  1. Having driven both engines, you get noticeably more low down urge, but the cost would hugely outweigh the benefits.
  2. 14 is ignition circuit, if I remember you used to get that through boost cut. What MAP sensor are you using? 21 is O2 sensor 31 is MAP sensor 47 is TPS related They may be due to a failing stock ECU, you haven't said what the spec of the car is. Honestly, best advice is to get rid of that emanage, its so old now and spend money on decent management, Link stuff is cheap and well supported now.
  3. I just know from talking to people that the reaction times of the stock sensor are pretty poor. Ive no tuning plans but just wondered if it could be an actual upgrade to the stock management
  4. I learnt from tuning the Supra that the intake temp sensor is a weak point in terms of response and hysteresis, so could you fit an aftermarket sensor and the stock ECU will be OK with it?
  5. Yes it came from a running car
  6. Thats the first thing Id do, check the level (flat surface engine running) Dont drive hard because you'll quickly burn the box out
  7. What spec is the car? Fluid level and condition?
  8. Nice reply Mike. OP I have a GTE manual ECU sat in my unit
  9. Also important details like who built the engine would definitely help
  10. Search the for sale section, Ive got a refurbished set as new condition
  11. You can test the fuel pump through the diagnostic port in the engine bay, just bridge terminals B+ and Fp, the pump should rn at 12v if its good. *Caution - The paperclip/wire gets fooking hot so use pliers to remove it *
  12. All seems a bit tinfoil hat to me, if that was your only reason to do it and, like you said you have the luxuries of money, equipment and space which many dont. Personally Id do what many others have and just get a Tesla battery and use it as a UPS, but chapeau for the work.
  13. Have you put 12v direct to the starter motor? Thats what Id do next
  14. If you can find one get a Chris Wilson cooler, top quality and an excellent upgrade
  15. Its probably worthless, could offer it for free and see if you you get any takers
  16. Always paint, dip and wrap looks naff, especially fake carbon
  17. Are they 4 wire on the VVTI? Ive to a few in a drawer, post up a picture of the plug
  18. Ive got an HKS boost controller, and pretty sure Ive still got a Chris Wilson fcd
