    Miss my Supra

Feelin' it sheefa, feelin' it. Mines been in and out of the garage since June, and still a week away. Supe driing is just always so smile-inducing that any other driving is just plain boring. Got so bad I've nicked my sons 'need for speed' and PS2 and done the supe up exactly like mine with the body and well up to APU for the rest. Hope I don't drive like that in the real supe when I get her back!!!! All the best mate, let us know when you get yours back and let us know how it feels.
  3. :D Ooooooohh... that's gonna take some washing! The TRD wing is a great idea but it looks gorgeous as is mate. Just think of all the other logo's you can have on your stack once the BPU starts coming through. Have to get some glass headlights now though.... just to finish it off. Still won't be as fast as mine though, albeit I'll need about 100 odd guys to push me! Oh, and a bloody steep drop.
  4. Have you got the switches for the active spoiler (dashboad one)please
  5. True, True. That said whenever I phoned them about other issues early on they promised to return my call but never did.. I had to do all the chasing. Nice guys though, not pushy... but getting any info out of them was like pulling teeth. I think this is what makes good car salesman... the silence. Teach me next time to negotiate a longer warranty even if it adds to the price. I assume you went back early this year to see the vvti. I don't think it was there 15 months ago was it?
  6. I bought the car in Plymouth. It was registered in 1999 in the uk so had done virtualy no miles in Japan. 1 previous owner so we know where the fault lies!- but he traded it in and I bought it from Torque imports with a 3 month waranty (about 6 months in and the problems started. They of course said that as the warranty was over, there was nothing they could do. (in fact suggested I could have done all this) Once this is over i am going to send them pictures and selected threads from this forum to let them know the kind of support they are likley to get from us in the future!!!
  7. I missed last weeks... bloody delighted when I noticed it was repeated at midnight on Sunday!
  8. Thanks for the info and research Nic.. Really appreciated...
  9. Thanks mate... how much budget you expecting to use up for this?
  10. Don't know either - would be easier of this is correct though... brings in the boost logic option? Shame they changed the Torque converter first then... where's that Till smiley! Thanks Jake. I've sent an email to Fenlands
  11. Thanks mate. Going for the most expensive option then... Having just spent over £4K on the engine I am looking for a cheaper out than that. You are probably right on the second hand front though. I would have thought these are rarer than hen's teeth!
  12. After a terrific rebuild by MKIV store I toddled about doing the 1000 mile run in and then it went back to Martin. With a number of other jobs lined up including RLTC fiting, it was taken up to speed before it's final rolling road tune. Then came the dreaded phone call. The car had apparently lost all drive. Changing the torque converter saw no improvement so the gearbox was opened to reveal..... the same bloody mess that my engine was in, complete with metal shards etc. Now apart from cancelling Xmas and selling the house to fund this 'reliable' car, I am about to be given a bunch of options Recon gearbox 2nd hand gearbox (with no guarantee) or some others I haven't guessed yet. It makes it harder as this is a tiptronic box in a vvti which may make a BL box a non option as I am unsure whether they make 'em. One more thing... I really feel for Martin as the bad news / good news ratio has been about 4 to 1 at the moment! He is generously offering to make no money on the gearbox but the labour is gonna add to my financial woes! Any advice guys?
  13. Both guys and gals admire the car but the grumpy middle aged blokes in my village mostly say... what's the point of having a fast car... you can't do over 70 in this country...
  14. Thanks for the advice guys. Carbing it is then... Clearly the additional benefit of the brake brace outweighs the bling. For the record, the Greddy was $119 plus $79 delivery. I'll wait to see the final invoice from my recent engine rebuild then contact you Nic to get an order in. Thanks to all who responded.
  15. Right. Thanks for that Jake... That confirms I have got dementia then... Just read the thread and found it hilarious again ... and again This is my second offence now... I am seriously thinking of changing my Repost Man... but then again, I guess that's already been taken!

    Arsenal 2 up

... and will those other two goals be spread out over the rest of the group matches???
  17. Steve Irwin Died doing what he enjoyed best Tommy Cooper also died doing what he enjoyed best So careful guys... No wanking tonight!
  18. I have a chance to buy a Greddy front strut brace for £125. Is this a good deal and/or good bit of kit?
  19. Homer was kind enough to post the resistance test ranges to me but this was for the non vvti engine as follows: Primary coil resistance (Cold): 0.54 - 0.84 ohms Primary coil resistance (Hot): 0.68 - 0.98 ohms Can anyone help furnish me with the test range for a vvti please
  20. I can feel an ebay moment coming on!
