot more active than the DC5 forum. Chances are that I won't have another Supra in the future as I would always be comparing it to my old / current Supra. With any luck in a few years I can try an Evo or Skyline, I will have to see. Anyway, gutted and am going to play BF2 Mark

Depending on what you mean by "needs some paint" I would say around the 10k mark give or take £500

lol, I was just about to shamelessly plug my car . Thanks very much Mikey. In answer to your questions Mark. The UK brakes do make a very big difference IMO. I had the J Specs on originally and then swapped to the UK's and it feels a lot better now. I wouldn't get to hung up on age either. Like Michael says, just get one that you like and that is within your budget. 18" BBS LM's are the perfect wheels for a Supra IMO The auto / manual is all down to personal preference really. I have owned an auto before and would never have one again. I love my six speed. I would try both though if I was in your position. You probably will be sad to see the MR2 go. I had a MR2 Tubby as well a few years ago. Whilst it did give me some headaches due to a problem I had with it, I still really liked to drive it. The Supra is brilliant though, in all ways apart from interior space. Oh and yes you should buy this car http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=129832 It is just shy of 12k, has UK brakes and does not look too chavvy IMO Good luck with your search. Mark

Looking very nice matey I love the Bride gradation down the seat
-
frickin muppets are already setting fireworks off

Yep, me and Cable will be seeing the new year in by playing Road to Jalalabad on BF2
-
Not quite useless as we have already established that you just don't use the base mount plates.
-
lol, no way. Its scary outside To be fair most of it is late at night when wife and kid have gone bed. It just means I don't get as much sleep as I would like, but hay ho
-
Don't worry mate, you havent got the wrong ones. You will just have 4 plates of metal that you don't need to attach to your rails.

lol, im facing a similar problem with my son. His TV needs to go in for repairs as it does not handle blue colours well at all, so I am going to have to take it off him for a few weeks as of next week

I use mine daily pretty much. Between 1 and 4 hours a day on average.

Thats what I said above, just in a lot more words I would go for the MO's as they cost about £7 more (when I look at the 2 types on Nengun.com) and you can use them in future for other seats. Mark

The only difference between RO's, MO's and FO's are the mounts. The RO's do not have mounts and thus the seats just fit directly to the rails. The MO and FO rail sets come with base or side mounts respectively. Go for the MO's or FO's as then you will also get the mounts, should you ever want to change seats. I think this is correct anyway. I spent a lot of time reading all about the different ones when I had issues with mine. Below is one of many emails sent to Nengun after they sent me side mounts instead of base mounts. "I have just been researching this via various sites which show the dimensions of the rails and part numbers. MO's definately work for the Supra and seats that I have. In fact the only difference between the FO and MO rails for the Supra are the actual mounts for the different type of seats. See attached word document. Looking at the actual rails supplied to me and comparing them to the ones on the Tee's site T109 and T110 rails are used for FO's, RO's and MO's. The only reason they use the code T109FO etc is because that is the kit code to make sure that they ship the side mounts with the actual T109 rail. This obviously makes sense from a manufacturing point of view as you can then just send the relevant mounts with the actual rail and save yourself producing 3 different types of rails. " Rails[1].doc

That sucks for your lad Mine just means I can't play BF2 with my little lad. But at least we are both into Lego Star Wars which you play co-op on one 360 Thats what they told me last time mine broke (they will fix it), but after 2 weeks they just sent me a new one. Hopefully they will do the same again. lol. I thought that when I phoned them back but I have switched it on and off a few times now and every time I get the red ring. I also took a photo of it just in case as well.

I do think it is very good apart from the obvious problem they have with reliability. It would seem that most of the issues surround this 3 red rings problem, for which they have a 3 year warranty, so overall I think you will be alright. Just make sure they have lots of free flowing air as heat is its enemy in a big way. Mark

Well for the past few days my 360 has been freezing, and it got to the point where I could not even get to the menu screen when a disc wasn't in. So I phoned the support line this morning and was told that my 1 year warranty ended about 3 weeks ago. The console in question was the replacement for my original 360 which had the 3 red rings. Anyway I was told that because it was just screen freeze and not the 3 red rings (they extended the warranty for that error to 3 years), that I would have to pay £60 to get it repaired . I was a bit p*ssed off, and told the agent that I would have a think about it, as I do not expect consoles to have a life of 12 - 13 months. Then I had a look on the xbox forum and noticed that a few others had had screen freeze, that had then turned into the 3 red rings. So I thought that I would just leave the console on until this appeared. within 3 seconds of me turning it on I get it. I never thought I would be happy to see these rings again, but this means I will probably end up with a new one free of charge Still shocking that it died in the first place. Sorry for the essay Mark

Ok, thanks. Im still not sure of the advantages to this over standalone units. Do you just use it for everything such as DVD player, Blu ray, HD DVD, torrents etc? Do you use it as well as the Sky box? lol, its starting to feel a little like that I have my pc setup in mine and Toms games room, and it is handy to play things like BF2 and watch all of the programs I download etc. If I ever get my ariel sorted I will be able to use the freeview built in to the TV's. I guess I am on the right track here, but could take it further by using it as a live tv recorder etc. Or am I way off? My room by the way (PC in the middle) Mark
