  1. This is amazing. It was only recently there was a campaign to recruit more teachers. I know of several ex-colleagues who have swapped from the engineering industry to become physics, maths, science teachers. Could be the issue is the subject matter being taught and not teaching in general.
  2. Dah biggiest crime here iz dah moidur of dah inglish langwidge.
  3. And I suppose you had to rip out the dash just replace this bulb.
  4. A few questions before you go tearing the electrics out. Was it working before you took it to the repair shop? Why would all of a sudden the timing be out. When I was a student, for a giggle we used to swap the ignition leads 180 deg so that the spark would be on the exhaust stroke. Then watch the victim flat the battery out trying to start it. What was the work being done on it? 2 weeks is quite a long time to charge a battery.
  5. I had mine done while sitting eyes wide open in the dentsit chair. Saw all the blood and giblets. Took 3 hrs because one tooth had a hooked root. And when the anaesthetic wore off ... ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! It was like banging my head against the wall after it had been clamped in a power press.
  6. On the subject of the Caterham, I'd say an emphatic NO!! A decent Roadsport or R300 will do. Caterham performance is down to their poxy weight 550-580kg!! You don't need much effort to tune the engine to get more than 500bhp/ton. I'm looking at one now. Anybody want a Supra?
  7. I disagree. This is like the Top Gear cool board. It's so BAD, it's brilliant!
  8. You'll get one but it'll probably have 150,000 miles on the clock. Happy hunting. Stick to N/A or Jap spec.
  9. Yeah but... no but ... you must've been 19 about 5 yrs ago and since then the face of motoring insurance as we know it has been defaced beyond all recognition. £3K would be about right.
  10. Don't bother with an N/A. After a few weeks on this forum, you'll be looking at go-faster widgets and regret not buying a turbo.
  11. UK spec, twin turbo, auto 62,000 miles in storm blue... mine. Time to 'upgrade' to a Caterham.
  12. Anyway your mate didn't say which part of Greece. Was he Macedonian, Thracian, Aegean, Ionian or even a Spartan and you know what they're like at a party.[sHOCK][/sHOCK]
  13. Council tax is £120. That's Cheltenham for you. Then water, gas, lecky, burglar alarm maintenance and building and contents insurance. It all adds up.
  14. I reckon I spend about £300/mth on bills for a 3 bed semi but that includes council tax. Yours will be included in the rent.
  15. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the water temp gauge brightness can fade to a faint glow while all the other gauges are bright. It's just one of those things you have to put up with with a 15 yr old car.
  16. I could've sworn blind that the heater temp light use to be on. Bizarrely I only noticed there wasn't one only last week. I've owned my Supe for 8 yrs!
  17. The 80s were the best times even though I spent 5 yrs of it living in a bedsit, spending every penny I earned coz it was so bugger all worth saving or so I kidded myself.
  18. A drawing or sketch would be useful with dimension tolerances would be useful.
  19. I use a Colchester lathe in our development dept for making little widgets. But I'm in Cheltenham. What material are your bushes? Brass, phosphor bronze...
